Summer Excursion
Bike and Boat with Bob and Jeanette along the Danube from Passau to Budapest to Passau
Bike Tours is well thought out and executed so as travelers, we can enjoy the scenery, culture and people of the land. Germany is a great country to explore with a tour company like Bike Tours helping. Would certainly do it again with these folks.

National Parks of Dalmatia by Bike/E-bike and Boat
Guides were very good and knowledgeable. Also very concerned for our safety. Food excellent, plentiful and well presented. The bikes are old and have high mileage. We had a few issues Cabins were clean. Beds need upgrading.

We began in Avignon and ended in Avignon!
Provence’s History, Landscapes, and Luberon National Park
We came to Avignon 2 days early so that we could become acclimated to the time zone difference. The tour operator very nicely delivered our rental bikes the day after we arrived. Therefore, we had the bikes for travel in and out of Avignon before we started our sel-guided tour.\. This was great because the wonderful Hotel La Ferme was about 3 miles outside of the city.

Wonderful Trip
Danube Bike Path 8 Nights (Upscale Lodging)
We self guided down the Danube from Passau to Vienna. The experience was great. We stopped where and when we wanted to to stop and enjoyed the locals along the way. Being self guided was no problem at all, my only suggestion is to tie the hotels to the route for the for guidance. We ended up using Google maps to take us from the end of the route to the hotel in Linz and Vienna.
The Great hotels were : The Altstadt Hotel Passau, Landgastof Winter Ardagger, Hotel Zur Post Melk, Hotel Richard Lowenherz Dunstein and the Steigenberger Hotel Herrenhof Vienna. All of these hotel were phenominal. Frau Winter and the team in Adagger make feel right at home, great bar, great food and great hosts make for great stay. Elisabeth and her staff at Hotel Zur Post make you fell right at home, with a great wine tasting from the Wachau Valley, along with a great kitchen and ice cream shop out front makes this a great place to stay and enjoy their wonderful hospitality. Their uniforms are wonderful and ad to the experience! The Richard Loweherz in Durnstein is built around an abbey built in the 1400's, service was great and rooms comfortable. The restaurant was great also. The Steigenberger Hotel in Vienna puts the S in service. All of the staff went above and beyond to make sure you had what you needed for a wonderful stay. Great hotel in a large city with a small hotel feel. The real downer was the Radisson in Linz, indifferent front desk staff, dirty carpet in the first room and attached to a casino tells all about who they cater to. We were not impressed. The hotel in Tullin, The Best Western was brand new spotless and had a great manager. For business type of hotel this was a five star experience compared to Linz. The hotel is spotlessly clean and in a great part of town central to everything, it is not a traditional European old style hotel. The hotel in Schlogen we were indifferent to it is a summer resort hotel with a weird layout. It was okay but to call it upscale was stretching things a little in our opinion. It is located on the great bend and has wonderful views for the Danube and a great back deck to eat and drink on.
The Wachau valley is the heart of this tour for sheer beauty as was the ride from Schlogen to Linz and Linz to Ardagger. Those were our most enjoyable legs.
The bikes were brand new for the season for us and our two friend who had electric bikes they both had about 4000km on them. The bikes were in great repair and required no maintenance along the ride. The disk brakes were a welcome addition in the rain.
If you want to take a great bike ride down through Germany and Austria this ride is for you. Virtually flat with just a few climbs in and out of towns makes for an easy ride, we ended up gaining weight from all of the great food! Don't be put off by self guided, it's a great way to see everything you want to see.

Beautiful coastline & Great Hotels
Medieval Villages of Catalonia
We have done many trips with biketours and this will be remembered as a very special one. The hotels were very good and we even had ocean view rooms! This is extremely rare on packaged bike tours, even when upgrading hotels. The old town of Girona is fun to explore. Daniel provided a good briefing and even though this was September, his bikes were excellent and seemed brand new. This is a rarity for September tours as usually it's evident the bikes have already been used all season. As someone else mentioned, Daniel provides both a gps and an adroid with the routes on maps.me. This makes the trip so much more enjoyable for the navigators! The Brava Costa coastal area in early September was beautiful and we swam every day. The restaurants are still open, but not as busy as in August. The Arc Hotel in Monells is a little gem and very relaxing. The route itself has some dirt roads and some hills ... and even though the distances are shorter, if it's hot you'll feel like you've had a good ride, with time for a swim after each day.

An Amazing Trip in Beautiful Italy!
Bolzano to Verona: Orchards, Mountains & Timeless Culture
We loved our bike trip from Bolzano to Verona! The scenery was stunning. We were very happy with the accommodations and the breakfasts!
We got lost a few times but the GPX helped to know where we missed a turn. Also when we asked the local bikers they said follow me and got us back on track.We stopped in many of the small towns to some vino Rossa and lunch including Mezzocorona, Olios, and Borghetta!
We were amazed how easy it was to take the boat trip and train with the bikes.

A wonderful adventure - just what I needed
Danube River and Black Sea
Thank you to the BikeTours.com team for introducing me to Deyan and his team. They were superb hosts and guides sharing stories and beautiful places in their stunning Bulgaria. Deyan changed the lunch stop so I could swim in the Black Sea. The bikes were good, food superb, places we stayed were exceptional. This is a must do trip for those who want an adventure.
Also a shout out to Mariam at Biketours. They always answered my emails quickly and reassured me. I was anxious booking an American tour from England, but thankfully I had nothing to worry about. Planning and paying was easy with Mariam's guidance. Thank you.

A fun way to learn about history!
Washington DC Monuments & Memorials Bike Tour
This was such a comprehensive tour of the National Mall monuments and memorials. My husband and I had a great time riding our bikes, learning about our country's history, and taking photos of the memorable sites. Our guides were very knowledgeable DC locals. I learned new facts and fun trivia tidbits. Did you know there is a time capsule at the MLK Jr Monument? The pace of the tour is leisurely, with plenty of stops to experience the monuments and memorials, take pictures, or get refreshments.

Great adventure
Lake Constance Bicycle Path
Wonderful experience. Using ebikes made the trip very doable. The hotels were great - locations,food, service, and comfortable. Not having to worry about luggage was a great relief. The only thing that was frustrating was poor maps in a couple of the larger towns - finding the hotels can be a challenge. Usually the locals were very helpful in giving directions. Would recommend a gps system for our next trip. We were very pleased overall and biking around Lake Constance was more than we imagined.

Exceptional and Fun Bike Ride
Bruges City Bike Tour
My family and I had the absolute best time on our tour! The guide was wonderful with our young kids and was so funny. He was very knowledgeable and kind. It was a fantastic way to experience Bruges and learn about all the history of the city. I highly recommend!!

Great family bike tour
Romantic Road from Würzburg to Donauwörth
This tour was perfect for myself, husband, and 15 year old son. It was a perfect mix of scenery, history, and nature. We really enjoyed exploring each town and all the stops in between. All the hotels and breakfast each morning were great (we took the upgrade). Finally, skipping the dinner plan was a good idea because it let us explore many more options each night.

A fun and educational ride around Bucharest with Dan (the best guide)
Highlights of Bucharest Bike Tour
Firstly, Dan is an excellent guide! He is very knowledgeable, funny, knows a lot of fun facts, and also very friendly, welcoming and approachable.
The tour was great fun, but also a bit unusual compared to other bike tours I’ve done—since Bucharest doesn’t have many dedicated bike lanes and most main attractions are in the city center or Old Town, we spent a large part of the tour cycling on sidewalks. It was an interesting experience, but I would love if in the future the tour includes more rides through parks or areas with more space for cycling.The tour was interactive, and we learned a lot. On top of that, Dan shared a large number of recommendations related to Bucharest, Romania, Romanian movies, books, culture and more—I really appreciate that effort, and it’s clear that Dan truly loves his job and does it perfectly.
I recommend this tour to everyone. Even though it’s a bit unusual because most of the riding is in the city center and Old Town, that’s also part of its charm. We all thoroughly enjoyed the tour, and it’s a fantastic way to get to know Bucharest.

Memorable and recommended!
Portugal's Atlantic Coast
Fantastic trip! 197 miles on the hybrid route with e-bikes. Hotels were all top notch and included buffet breakfast was a treat. Recommend wet weather gear if going early season. Skip the gps but bring an external battery pack. Bike tour staff were fantastic and extremely helpful. If you stay in Sintra I recommend you leave as early as possible o avoid the tour buses and other traffic.

A trip we will never forget!
Danube Family Tour 7 Nights
We recently returned from this tour and can say on behalf of our entire family that we were completely WOWed by the experience. Austria is really special and we were so happy to be able to explore it by bike. I don't think we would have enjoyed it in the same way if we had simply rented a car and toured around. We did find that the average mileage each day was a bit longer than we had anticipated. With a 7- and 9- year old, it really put them t the test but they were proud of themselves each evening when we reached our destination. We will absolutely recommend this to others!

Great way to start our vacation in San Diego!
Best of San Diego E-Bike Tour
From the moment we walked up until the tour was over the staff was super friendly and gave us an engaging tour! The e-bikes were an amazing way to experience the city and our guide was super helpful and knowledgeable about the city! He gave us great recommendations for things to do and see. With two teen girls with us you never know how it’s going to go, but the both had a great time! My husband even said that it was the best tour he has ever been on and trust me when I say we have been on a lot of tours all around the IS and abroad!
