Day 1: Lisbon – São Pedra Muel
Welcome to Lisbon! Arrive at the airport in Lisbon, meet the local tour company representative and transfer to São Pedro Muel (approximately 2 hours). You'll have your tour briefing and bike fitting here.

Day 2: São Pedro Muel – Óbidos (42 miles/67 km, 2,625 ft/800m elevation gain)
Your first day will be a ride through pine forests and along beautiful beaches. Take your time and get to an epic cliff to admire Nazaré, a typical Portuguese fishing village, where the fish is still dried under the sun. Your next section of riding brings to you another cliff to admire Peniche and Ericeira, typical Portuguese fishing villages.
From here, continue along the coast enjoying stunning views of the Atlantic ocean. You will arrive to Óbidos, one of the most beautiful and well preserved medieval villages in Portugal, with a unique castle sitting at its top.

Day 3: Óbidos – Peniche (32 miles/52km, 1,640 ft/500m elevation gain)
This day will begin close to the lagoon of Óbidos which eventually connects to the ocean, creating a wonderful place with a gorgeous beach. As you continue heading south, you will discover great rock formations, the Carvoeiro cape and the incredible town of Peniche, which rests on a peninsula. On this day, do not forget to enjoy the numerous restaurants located in Peniche as they serve an outstanding variety of fresh fish and seafood.

Day 4: Peniche – Ericeira (45 miles/73km, 2,789 ft/850m elevation)
Today, you will be starting by the sea. However, after a short ride, you will head back inland where an entirely different scenery presents itself. Authentic and rustic Portuguese villages with white houses and red roofs surrounded by beautiful countryside will invigorate you.
As you pass through incredible valleys of limestone and vibrant, green Mediterranean vegetation you will approach your final destination: Ericeira, the Portuguese surfing Mecca. Ericeira is also one of the most beautiful fishing villages in Portugal and will be your home for the night.

Day 5: Ericeira – Sintra (28 miles/43km, 2600 ft/800m elevation gain)
The Sintra Natural Park and its hills will be the set for today's adventures. Your route today will be continuous up-and-down along rolling hills. At the end of all the hills, you'll be rewarded with the sights of Sintra. Enjoy some of the beautiful places Sintra has to offer, such as Monserrate Palace. Here, you can stop and visit a unique and exquisite example of Romanticism. Once you arrive at the village of Sintra (UNESCO World Heritage Site), you will have the rest of the day free to explore and discover its mystique. We recommend visiting the astonishing Pena Palace, a fairy-tallish palace with a sequence of fantasy -like domes, towers, ramparts and walkways on one of the highest mountain peaks of Sintra.

Day 6: Sintra – Cascais (27 miles/44km, 2,461 ft/750m elevation gain)
Discover the impressive beaches nestling between the cliffs that have been artistically sculpted by the water and wind.
On the last day of biking, you will cross the hills all the way to the top, close to the mystical Convento dos Capuchos, which is installed in the rock and lined with cork. As you continue, your ride will take you to the Atlantic ocean where you will arrive at the westernmost point in continental Europe: Cape Roca, a promontory rising 150 meters above the ocean. Ride along the coast and finally arrive to Cascais, a lovely seaside town.

Day 7: Cascais - Lisbon
This is it! The week went by so fast. Today, it is time to gather all your memories, luggage, belongings, and say goodbye to Portugal. It has been a great adventure and we would love for you to come and discover more of Portugal's nature trails! Transfer from Cascais to the Lisbon airport.
