Best Crew ever
Venice to Mantova by Bike and Boat (and reverse)
What a wonderful surprise this tour was! The crew were fantastic and made everyone feel welcome and they took care of any of passengers’ needs right away. The rooms, while a little small, met our needs and the shower was large enough and maintained excellent water pressure and temperature without any fluctuations. The meals exceeded everyone’s expectations with fresh ingredients delivered every day. Our chefs Alberto and Sylvia simply hit a home run with each and every meal. Our guides Sylvia (yes two Sylvias) and Marco were so much fun and you could tell that they really enjoyed leading our group. I really can’t say enough about this 7 person crew, they all worked together performing what ever tasks were required with dedication and smiles. The president and vice president of the tour company joined us for dinner one evening which affirmed their commitment to providing a great product for the passengers.
This is not a challenging bike tour so just don’t expect it to be, however we had one of the 30 mile days with some pretty strong headwinds. It should also be noted that Venice to Mantua is against the river flow so you will be climbing slightly the whole way. Some of the dirt roads need to be graded as we had to dodge numerous pot holes and there many shared roads with rude drivers but our guides did a great job keeping us safe. The ride in Mantua was by far the nicest on a dedicated bike path!- What was the date of your tour?

What an awesome trip!
Danube Delights: Biking through Four Countries
This was our first bike and barge tour and it didn't disappoint! We found that we prefer it to regular river cruising. The tour was very well organized, the bikes were always ready and in great condition. The balance of cycling vs site seeing was perfect for us. We loved it so much that we plan to return next year!

One os the best destinations to cycle!
Turkish Riviera - Cruise and Bike the Lycian Coast
I took this trip a year ago in the end of October and it was a perfect match of the weather and scenery. The cycling route is brilliantly planned, very safe and full of breathtaking nature, this mix gives you a feeling of being reunited with nature.

Foi maravilhoso visitat quatro países que não conhecíamos. Fizemos uma viagem em família e a equipe do Princesa Katharina manteve o clima, nos alocando com outra família - extremamente simpática e com a qual tivemos excelentes momentos - para além das refeições, encontramo-nos em alguns dos passeios, de tanto que nos demos bem. Todos no navio foram receptivos, com destaque aos funcionários - sobretudo a guia Michaela, também brasileira e extremamente prestativa. Visitamos lugares para os quais jamais iríamos se não tivéssemos esse roteiro, paisagens maravilhosas no interior de países que, apesar de tão próximos, têm características bastante marcantes. Adoramos, também, conhecer algumas capitais: isso tornou a viagem mais animada. Sem dúvida, os pontos fortes desse tipo de passeio foram a facilidade de transporte: afinal, não precisávamos nos deslocar a todo momento com as bagagens, pois nosso “hotel” todo se deslocava. Isso evitava cansaço e desgaste, permitindo que a energia fosse poupada para passeios de bicicleta: vias muito bem sinalizadas, mapas bons, guias sempre dispostos e lindas perspectivas do Danúbio. Não posso deixar de comentar sobre os deliciosos pratos que comemos, além das opções diversas e frescas do café da manhã/almoço. Amamos os passeios a que fomos, além de alguns pratos típicos que o próprio navio ofertou (como o Snitzel. Obrigado por essas férias incríveis, Princesa Katharina!

Enjoyed the trip. We enjoyed the scenery. We enjoyed the barge. The floors of the barge are stunning. All the personnel were wonderful and I appreciated there pitch-in attitude. My only suggestion in regarding the biking, is that because E bikes now allow folks who are not bikers on these trips, that the groups always be divided into two. That first day when we had such a large group going through busy Ghent was uncomfortable. Those at the front asked to wait at corners, waited over 15 minutes isolated and it was not clear if we were going to have the Support to find the boat. I suggest also a discussion about not letting big gaps form within the same group, so those being supportive at the corners are not waiting. ( I’m not suggesting that they ride right behind someone, just not perhaps multiple hundred yard gaps. Really loved the tour.

Danube Bike and Boat: Passau-Budapest-Passau – MS SE-Manon
Overall, it was a great experience. Unfortunately, there was one large group of passengers that took over the lounge and dining room each night. Their behavior was loud and obnoxious. It would have been nice if someone if someone in authority could have spoken to them about the disruptions they created for others.
Our waiter, Emrah, was amazing. He was most attentive.
I was disappointed with the cost of the drink package. It was more expensive than I expected.
The entire crew worked very hard to ensure we all had a wonderful experience.

Outstanding trip
Pearls of Dalmatia by Bike and Boat, Romantica
My wife and I took the Romantica from Dubrovnik to Split and had an excellent time! The three guides were outstanding: knowledgeable and extremely personable. We only had 12 people in our group, so there was lots of room on the boat to wander around. The city walking tours were a nice addition. The hills are a real climb, most of our group were on e-bikes but I started the trip on a peddle-bike. After 3 days I switched to an e-bike and really preferred it, would recommend e-bikes.

Bike and Barge Adventure
Amsterdam – Bruges by Bike and Boat – Magnifique II (and reverse)
A wonderful week of fresh air, exercise, amazing food, beautiful scenery, and great people.
We cycled through small towns, across farmland, and into large cities. The scenery was spectacular. Having to stop to wait for 100 cows to move from one field to another was a quirky countryside highlight. Traveling down 31 metres by elevator, then cycling through a 521 metre long tunnel under the River Scheldt, and returning to surface level on escalators was a large city highlight.
All of the crew were dedicated, cheerful, and knowledgeable. One of our guides was from Belgium (Jordy) and other from the Netherlands (Hetty) and the friendly banter between them was fun. Hetty shared stories relating to many sights and Jordy bought us local treats to taste.
The host (Vio) and hostess (Sophie) were always ready to help out and were incredibly kind. The chef (Steven) prepared amazing meals and there was always delicious food available. No losing weight, despite the physical activity. When we returned to the barge or watched it sail by as we rode, the crew smiled and waved at us, making us feel like family.
I would highly recommend this trip.

Great food, great new friends, beautiful countryside. Memet and Tom were funny, caring, and knowledgeable guides. The whole boat crew was very attentive and friendly. An amazing experience

Boat bike is the way to see Croatia, the whole experience was fantastic, comfortable accommodation on the boat, fantastic crew who couldn’t do enough for us, and excellent food.

Well, done

This trip truly exceeded our expectations. The bikes were in great shape. The staff was very knowledgeable and considerate. Our tour lead, the great Allie, was very well informed and interesting at the various stops without being a licensed guide.
Both my wife and I love the small plates, similar to tapas.Only one negative we never did get the sales up.

Amazing way to travel!

Can’t wait to go on another trip! The barge was comfortable, food tasty, guide and staff wonderful and I really enjoyed the whole itinerary. The fortified cities shaped like stars were so unique and I enjoyed sailing on the boat, enjoying a happy hour glass on the deck after a long day biking.
