We enjoyed every minute on and off the boat! Great covering of sites on the Danube! The meals was excellent, our compliments to the chef! The staff on board was very friendly and efficient, especially in the rooms and in the dining room! The Swiss Crown totally fulfilled our needs except for the insufficient wifi!
The explanation of routes could improve, as well as the provided app, that kept disappearing. The maps in the book was not well displayed, which made it difficult to follow while cycling along. I suggest a bigger sized booklet or a daily map!- What was the date of your tour?

We had an amazing trip on the Swiss Crown. The food was above and beyond! All the staff were friendly, knowledgeable and very helpful. The bikes were in great shape and checked daily. Everything was clean and organized. The wifi was unreliable and app provided for navigation didn’t always work for us. I was happy to have preloaded the routes on my Naviki app. We had purchased an e-sim which worked well. Having said that we would do it again, and probably will book a different trip with this company. They were awesome

This was my first experience with a bike and barge trip. The tour operator did a first class job. The crew were very professional. The food was delicious. Our guides were very knowledgeable about the history of the places we visited. They kept us safe in areas where the terrain was challenging or where there was a bit of traffic. The cycling was as described as level 1. The experiences along the way were educational and highlighted the Italian culture. Overall a wonderful experience!

Fabulous and exceeded expectations

From the moment we arrived on board I felt welcomed. The entire staff went out of their way to answer questions, offer help and with a smile. The captain took his job very serious, but also had a sense of humor. Our director, Leslie, kept us laughing as he presented valuable information on the boat, bike routes, city tours, etc. The actives on board like 70 & 80's music night and karaoke night were so much fun. I have not danced and laughed so much in years. I will be going again and have already told many friends they need to book this trip!

Trip was outstanding!

Every day we were treated to a delicious menu from Breakfast to Dinner and dessert. High Tea every afternoon with treats like Black Forest Cake and Cheesecake after spending a day exploring ancient towns and castles by bike. Our cruise director Reinhold saved the day, and gave us a daily run down on options for tours in larger cities. Staff overall was wonderful and attentive. Bike pathways are lovely along the river, highly recommend this trip!. Plus, the Swiss Crown is in great shape, very comfortable.

Always wanted to do this type of trip but can never find anyone to do it with. Went with a friend and we are so impressed with the trip we are planning another one in 2026. I have traveled all over the world and this ranks up there as one of my favorite.

Wonderful adventure. Strongly consider e-bike option due to strong headwinds switching between north and south. This is a new trip and we were on the maiden voyage, so the guides were becoming familiar with the routes available. Great food and ambiance.

we thoroughly enjoyed this trip, from the greeting on the first day to the tearful goodbyes on the last. We can’t say enough about the crew on the Magnifique IV, they were so busy yet did a great job!! Our tour guides for the bikes were a blast, made the kilometers melt away. We would do again in a heartbeat!!

This slow way of travelling is perfect for savouring Provence on all levels…
Captain Willy and crew were extremely friendly, attentive and helpful. Our bike tour guide Michela was very safety conscious as well as informative and inclusive, all done with her Italian humour! The schedule was packed but never rushed. It helped that our group was cohesive and respectful of each other…and punctual! The food was excellent and our bow berth beyond expectations.

· · Danube Delights: Cycling and Cruising in the Footsteps of Royalty
Great trip. These people understand good service...by everyone, in all areas, and it's pitched at just the right level. Combine that with great food at every sitting, with plenty of choice, and that fuels you for a ride that is one that everyone should do at some point. The river and its many villages is beautiful and the cycleways are in perfect condition. Our group ranged from 'haven't ridden in 30 years' (an e-bikes) to 'regular road cyclist' (on regular touring bikes) and the ride was enjoyed by all...we'll be back for more. Highly recommended.

An amazing trip, blessed with great weather, the trip exceeded our expectations. The bikes were really good, the guides and crew were amazing, always helpful, friendly and knowledgeable. The sightseeing was outstanding. The boat (Magnifique IV) was so nice and the food was tremendous.

Mainly a tour of the countryside of northeastern Germany. The boat was built about 100 years ago. It is evident that the boat has been totally remodeled. The cabins are very large with lots of open space. The bathroom was about the same size as on other boats. The food was well above average for bike tours I have taken in the past. The bikes used appeared to be new for the current season but were a bit on the heavy side. The bike route part of the trip contained more sections with pebble or uneven stone pavement surfaces than expected.

Fascinating Tour in Northern Germany
· · Northern German Odyssey: Bike, Barge and Cruise
This was a fascinating overview of eastern Germany, with the addition of a couple days in Poland, where we learned so much about the GDR era. The Merlijn is a beautiful ship, and the crew catered to all of our needs. The guide was an upbeat, knowledgeable Dutch woman who kept us laughing. The bicycles were perfect for the job. And the meals were heavenly!
