· Swiss Lakes by E-bike: Lake Geneva to Lake Lucerne
This was the perfect way to see Switzerland. The countryside is scenic , the lakes and rivers are pristine and the cities are beautiful. We added an additional “rest day” in Spiez as there is so much we wanted to do in the area and I’m so glad we did. It allowed us to go paragliding, do some great hikes and get to see more of this amazing area.

Mainly a tour of the countryside of northeastern Germany. The boat was built about 100 years ago. It is evident that the boat has been totally remodeled. The cabins are very large with lots of open space. The bathroom was about the same size as on other boats. The food was well above average for bike tours I have taken in the past. The bikes used appeared to be new for the current season but were a bit on the heavy side. The bike route part of the trip contained more sections with pebble or uneven stone pavement surfaces than expected.

Fantastic experience. Great scenery with great back paths throughout the trip. Every day was unique enough that you felt it was a new experience. All our hotels were fine. A little noisy in IMST from road traffic. A great view from our Hotel room in St. Valentin. Great location in Riva del Garda. Each breakfast provided by the hotels were outstanding (sliced meat, cheese, eggs, etc.). Assistance from Stefano when required was readily available. We had not issues with bikes (better than mine).

The trip was very well organized. The gps routes were spot on. Lots of turns in a few areas but that’s a small price to pay to stay off main roads.
Paul (our local tour representative) was excellent. His pickup, drop off and bike setup and sizing were efficient and timely. His instructions, recommendations and advice were indispensable. And a fun guy!
So a great ride, seeing small towns and countryside at a relaxing pace. The hotels were all wonderful with very good breakfasts. Our only regret was not having opted for an extra night in Óbidos and Sintra. But we didn’t know that until we were already in the towns.- What was the date of your tour?

Fascinating Tour in Northern Germany

This was a fascinating overview of eastern Germany, with the addition of a couple days in Poland, where we learned so much about the GDR era. The Merlijn is a beautiful ship, and the crew catered to all of our needs. The guide was an upbeat, knowledgeable Dutch woman who kept us laughing. The bicycles were perfect for the job. And the meals were heavenly!
