“This was our 3rd trip through BikeTours, and our first trip with our teens. It was a lovely way to intro the boys to bike touring. The route primarily follows the river taking you between farm land, forests, small towns and castle ruins. We booked an extra day in Hrensko and hiked the area, making a long meandering way to see the rock arch. We always try to anchor our bike trips with city visits - this tour was perfect for starting with 3 days in Prague and then ending with a short train ride to Berlin and 3 days of extra exploration.” Less

“The good:
Most of this tour was like stepping into a beautiful alternate reality where the hustle of modern life doesn't apply. We saw loads of horse drawn wagons, shephards tending to their flocks of sheep, community wells, and very little modern "progress". The food was amazing, the housing was awesome, the local tour company was more than responsive and super helpful.
This trip doesn't have bike paths. The very beginning of the ride and a good bit of the last day is on busy roads. The rest of the tour is on extremely rural roads.
Many places the water wasn't drinkable. Not a huge problem, but you do have to plan ahead (buy water). Unlike other European bike trips we've taken there weren't coffee shops/restaurants/gas stations for breaks.
We loved talking to the guest house owners and hearing their view on the history and culture of Transylvania.
If you want to get off the beaten path this is a great trip.” Less

“Southern Sardinia exceeded our expectations, offering an unforgettable combination of spectacular coastal scenery, crystal-clear beaches, charming seaside towns, and fantastic food. Every day brought something different, from dramatic cliffs and hidden coves to peaceful salt marshes and scenic coastal roads. The Cube e-bikes were comfortable and reliable, making the longer climbs and occasional headwinds far more enjoyable, while the Ride with GPS navigation made the route easy to follow with the flexibility to explore a few extra hidden gems along the way.

This tour is ideal for cyclists who are comfortable riding on roads with traffic, as there are very few dedicated bike paths. In return, you're rewarded with breathtaking scenery, authentic Sardinian hospitality, and plenty of opportunities to swim, relax, and enjoy the local cuisine. The local tour operator also provided excellent support throughout the trip, making the entire experience smooth and worry-free. We'd highly recommend travelling in May or late September/October when temperatures are cooler and the island is less crowded. It was a memorable cycling holiday that we would happily recommend to anyone looking to experience the beauty of southern Sardinia.” Less
