★★★★★ John Whitworth June 6, 2023Danube Bike Path 8 Nights (Upscale Lodging)
· Danube Bike Path 8 Nights (Upscale Lodging)
We had a fantastic week biking and exploring the towns and cities along the Danube in Austria. All of the accommodation and dinners that were booked for us by BikeTours.com were fantastic and certainly lived up to the "upscale lodging" description. They also did a fantastic job moving our luggage between our hotel making that process seamless. Would more than recommend this trip to anyone, also early June turned out to be a fantastic time to do this trip as we had perfect weather and beautiful spring flowers everywhere.

Ireland’s West Cork on Tranquil Lanes Following the Coast
Beautiful views every day! If we had any questions or problems, our host was always just a phone call away. We were very well cared for! I loved having the evening meals also included at the hotel where we stayed. After a long day of biking it was nice to be able just relax without having to go out in search of a Pub or restaurant for dinner.

· · Amsterdam – Bruges by Bike and Boat – Magnifique II (and reverse)
Great way to see Belgium and The Netherlands! Such beautiful scenery along the bike routes. Riding was mainly on a path. Tour guides were wonderful ensuring everyone’s safety and giving us history of the area along the route.

· Umbria’s Green Valleys From the Pilgrimage Town of Assisi
Self guided tour with a lot of useful information about places to investigate. Clear route instructions and maps. One bike had a problem with the gears but was quickly sorted by the agents, who were very attentive. A good selection of hotels, and BikeTours was able to negotiate a different hotel for our last night, which was helpful (our request to change not due to the quality of the hotel originally offered, but for some personal practical reasons)

★★★★★ Julane July 28, 2019Holland is better by bike!
· Best of Holland North: Dutch Villages, Landscapes & the Keukenhof
We combined this tour with the Best of Holland South tour (Canals, Windmills, and Historic Towns), starting in Utrecht and ending in Amersfoort, The owners of Tulip Cycling, Peter Vos and Liesbeth van Vulpen, did a fabulous job arranging charming and centrally located accommodations and providing excellent bikes with spot-on GPS routing. These two tours offered everything (and more) that you expect to see in Holland: windmills, tulips, quaint towns, history, art, architecture. We recommend doing these tours in April when tulip, daffodil and hyacinth fields are at their peak and the Keukenhof is open.

★★★★★ Julane January 1, 2019Scenic Adventures!
· Tauern Bike Path (Salzburg-Salzburg)
This tour was one of our all-time favorites for its scenic beauty, unique adventures (salt mine, falconry demonstration, ice cave), charming hotels and quaint small towns. We spent two extra nights in Salzburg before the start of the tour to take advantage of all that the city offered as well as to test our bikes on two separate loop rides. At the end of this tour we did another week-long tour (Salzburg to Vienna, Lakes Option) to see a different but equally beautiful region of Austria.

· Salzburg to Vienna, Lakes Option
We found the scenery on this tour stunning (especially on Lake Traunsee) and appreciated the variety of landscapes (forests, rivers, lakes, mountains, farmland) and terrain (flat to rolling hills). The hotels/inns were very comfortable and most within walking distance of interesting sites in the cities/towns. We combined this tour with another (Tauern Bike Path: Salzburg to Salzburg) which gave us an opportunity to experience a different but equally beautiful region of Austria.

★★★★★ Julane June 26, 20185 Stars!
· Greece: The Peloponnese Peninsula
5 Stars! We highly recommend Greece: The Peloponnese Peninsula for its incredibly beautiful and spectacular landscapes, ancient history, significant archeological sites, and charming hotels in charming towns. Every Greek we met was friendly and helpful; the food was fresh and tasty; the culture was interesting. We were fortunate to be on this tour during Easter week and were able to observe several traditional practices including a religious procession and a community concert. The services offered by the local tour company, Arcas Travel, were top-notch: GPS routes along the coast, up and down mountains, through olive and citrus groves; well-maintained bikes; transfers to the start and finish of the tour; assistance a phone call away. It was a perfect cycling holiday!

From stunning scenery to quiet roads and a variety of climbing challenges, from lovely B&B’s and gracious hosts/hostesses to charming villages, from dependable bikes to near-perfect cue sheets and maps, Seamus Gallagher, owner of Ireland by Bike, has planned an adventure we will remember for years to come.

★★★★★ Julane Anderson September 29, 2023One of our favorite bike tours!
· Lake Constance Classic (11-nights)
We've been on many bike tours in Europe and this tour has it all: excellent, centrally located hotels; beautiful scenic routes; variety of activities and experiences included in the price (gondola cable car ride, three museums, cog railway trip, boat trip, bus tickets provided by the hotels); and reliable bikes--we used "acoustic" rather than electric bikes and only had to walk two short hills. The tour company has gone above and beyond to make this tour a memorable and interesting one.
A cyclist doing a self guided tour for the first time should be confident about riding with (rare) city traffic and navigation; we were glad that we had downloaded the GPX tracks before we left the States.- What was the date of your tour?

· UNESCO Sites of Albania
An excellent introduction to the beauty and charms of Albania. Our guide, Arjan, and driver, Enes, went above and beyond to keep our group of 17 cyclists safe and comfortable. Family-style meals were delicious with a variety of foods chosen for us.
I recommend arriving in Tirana one to two days before the start of the tour to experience the offerings of the capital and to learn about the country's history with communism. I also recommend that cyclists be familiar with riding with traffic and riding on different road surfaces. My husband and I were glad to have rented e-bikes as the promised climbs were challenging!- What was the date of your tour?

· Loch Lomond to Edinburgh: Lakes & Valleys of Scotland
Scotland has it all: beautiful scenery, warm and helpful people, dedicated bike routes. The tour operator booked us into lovely hotels/B&Bs that were conveniently located, and we were more than satisfied with the hearty breakfasts. Upon the recommendation of the tour operator, we booked dinner ahead of our trip at each accommodation, a useful suggestion as there were occasionally limited dining opportunities. Yes, it rained some, but the sun also shone brightly. We were wise to rent e-bikes as the route was occasionally quite hilly. My only suggestion to the tour operator is to equip the bikes with front and rear fenders to keep rain gear clean and also front and rear lights to improve safety when riding in traffic during rainy periods. We secured tickets to a performance at the Pitlochry Festival Theatre, a short walk from our hotel, adding to our enjoyment of the town.

· Danube Bike Path 7 Nights (Classic)
A group of 8 of us did this self-guided tour from Passau to Vienna. The scenery was fantastic, and we were lucky to have great weather on all but the last day. Working with BikeTours was great. They were very responsive to our questions. Checking in and out of hotels, and dealing with the rented bikes were seamless. The bikes were sturdy, and those who rented electric bikes really enjoyed them. The hotels were beautiful, and the breakfasts were wonderful. Unfortunately, we were rained out the last day and couldn't ride into Vienna. But Biketours was willing to transport our two personal tandems to Vienna. The ride itself was pretty flat. There were a few steep climbs in and out of the towns or up to one hotel. We were given 3 manuals of instructions. One of them was rather confusing as it incorporated all possible hotels and destinations, with our specific ride embedded in there. Overall, I loved the ride and would highly recommend BikeTours.

★★★★★ Julia W. September 16, 2024A beautiful ride!
· Lake Constance Bicycle Path
This was my 4th bike tour with BikeTours. This was the best in terms of beautiful scenery and ease of riding. We were a group of 8 seniors, most on e-bikes. There were a few stretches of hills, but they were short and manageable with e-bikes. From past experience, we expected to get lost a few times, or miss the bike signs, but that was just part of the experience. The hotels and breakfasts were excellent. Working with Biketours was seamless, as usual. Luggage transport was flawless. We broke up the long ride from Uberlingen to Lindau, and stayed a night in Friedrichshafen. There, we got to see the Zeppelin Museum. We also stayed an extra night in Lindau, a beautiful town, which gave us time to visit Bergenz and take the tram for a mountaintop view of Lake Konstanz.

· Split to Dubrovnik: The Islands and Coastline of Croatia
This was a wonderful way to explore the Dalmatian Islands of Croatia. We loved the experience so much so that we are looking to plan the next one soon! Our bike contractor was just wonderful with our fittings and a quick visit to make some adjustments before we left the City of Split. Fantastic team!

· · Pearls of Dalmatia by Bike and Boat, Romantica
What a way to meet Croatia. Fantastic bikes, boat, leaders and group. I had just a fantastic week.... from the first tour (a walk around Split) so interesting. Great rides - some long and some shorter - all fun and interesting.... beautiful views. Lucky to meet a lovely group of riders, all keen and on time. The leaders kept us across everything but never overwhelmed us with info.
Only issue - i found it difficult to locate the boat.... there was no clip board outside on the street and it took 4-5 phone calls with the contact person to finally locate the boat. Others told me they had the same experience. The food was also very good.- What was the date of your tour?
