  • Daily program

Day 1: Individual arrival in Copenhagen
Denmark's captivating capital, the 'City of Spires', has a lot to offer eager tourists, so an early arrival is highly recommended. You can even take one our cycling day tours around Copenhagen for a fascinating overview of the city! The medieval city center is unmissable, as are the famous Tivoli Gardens.

    Overnight in Copenhagen.

    Day 2: Copenhagen – Køge (34 miles/55 km)
The first cycling stage of the tour will lead you along the so-called Køge Bay, with its outstanding views of the Baltic Sea. The Amager Fælled National Park is absolutely free of traffic and home to sensational landscapes guaranteed to impress. For those interested in art, we recommend visiting the Arken Museum of Modern Art (closed on Mondays and Tuesdays). Køge belongs to one of the oldest cities in Denmark and is located directly on the coast, giving you the option of a swim in the sea that graces the beautiful white sandy beaches here.

    Overnight in Køge.

Day 3: Exploring the Stevns peninsula (day trip from Køge) (34 miles or 50 miles/55 or 80 km)
Today's trip will lead you to the peninsula of Stevns. You'll follow the coastal road that leads you swiftly to Strøby Ladeplads, with its numerous holiday houses. Later on, the path curves inland, where'll you pass the city of Magleby and Gjorslev Castle to reach the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Stevns Klint. The spectacular coast and the old church of Højerup invite you to linger here and enjoy the breathtaking views.

After a short ride, you'll reach Rødvig and the idyllic village of Fakse Ladeplads, directly next to the sea. From here, you can take a direct train back to Køge (train ticket not included in tour package) or cycle back via Karise and Herfølge.

    Overnight in Køge.

    Day 4: Køge – Roskilde (25 miles/40 km)
After Køge, the first part of the route will take you along the coast to Karlstrup. From here, the road will lead you gently inland to explore spectacular countryside. You'll cycle along the Hedebostien Cycle Path, which has been recently renovated to allow a direct connection between Køge Bay and Roskilde Fjord. You will experience breathtakingly scenic views that are in contrast to the coastal vistas you've previously enjoyed.

Riding into Roskilde, explore this city's rich, historical past. There's time to take a stroll through the historic city center and to visit the famous Roskilde Cathedral, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

    Overnight in Roskilde.

Day 5: Exploring the Roskilde Fjord (day trip from Roskilde) (16 or 22 or 31 miles/25 or 30 or 50 km)
Today you'll have 3 route options: The shortest will take you to Lejre, nicknamed the 'Land of Legends', which boasts a 43-hectare 'outdoor laboratory' used for experimental archeology. The second route passes by the beautiful castle and park of Ledreborg. Finally, for the cyclists who like a challenge, there's a wonderful day trip west to Holbæk or north to Frederikssund, passing the fjord.

Whichever route you choose, comfortable train connections are available for your return trip to Roskilde (train ticket not included in tour cost) and each path will charm you in its own way.

    Overnight in Roskilde.

    Day 6: Roskilde – Copenhagen (25 or 28 miles/40 km)
Today's stage leads you back to the starting point of your bike tour: the Danish capital of Copenhagen. From Albertslund, a newly built bike path will take you to the center of Copenhagen, nearly free of traffic. In the afternoon there is enough time for you to explore the city on your own.

Day 7: Individual departure or extension
After breakfast, your journey ends. We are happy to book extra nights for you to explore the Danish capital. A cycling day tour of Copenhagen comes highly recommended.
