    Fabulous trip through wine country

My wife and I very much enjoyed our trip. Very manageable stages done with normal peddle bikes. we in our mid 50's, generally in good shape but very casual cyclists. Interesting stops & scenery the whole way, and wonderful food and wine. Good mix of remote and rural stops as well as larger towns (Beane & Cluny). The end stop (Macon) is the least interesting, I don't suggest extra time there, but you are right next to the train station for a quick exit. Overall, highly recommended!

Amazing journey between vineyard and greenways

Highly recommend for wine lovers and nature! But it’s self guided tour requiring time for foreigners to pick up the familiarity on the navigation app!. After first days’ challenge, thing gets easy and handy. The design of routes is excellent for 5 rides. We could explore different perspectives of the region of Bourgogne. I will definitely come back again !

I've been waiting many years to take this trip... definitely worth it!

The perfect way for me to experience the French wine country. Beautiful scenery, all bicycle trails and country roads with very little traffic, quaint villages, interesting places to see along the way, and the hotels and meal packages were superb.

First bike trip and we really enjoyed it! Routes were well laid out and lodgings were varied and of good quality. Tour company was very attentive to our needs and responded immediately when we encountered a problem along the way.

    Beautiful area of France!

A great way to experience the beauty of Burgundy. Loved cycling through the vineyards as well as along the Voire Verte. The hotels had a lot of character. The bikes were great, one ebike and one regular.

Nice tour for wine & cycling

We had a lovely time visiting vineyards and cycling through Burgundy. The trip was suitable for people who were not in tip-top shape and the terrain was mostly flat (except for one day where we were staying in Chassey-le-camp at the top of a very large hill -- totally unnecessary given that the route then cycled back to the same place we went the day before). If you are visiting a winery, you should call ahead and let them know when you will arrive. Many places close around lunch time. There are lots of picnic benches to stop along the way, especially near Dracy-le-fort, so I would recommend stopping at a grocery store, bakery, etc. in the morning (not to mention a winery!) and creating your own picnic for lunch. You might want to bring your own plates, cutlery, and cups.

    Biking in Burgundy--fabulous!

This was a perfect way to spend a birthday with 5 close friends! The bike routes wound through vineyards in the midst of the crush, or on paved paths through forests and alongside canals.

    Fantastic way to experience Burgundy

We were 6 friends on a self guided tour of the Burgundy Wine Trails. Having done many cycle tours in different European countries, I can say this one falls in the top of our list. The trails wind through vineyards and charming villages and navigation was very easy using the app. We LOVED Beaune and Dijon had a charm of it's own. The wines were fantastic and overall epicurean experience unparalleled. The only downside to this trip (and reason I am not giving it 5 stars) was two of the five hotels we stayed in were substandard. The Athanor in Beaune has a great location and warm welcoming lobby, but the rooms were dirty, there were no mattress pads on the beds, peeling paint in the bathroom etc. The Heloise in Cluny had a beautiful restaurant, but the rooms, while spacious, were extremely old and tired with ragged bedding and dark dingy halls.

We're glad to hear this Burgundy trail ranks high on your list of tours! We'll work with the tour operator regarding the substandard hotels to ensure quality for future clients. Thank you very much for your feedback and we hope to help you and your group in the future plan another dreamy vacation.

    FORMIDABLE!!!

Perfect way to enjoy the Burgundy Region. Experienced a variety of scenery, along a canal, through Vineyards and quaint, charming little villages. Being on self-guided gave us more flexibility to explore and take advantage of the wonderful food and wines which were always so well presented, matched and served by friendly staff. Being on La Voie Verte was also a plus, well marked and away from traffic. A Memorable experience - definitely recommend this tour. Thank you Biketours!!

    Surpassed our expectations

If you enjoy gourmet meals, wine, fresh air and exercise, you will love this tour. Perfect combination of smaller bed and breakfast and larger hotels. We opted for the supper meals included and we were so pleased with the restaurants chosen. Every meal will stay in my memory forever. We enjoyed less Kms per day ,which allowed us enough time for exploring, afternoon stops in cafe's for wine and salad with chèvre chaud! The scenery was beautiful and the biking was mostly easy on flat paved services. The tour operator was also very helpful when we had a issue with a squeaking bike wheel and replaced the bike for us promptly . We loved this tour and would highly recommend.
