Good bikes, lucky it was cool weather for most of the trip, charming hotels . We had some small problems following the maps, the day into Koblenz was boring along a highway.

· Baltic Capitals: Historic Cities of Vilnius, Riga and Tallinn
We usually travel independently but chose a guided tour this time to learn more about an area of the world we were unfamiliar with. Our guide, Romas, was very knowledgeable and the international group (from 8 different countries) was enjoyable to travel with. The trip is a good mix of city, countryside and seaside resort areas. Most of the cycling was scenic but we would have preferred more bicycle paths and less on roads with traffic. The biggest disappointment was the vehicle transfers. We were expecting the long distances, but the van was crowded, the seats were uncomfortable with very little legroom, and it was very hot, with poor ventilation.

We're astounded by the beauty of Durmitor Mountain, in all its heights. We did this tour by bike, and we've done it by car before, but there's no comparison. On a bike, you truly connect with the surrounding nature. Our guide was a super cool local guy who spends six months a year in Žabljak, showcasing what his homeland has to offer. He says he never gets tired of it, even though he's been a million times. I now understand why.

We enjoyed the trip very much. There were more opportunities to meet other riders than on our other trips. Hotels were a higher class than what we were used to. People are extremely nice and helpful.
One thing I found can be improved: We got our package (maps, directions, etc) at the first hotel. For the most part that was fine, but if I had this information beforehand we could have started directly from Berlin rather than Orenburg. The route started there and the map showed us how to do it, but it was too late when we got this information. -
