Brand new Magnifique!
Paris, Bruges and Amsterdam: Premium Bike and Boat
First, if any of you have done a boat bike tour on a Magnifique, this one is next level. (My wife and I have done several on the other Magnifique boats) The ship was only completed in April and they have outdone themselves this time. The food, the rooms, the open air bar, roof deck (lighting at night is amazing) plus if you book a suite it opens to the water. A support van meets you midday for snacks or lunch; staff was amazing, could not recommend this tour enough. Also, if you get to Bruges climb the Belfry tower (book ahead)...it's worth it. Same goes for checking out the train station in Antwerp. It is a cathedral of transportation and I've personally seen quite a few train stations in Europe.

Had a Wonderful Time!! What a Great way to see small towns and beautiful scenery!!! Just Breathtaking! Bike trails are amazing a few areas we got confused on which way but made for a good laugh. Will definitely do another Bike Tour!!

Paris, Bruges and Amsterdam: Premium Bike and Boat
Can’t recommend this ship and route enough! The food was outstanding every day, and the support van available along the route was a thoughtful touch that gave us extra peace of mind. We loved both the bikes and the cabins—they were comfortable, well-maintained, and made the entire experience feel effortless.
The cycling route was beautiful, with a wonderful mix of charming towns, scenic countryside, and memorable stops along the way. The crew was friendly, organized, and always willing to help, making the trip feel relaxed from start to finish. Glorious holiday!
Paris, Bruges and Amsterdam: Premium Bike and Boat
From the moment we stepped aboard, we knew we had chosen the right trip. The ship was comfortable and welcoming, and the cabins were surprisingly spacious and well designed. The bikes were excellent and made each day’s ride enjoyable, whether cruising through picturesque villages or beautiful countryside.
One feature we especially appreciated was the support van along the route. It was reassuring to know help was available if needed and made the trip accessible for riders of different abilities. The meals were another highlight—fresh, flavorful, and something we looked forward to after every ride. Between the outstanding crew, great accommodations, and incredible scenery, this was an unforgettable vacation that we would recommend without hesitation.

Great scenery, fascinating history
Medieval Heritage of Transylvania
The good:
Most of this tour was like stepping into a beautiful alternate reality where the hustle of modern life doesn't apply. We saw loads of horse drawn wagons, shephards tending to their flocks of sheep, community wells, and very little modern "progress". The food was amazing, the housing was awesome, the local tour company was more than responsive and super helpful.
This trip doesn't have bike paths. The very beginning of the ride and a good bit of the last day is on busy roads. The rest of the tour is on extremely rural roads.
Many places the water wasn't drinkable. Not a huge problem, but you do have to plan ahead (buy water). Unlike other European bike trips we've taken there weren't coffee shops/restaurants/gas stations for breaks.
We loved talking to the guest house owners and hearing their view on the history and culture of Transylvania.

Marvellous route
Cycling Spain's Ebro River
A great tour, very scenic, great hospitality.
We were at wonderful places, we'd never found ourselves. It felt safe all the eay with few cars - only exception was the short route to Laguardia. Only twice we had to pull the bikes (not e-) uphill.

Getting acquainted with the Trossachs
Loch Lomond to Edinburgh: Lakes & Valleys of Scotland
A very authentic taste of Loch Lomand and beyond. The accommodations were varied but all were good. The distances were doable and the scenery was always changing. Some of the trail signs were confusing or obscured but with technology we always got to our destination. The bikes suited our needs and were well maintained. Fortunately we did not need the tools provided often but came in handy for minor adjustments. How great to be in Scotland during their FIFA win!

Most Scenic Least Effort Bike Tour Ever!

Post college graduation trip
Innsbruck to Salzburg: Through the Alps Along River Cycle Trails
This was a fantastic trip for two families - one had prior bike trip experience and one was new to the bike tour world. We flew into Munich and spent a day exploring prior to training to Innsbruck. We were super fortunate with the weather as it had snowed in Innsbruck the week prior but we had a full week of sun with only a few showers on the rest day in Zell am See. Picking up the bikes in Innsbruck was easy - Chris at Crazybikez made sure that everyone had a good fit and provided us with the repair kit. The bikes are touring bikes - comfortable, but nothing speedy. I wouldn't want to try and climb hills for extended periods with them. Aside from a single flat on the last day, they performed admirably. When you check in at the hotel, the group was usually listed as BestSeller Reiser instead of the family name. All the hotels were enjoyable with easy bike storage, yummy breakfast, and the luggage transfer went off without incident. At each hotel, expect to pay a per person tourism tax - usually about 4 euro per person. I strongly encourage using the provided GPS routes as opposed to the guidebook for active routing, but the book does provide some information for interesting side trips. Chris told us to visit the town of Hall the first day and the Swarovski Crystal Museum. Take the time to ride up to Mayrhofen on day 2 prior to the transfer from Zell am Ziller to Krimml. The gorges and cave between Zell am See and Lofer were fun to explore. Make sure to take advantage of the various SummerCards that the hotels will provide. In Krimml it gets you into the waterfalls, in Zell am See - the boat tour, gondola to the top of the ski area, and the beach park, in Lofer - the gondola. The extra day in Zell am See is well worth it. We also spent an extra day at the end to explore Salzburg before taking the train back to Munich. We never had to reach out to the local support but the guidebook packets were received at the hotel in Innsbruck provided us with contact information if needed. I would definitely use biketours.com again

A wonderful experience.
Cycling and Cooking in Tuscany
Amazing chief who not only made us delicious meals but also taught us how to make many tasty dishes. He was so friendly and involved and eager to share his love of Italian cooking.
The biking guide and support were always concerned for our comfort with our route and making sure we had water and snacks. We cancelled riding one day due to serious rain so they drove us to the beautiful cities we would have cycled to and we were able to explore.
Our accommodations were lovely and my room had a beautiful view over the valley.
There was a swimming pool but temperatures were just a little too cool to enjoy the pool. The house/kitchen staff were helpful and kind. Breakfasts were delicious with a variety of foods to choose from.

First Rate Bicycle Tour
Castles and Wines of Portugal
The tour company provided excellent service on our guided, group tour in early November. My wife and I were the only two people on the tour, but the tour went ahead with a van and at least two guides every day. Our tour was at the end of the dry season and the landscape was parched. We encountered some rain but most of the time the weather was excellent for cycling. The tour company was very good at accommodating customers bringing their own bike. The company's ebikes also were very good bikes for the terrain. I highly recommend this tour.

Always a fan of Croatia for biking!
National Parks of Dalmatia by Bike/E-bike and Boat
The Boat & Biking along the Dalmatia coast and islands was wonderful. As it was October, the weather was perfect, sunny, warm but not hot with chilly mornings but we warmed up quickly once on the bikes. No rain, lucky us. The views are dramatic and various towns the boat stopped at charming. This was our second boat and bike trip in Croatia. Can't say enough goods things about the country except "Go and experience it!" Our boat was comfortable, food delicious, crew very pleasant and helpful, e-bikes worked well and last but not least the two guides were absolutely fabulous. A great trip.

The Best Way to Experience the Countryside Between Innsbruck and Vienna
Innsbruck to Salzburg: Through the Alps Along River Cycle Trails
This was a very well organized and well thought out way to experience the beautiful countryside between Innsbruck and Vienna. Chris at the bicycle rental shop in Innsbruck was very helpful and provided us with handlebar mounts for our phones to easily view GPS tracks, bicycle repair tools (including tire levers, spare inner tube, patch kit, hand pump, and CO2 inflator) and lock and pannier bags. Bicycles have been well maintained and were well suited for this tour. My wife used an e-bike whereas I used a 24 speed hybrid bicycle with a triple crankset giving me a wide range of gearing just in case it got hilly. Accommodations were good, mostly lodging facilities intended for winter skiing, with very good European breakfasts and excellent Austrian coffee. Our luggage was always available at the hotel when we arrived. I am 70 years old and have toured by bicycle throughout the United Staes since my teenage years but I found this tour far more enjoyable since the route we took was mostly on paved or crushed stone bicycle paths without auto traffic to deal with (in the United States I have bicycled through many beautiful national and state parks but have always had to deal with automobile traffic making it more difficult to enjoy the natural beauty). On this tour there are a few miles (but only a few miles) where we did need to ride with auto traffic in the cities. There are also some backroads and roads through neighborhoods that have very little auto traffic. There were a few very minor hiccups with the GPS tracks and the bicycle path signage. Although we found the GPS tracks very useful, on very rare occasion there were times that the GPS tracks did not perfectly match with the bicycle path signage which led to a little confusion but this was easily resolved after checking Google Maps. It was great that a shuttle was provided from Zell am Ziller to Krimml since the highway between these two towns is fairly steep and narrow with lots of auto traffic. The shuttle also got us to Krimml in time for us to hike up to the Krimml waterfalls. It was also nice that the shuttle took us to a higher elevation which resulted in a down hill coast on our bicycles the next morning. We were fortunate to have a layover day in Zell am See since it was the only day to rain on this tour. Although we are comfortable riding in the rain it is something we like to avoid which can be challenging to do in Austria. There were also a couple of minor hiccups with our lodging but these were quickly resolved by a phone call to Helmut Wagner, the bicycle tour operator. When we arrived at the hotel in Zell am See there was no one at the reception desk and we later found out we needed to go to the hotel next door to check in. When we arrived in at the hotel in Salzburg we were told by the reception personnel that we would need to pay for our room but again a phone call to Helmut Wagner quickly resolved this issue. I mention these minor inconveniences so one is prepared to be flexible and not to panic since these issues are easily resolved. Overall, the experience was most enjoyable and the scenery amazing. I strongly recommend this tour for anyone that enjoys bicycle touring through very scenic mountain valleys and historic towns. I am thankful that biketours.com has vetted this tour and made it easy and affordable to experience. stunning...but get an e-bike unless you are in great shape.
National Parks of Dalmatia by Bike/E-bike and Boat
Cool towns, friendly people, food is more on seafood side other ships can have more variety apparently. I've done this route - or variations of it - a few times. Highly recommend this e-bike tour to see the "game of thrones" part of Europe. Definitely go for a swim in the Adriatic.

The self-guided bike tour (Undiscovered vineyards and villages of Istria) was amazing. Loch Lomond to Edinburgh: Lakes & Valleys of Scotland
This trip was a pilgrimage for me and it exceeded any expectation beyond! Our tour operator Nick Green was great! He rode to our lunch spot in Drymen just to check on us as we rode hybrid bikes (not e-bikes). The routes were extremely challenging but so worth the effort as the landscapes we covered on our self guided tour was spectacular!! The rides were multi-terrain so the bikes were great for the variety of terrains we covered. Our accommodations were wonderful and the people we meet in Scotland were warm, friendly & helpful. I am so glad we upgraded to king size bed rooms as after a challenging day of riding it was so nice to stretch-out and sleep! I would definably confirm check in times at each hotel as they vary. It truly was a trip of a lifetime!!
