I can’t think of a better way to experience a trip through Italy, Austria, and Slovenia. The weather was perfect for our trip and the scenery was epic. We loved traveling by e-bike and seeing and feeling the small towns and beautiful and unspoiled territory. We met some wonderful fellow bikers along the way. We do not want to travel any other way.

Wonderful experience!

I can’t think of a better way to experience a trip through Italy, Austria, and Slovenia. The weather was perfect for our trip and the scenery was epic. We did this tour in June 2016 and I neglected to write a review. Wonderful scenery, great little side trips if you want to add miles, and wonderful service and accommodations. We had a great time on our rented tandem (affectionately nicknamed "The Whale") and would do this tour again. BikeTours Direct service was excellent, and the tour company did a great job. A romantic way to spend our 25th anniversary.

· Danube Bike Path 7 Nights (Classic)
The tandem bike was reliable and fairly comfortable, the sites were awesome, directions flawless and lodging friendly, clean and lovely. We were very happy with this self-guided trip, our first bike expeirence in Europe. We did have a broken chain on the 2nd day, but my hubby made a trail repair and the company came to our hotel and replaced the chain that night. This is a great tour and I was shocked today when looking for our next one that I hadn't reviewed it. I would recommend this as a first European bike experience to any cyclist.

This tour was a magical way to see the sights and sounds of beautiful Catalonia. The bikes were of a superior quality and shifted easily - which was a good thing because there was a lot of shifting involved along the way. The accommodations were top-notch and the GPS perfectly directed us along the way. Daniel was an exceptional vendor and his positive nature and encouragement were welcome and valued. He checked-in during the tour to make sure that all was well. This trip was a dream come true and comes highly recommended!

Our week spent on bikes in Portugal was a dream come true! Every detail was taken care off. The bikes were superlative, the accommodations were great, the food and beverages were yummy, and most especially, our guide Manuel and his assistant Joana, did a magnificent job of leading our small group, and introducing us to various aspects of the region’s culture. Their upbeat personalities, joyful spirits, and skillful knowledge made us feel so welcomed, informed, and valued. The rides were fabulous and this week will live in our memories and hearts for the rest of our days. Two thumbs way, way up!!

· Best of Catalonia Cycle Touring
This was a perfect tour for us. It was challenging but not so much we felt excessively tired. The scenery was beautiful and the trails were either gravel or paved and either way the bikes were the perfect choice. The villages we passed by or stayed in were in scenic areas. There were plenty of places to stop for coffee or lunch. The hotels were exquisite and well-located. Daniel was very responsive and helped out immediately when one of our GPSs glitched. This trip was all we could have imagined and more.

· Prague to Dresden Along the Vltava & Elbe Rivers
This trip was the perfect way to explore the Czech Republic. We enjoyed the bike paths along the rivers and all the many sites along the way. We especially loved visiting Terezin, near Litomerice. It was a sad reminder of the experiences of Jews during WWII but an important part of Czech history. The short hill on the first day was a bit of a challenge but slow and steady made it possible. All the other trails were flat and easy to ride. The hotels were all interesting and located in a very walkable area to see the village or dine out. Our initial contact with the bike company in Prague, Daniel, was an eager and young new employee. He fitted us with our bikes, and gave us paperwork and some good tips. Overall it was a great ride and we'd recommend it for families or first time bike tourists.

Exploring Catalonia -up close and personal.

This was a self guided adventure on great hybrid bikes supplied by Daniel. The route was well planned and the accommodation was exceptional - Orlot being the standout. The notes about the route were very scant but we managed to research and discover some real gems - in the history sense as well information about the geography of the area. We appreciated the marked out paper maps supplied by Daniel.

As much as you want it to be
· · Danube Delights: Cycling and Cruising in the Footsteps of Royalty
This was our first experience with any kind of boat "tour" and we took it with some trepidation of it being too cushy and not offering enough activity. It proved to be the best of both.
It combined the best aspects of a boat tour (small and intimate, exploring new places each day without having to move luggage) without the aspects we associate with a boat cruise/tour (schmaltzy events in the evening, formal dress and food events).
We found fellow passengers to be fit, open to adventure and informal in the evening while able to share their previous world travels. The staff was gracious, attentive, and invisible when not needed. Dinner courses were presented as if at a high-end restaurant and special food needs tracked by them throughout the week. Alcohol prices were reasonable. The Cruise Director was knowledgeable and well prepared.
Standard and ebikes were well maintained and staging meetings helpful for passengers to know the next day's' route and highlights.
And finally, each town we in which we moored, each village and bierhouse we visited, was hospitable and accommodating. -

What an amazing journey we had through Wow scenery and mindblowing history. The whole trip was so well organised and the tour guides and operation team were always so friendly i formative and helpful. The hotels were amazing all with outstanding breakfasts and service. The daily rides were nice and varied in terain. We saw so much of real Greece and the beaches in the second half were just gems!. We had the best week and will definately be looking to ride another such tour.

· · Amsterdam – Bruges by Bike and Boat – Princesse Royal
The Magnifique II is a very comfortable boat with an excellent crew. Our bike tour guide was very attentive to everyone's needs. We were awed by the historic centers in Antwerp, Ghent and Bruges and the beauty of the countryside. The dedicated bike highways all over the Netherlands and Belgium made cycling there safe and easy.
The trip could have been improved by dividing into 2 groups as we were stronger cyclists and would have liked to go faster with fewer stops. We understand that is the plan for 2018- What was the date of your tour?

This tour is truly a collection of "gems"! Here's why we rated the tour a 5 star.
1. the level of support from the tour guide was amazing! The tour includes being transported to several different locations so that all of your time is spent on truly beautiful rides. Our guide was very patient, informative and friendly!!
2. We were on the extended version so we got to be in four countries in 8 days! we learned so much about the politics and history of the region.
3. All of the accommodations were great but a couple were outstanding! Again we learned so much about the culture and cuisine of the different countries through these experiences.
4. The routes deserve special mention. We were amazed to discover beautiful scenic rides day after day.
5. The rides were quite easy, especially for seasoned riders. This did not bother us because the overall experience was so rich.
6. We relied primarily on an app for directions. this was supported by written materials. we thought this was a great way to tour.
7. Montenegro, Albania and Bosnia Herzegovina have yet to be discovered by most tourist. They are gorgeous, safe (for the most part) and inexpensive by the standards most Westerners are used to. This is a great time to see those incredible countries!
We absolutely loved this trip. If you are considering, my advise is sign up! You will thank yourself!- What was the date of your tour?

· Lake Constance Bicycle Path
The scenary is great, the path is easy and the signals are very clear, the villages are beautiful and with a lot of options for fun (playgrounds, pools, baths on the lake...) . People are very helpful. We decided to spend two days in Uberlingen and it is a very beautiful village with fantastic therms and gardens. It is very easy to shorten the initial route taking a train or a boat (we did it one day that it rained a lot!). I recommend this route for families with small children (7-14 years)

Muy Bueno!
· Medieval Villages of Catalonia
A great way to see and experience this area of Spain. The hotels were very nice to exceptional; especially the Hotel Los Arcs in Monells with its very gracious host/owner family and wonderful food. The maps and Garmin GPS made route finding almost flawless and the tour operators (Lucy and Daniel ) checked in with us during the week to see how things were going and if we needed anything. Don't miss seeing the Botanical Gardens midway through the trip on one of the loop rides; it is very well worth a visit. We have done over a dozen self-guided bike tours in Europe and this is one of the best organized and planned.

· Northern Spain: Cantabrian & Asturian Coasts
This may be our favorite bike trip yet! The routes were beautifully crafted for maximum scenic views, minimal traffic, and wonderful towns. The hotels were all exceptional and unique. I love that we had 2 days in 3 places, so it gave us a little more opportunity to experience those regions. The drivers for pick up and drop off were super friendly, communicative, and prompt. The weather was just a little cooler than we would have liked for our trip, but it absolutely did not hinder us from enjoying every moment.
