This is a fabulous way to explore the Istrian Peninsula, as you have the opportunity to see the coast and also explore inland. The boat is very comfortable and it is great to be able to get away from the crowds at the end of the day! The towns and villages that you get to explore are gorgeous and the coastline spectacular. Being able to swim off the back of the boat and cool off is an added bonus!

· Greece: The Peloponnese Peninsula
We spent a couple of weeks touring Greece before heading to the Peloponnese Peninsula. What a great way to end our trip! The roads were beautiful, the hills manageable, accommodations were great except for one night where the location was fabulous, the hotel not so much. We met some great people who may be international friends from Amsterdam and Australia now!

· Dolomites to Trieste via Lake Bled at the Foot of the Julian Alps
We experienced a true feel for three countries as we biked through this amazing area. There is much variety with this trip. We experienced small quaint villages, ski towns, beautiful mountain scenery, quiet forests, beautiful lakes and rivers, great restaurants, nice accommodations, mostly safe biking on trails and quiet roads. We took the slightly longer route through the hinterland into Trieste which gave us a peaceful ride until the city of Trieste. The App which was provided gave us peace of mind that we were always on the correct route. There were no worries about getting lost. We would advise having a phone holder that fits on your handle bar. We highly recommend this trip and would recommend Ebikes. There are many up and down slopes on a few days.

Very good ride. So much to see along the way and relatively easy. Planning with biketours.com worked well and our back and forth communication during the planning process was as expected. Pre-travel materials were accurate, and we were well prepared upon arrival in Europe. In country, Boat Bike Tours did a nice job. The boat was clean and well-staffed with friendly people. The bikes worked well, however we were not able to bring our own pedals and saddles as we have been able to swap them out on previous rides with biketours.com. Apart from blowing out the bearings on a pedal, we had no issues with the bikes. We went self guided and the directions via the Ride with GPS app were spot on and accurate. Highlights, bathrooms, restaurants along the route were highlighted and worth the visit. We liked having options on some days as well with a couple choices on rides. Though I enjoy staying in the different small European cities along the way and having our luggage transported on previous rides, the boat worked well, especially for those that wanted to take a day off due to rain or winds. For the most part, the boat parked in excellent locations making it easy to explore on your own. There was no curfew on the boat, so you could come and go as you please for the most part. Part of the trip is not riding, but on the boat. This is primarily through industrial areas, which was interesting because we traveled through multiple locks. We traveled with two vegans, and were told during planning process that they could not accommodate these diets, but the staff were eventually able to make vegan meals for the two which was not expected, but welcome none the less (thank you Firas on board the Fluvius!). Note that helmets were included on the boat free of charge, so don't pay the 10 Euro to rent one.

· Umbria’s Green Valleys From the Pilgrimage Town of Assisi
This was a brilliant way to experience and explore Umbria. The instructions were clear and the route design was really thoughtful. The tour operator has done a great job planning this route. There were so many highlights, riding through olive groves, exploring towns like Spoleto. We loved staying at Casco dell'Acqua, Ms Carla's cooking was magnificent.

The crew, barge and guides were all top notch and the food was really good. Beautiful bike routes took us through lovely local scenery! Enjoyed walking tours in Antwerp and Bruges. Guides were super flexible and offered different options on a day with bad weather. Highly recommend!

We were very happy with the trip. We enjoyed cycling in the beautiful surroundings of Bodensee. The trip was very well organized and all the hotels very nice. We were there in august, the warmest time of the year and dificulty sleeping at a couple of hotels that did not have AC. Otherwise the trip was super good and great fun. There is friendly atmosphere everywhere, good service and delicious food.I highly recommend this trip. Einar and Margret

· UNESCO Sites of Albania
First time biking as a way to visit a country and it was fabulous! I chose Albania as it was still untouched by tourism, the reviews were good, and it looked beautiful. Experiencing this beautiful country and its people while biking through its landscape fufilled my expectations beyond what I could imagine. The scenery was spectacular! And biking is a way to go! Our guide, Arijan and his assistant, Bato, were organized, patient, helpful, informative, and fun! We were in good hands! We had a group of 4 Americans, 4 Brits, and 2 Germans, which resulted in good exchanges and great conversations. I was thrilled with the variety and challenges of the varied terrain, but at age 70 an electric bike made the trip possible and enjoyable. The climbs would have been very difficult without one. I had read some reviews before signing on and took the good and necessary advice of training before going. Without training, this trip would be difficult. The bikes were in good condition and worked well considering a few of the rough roads we encountered. Our guides handled the varied paces of the group very effectively. The hotels were quite adequate with the exception of one mountain guest house, which was minimally adequate. The food was
abundant and very good. I highly recommend this tour company and the tour of Albania specifically! You will not be disappointed! It was a most memorable travel experience!- What was the date of your tour?

· Bicycle Paths of the Dolomites (based in one hotel)
This was my third trip with Bike Tours and it did not disappoint! The setting at Hotel Laurin in Toblach, Italy was stunningly beautiful! Every ride surrounded you with mountain views. Most of the paths were paved and well marked. There were only a few moments of confusion regarding the path to take. Hotel Laurin was very accommodating and served excellent gourmet meals every night and a hearty breakfast in the morning. At the hotel, there were several saunas and a steam room as well as an outdoor pool that awaited you at the end of your ride. The only concern I had was the initial confusion around the maps and rides that were self-guided as well as how these particular e-bikes operated (the e-bikes were great once you figured out the mechanics of them). An orientation by the rental bike company, Fun Active Tours, that provided the maps and bikes, would have been most helpful; and, I was not the only guest who thought an orientation would be helpful. I also had a problem with my attempt to rent a helmet from Fun Active Tours that responded in a less than accommodating way. However, Bike Tours considered my situation and responded most helpfully. In all, it was a fabulous trip which I would highly recommend! Elaine Kubicki
