Amsterdam – Bruges by Bike and Boat – Fluvius (and reverse)
The biking staff we very helpful and knowledgeable. King and welcoming, understanding of all levels and the territory. The daily rides by digital “ride with gps” was pretty much flawless, and the app staff very fast and helpful when a problem arose.
The boat staff very warm and helpful. The cleaning staff timely and great for cabin cleaning. The chef; warm, funny and talented. Food delicious.

Venice to Mantova by Bike and Boat (and reverse)
We were very happily rewarded with our choice of boat , direction, and timing for this bike & barge trip across Italy. This was our 4th bike and boat trip and the best! Each of the crew from tour leaders to cooks and boat captain and technician—each fantastic—warm, helpful, supportive, and with good humor. The mix of riders—kismet and wonderful. While we did encounter a few rainy days spirits stayed high and gregarious. And it was far better fir us than extreme hot temperatures of earlier in the year options. The food deserves an award for creativity and top notch flavour, presentation, creativity, and variety. The boat accommodation was very comfortable and in excellent condition. Common space was ample and comfortable. Our biking leaders were fantastic pros—always supportive, knowledgable, and perfect in their guidance of riders. Stefania and Francesco—totally delightful.

A different view of Italy!
Venice to Mantova by Bike and Boat (and reverse)
We took this adventure Mantova to Venice and we are glad we did. Mantova is lovely and has a very long bike trail that comes from much farther to the North and West. Our biking around the lakes and along the Po and Adige rivers basins was very pleasant and comfortable on dedicated bike trails with very little elevation gain, mostly on bridges or overpasses for short distances. This is our kind of trip, nature, no stress, stops in interesting places. The guides were fantastic: thanks Francesco and Stefanya! The boat was very well cared for and comfortable and the dinners were rave worthy. The only thing I'd change--skip the rain which we had for 3 of our bike days.

Beautiful way to see the Netherlands and Belgium.
Amsterdam – Bruges by Bike and Boat – Magnifique II (and reverse)
This is a great way to see the Netherlands and Belgium - small villages, beautiful landscapes, and an escape from the great crowds of tourists in the large cities. I especially appreciated the guides and the crew of the Magnifique II. All of them were great hosts. I felt we were on a friend's private yacht. The other guests were all very interesting and enjoyable companions on the trip. Being with a small group, who were all active and energetic people, meant we didn't have to wait for people before beginning our tours. The larger cruise ships tend to attract a more sedentary group, which means very slow movement and long waits before getting started. The biking part of made this trip outstanding as did the crew and our fellow travelers.

Interesting and fun bike ride!
Tuscany and Umbria: Cycling in the Heart of Italy
The trip was well organized. Great communication with Bike Tours during the planning, and the local bike company was exceptional. We used e-bikes, which made the trip very enjoyable.
There was some road traffic getting in/out of cities, but within a mile we were on country roads or trails. The bikes were great, with plenty of range to use additional assist for the long uphills. The variety of lodgings was interesting (old and modern), and the GPS for the self-guided tour worked perfectly. Highly recommend!- What was the date of your tour?

A great week of biking & enjoying champagne!
Champagne Getaway: Charming Villages & Regional Wine Cellars
We have done several bike tours in Europe, with varying experiences. This was among our favourite trips, and we recommend this for anyone interested in cycling, chmpagne or visiting France!
First, the not so great part of the review: it is a challenging route! We did not use electric bikes, and that made it feel like every hill was a hard won accomplishment.
Also, having a specific map earlier in the planning process would have helped to make tasting reservations at wineries since many of them require advance bookings.
The things we loved about this:
- bags were always on time when we arrived
- accommodations where great with extremely helpful staff (although it helps at the Epernay chambre d’hotes if you speak French as the hosts do not speak English - but are super friendly)
- we did the dinner package & while we would have preferred choosing off the regular menu most nights, all but one place was a fabulous recommendation of where to dine each night (the Brasserie la Banque in Epernay was the place we didn’t enjoy at all)
- bike drop off in Reims was smooth - and the operator was there early to give us our initial briefingI guess my one idea for improvement was to offer additional bookings of champagne house tours/tastings/visits as it is not easy to research ahead of time. Early morning or late afternoon would allow for easier planning and there are options for both almost every day. I certainly would pay for that. At the very least, a list of some places that are friendly to tours/visits would be helpful if we need to plan our own.
But overall, it was a lovely, relaxing, and champagne filled experience - exactly what we wanted when booking this trip!

Danube from Linz to Vienna with some Extra
Danube Family Tour 7 Nights
As a family of four (kids aged 10 and 11) we took six days to cover the 230 kilometers needed to pedal from Linz to Vienna. It was a fantastic way to discover beautiful country along one of the most picturesque stretches of European riverfront. 99.9% of the way is paved, and 80% is on dedicated bike paths (the remainder is biking on quiet country roads). With one rest day in the middle, the days represented between 35 and 55 kilometers of biking. Considering our younger one, our daughter, doesn't have the big leg muscles, our average speed was 14 km/h. We would set off between 9 and 10 am, and reach our accommodations in the early afternoon. The 55 kilometer day was a bit hard towards the end, but still very feasible. All hotels were very clean, quiet, with friendly staff and with delicious breakfast spreads included. We would highly recommend this trip, especially if you tag on a few days for culture in Vienna, at the end, as we did. It gave our kids and us the opportunity to have an active family trip in which we all felt a sense of accomplishment. And you don't have to do more than bring your suitcase up to your room and back down! The rest is taken care of. We are extremely happy with this trip. Thanks to BikeTours, and their Austrian associates (Rad Reiss Freunde) for making it all happen at a reasonable price and without a single hiccup! We could not have planned it better ourselves.

Danube Bike Path 8 Nights (Upscale Lodging)
This was our first trip using Biketours.com. We were so impressed. The planning was easy and the company provided many maps and additional information to help navigate each area. The bikes were in great shape, well-suited to the type of riding we were doing along the Danube River. They were comfortable to ride and the addition of saddle and handle bar bags gave us enough room to carry extra clothes/rain gear and lunches/water. The logistics worked smoothly--our luggage arrived on time and usually before we reached each of our hotels each night. We loved this trip so much, we'll be looking into other trips Biketours.com offers. Loved everything about this adventure!

Beautiful Lake Constance and Switzerland
Lake Constance Classic (11-nights)
Riding through three countries self guided was a wonderful experience. My highlight was Gais to St Gallen as I had always wanted to wander along narrow lanes through the Swiss countryside on a beautiful afternoon. But close second was the ride to Rhine Falls. But every day was great, even the torrential rain into Gailingen did not deter us. We got lost many times because the signage is weak in some places but had the overall plan including hotels in Sygic Travel and most problems were resolved with a quick check of the maps on the tablet.
