Exceeded our expectations!
Danube Bike Path 7 Nights (Classic)
With perfect weather, my wife and I had a great ride. The first three days, about 44 miles each, was tiring but the last couple of days were just about right. Be warned that about 15-20% of the bike paths/roads next to the Danube were shared with cars and no designated bike lanes. They were more like side access roads to properties on the Danube but cars don’t slow down for bikes.
The rental bikes looked like they were new and performed flawlessly. We used one regular bike and one e-bike and charging the e-bike at each night at the hotels wasn't an issue. Although the entire ride was essentially flat, there were a couple of hotels (Maria Talferl and Hotel Steigenberger in Krems) which required quite a bit of effort to get to because they were up on a hill.
Each of the selected hotels were an added special experience as they were surprisingly high quality and provided a great breakfast.
Of special note on the hotels, the Schloss castle in Aschach was quite an experience with 15 foot tall ceilings and a main residence floor which was a museum. The hotel in Maria Talferl, which is up on a hill, had spectacular views of the Danube and the valley below.
We took our first bike trip with Biketours.com last year down the Neckar river where we ate and slept on a boat each night as we rode our bikes down the river. Although this time we were on our own when it came to lunch and dinner, we preferred this type of trip over the boat as you get to sleep in a nice, comfortable hotel at night and eat where you want in each town. Looking at Yelp reviews, we were able to find great restaurants in each destination town and that really added to the experience of getting to know the local environment.
Overall, this was a memorable and very enjoyable trip and one which we would highly recommend.- What was the date of your tour?

Superb!
Bicycle Paths of the Dolomites (based in one hotel)
Absolutely perfect, could ride at your own pace all day, stopping where ever you needed. Scenery spectacular and it was also lovely cycling around the farms as well listening to the cow bells and birds. Bikes were fabulous, practically new and surprisingly comfortable! Hotel was fabulous and amazing food every day. Highly recommend.

Great way to explore hidden gems of Greece!!!
Greece: The Peloponnese Peninsula
We love feeling like locals, eating like locals, seeing the country the way locals do. Mostly away from touristy places. This was exactly what this tour was about. Combining Greek history, mythology, archaeology, authentic Greek food in authentic tavernas, experiencing warm Greek hospitality, revelling in the natural beauty of the mountains and the warmth of the sea. Amazing trip
Dolomites to Venice Along the Old Dolomites Railway Track
We had such a great time cycling from the Dolomites to Treviso. The scenery was great and the towns so cute! Directions were good though the fun approve app was very glitchy. Had to reload it several times. Luggage was always delivered to the next hotel. E bikes were amazing and made a 50 mile day easy. The only complaint is with a few of the hotels which could have been nicer or located more centrally especially in Belluno.

Biking through North Holland
Best of Holland North: Dutch Villages, Landscapes & the Keukenhof
This trip exceeded my expectations! Since most people own and ride bikes, the bike paths in cities and rural areas are extremely well marked and maintained. That, along with the flat topography, made this self-guided trip a really enjoyable experience! The training we received when the bikes were delivered to our hotel was thorough and all of our questions were answered. Since we had both a Garmin and printed maps, we managed to find our way most of the time. It was slightly difficult finding the correct route when we started out in the mornings, but people on the street were more than happy to point us in the right direction. The distance covered each day was reasonable and the only difficulty came from the wind. One day we seemed to be riding into the wind no matter which direction we turned!
The cities chosen for this tour were interesting and beautiful. The hotels were excellent, each with helpful staff present. There was always a convenient location for locking our bikes up at night either inside or near the hotel in a safe area. The breakfasts were amazing!!

Mosel bike Path
Mosel Bike Path: Dreamy Mosel Valley from Trier to Koblenz
We had no guide but 4 of us, we enjoyed doing it on our own with all hotel booked and ready for cyclists. The maps and instructions are a good idea but need to be updated we got lost and spent a lot of time trying to figure out where we were and how to stay off roads to get there. Hill in Cochem to hotel was not pleasant. Needed better instruction on getting there and to garage

Incredible trip!

Nice and easy
Loire a Velo: Orleans to the Atlantic
We did the 13 day tour. Food and accommodations were excellent. The bikes were rugged and reliable and we never ran out of charge. My one strong recommendation would be that the bikes be equipped with front shock absorbers, which would make the rougher roads more pleasant and easier on the wrists. The ride was almost exclusively in rural areas although there were a few places near the larger cities of Tours, Angers, and Nantes that would make some novice urban riders uncomfortable, but they were quickly forgotten.

Great area of Europe to visit
Baltic Capitals: Historic Cities of Vilnius, Riga and Tallinn
I loved the places we visited and the vistas. Tons of history. Swam in the Baltic and ate very fresh smoked fish. Great old town centers where hotels were located. Great guides and wonderful support team. Super bus driver.
Guided option wa better than self guided.Not so fun: Klaipeda hotel in was awful and my husband got terrible food poisoning from dinner there.
We were pre warned, but there was a LOT OF BUS time. However, unlike a previous review, it was a big coach. It had AC problems for the first three days that made it terrible, but then that got totally fixed.
Headwinds on the Saaaremaa were tough on a manual bike. Ebike riders were the majority.

Beautiful scenery - great biking
Sweden’s West Coast: Helsingborg to Gothenburg
The Katgat bike path is a wonderful way to see Sweden. The off road, paved path (about 90% of the 225 miles) is well marked. At times the GPS was off but trusting the signage we stayed on route. We used e-bikes. You have to remove the battery and recharge in hotel room at night. The hotels that were booked were all very nice - each had wonderful breakfast buffets. The location of the hotels to the Katgat trail was good. The hotels were all in convenient neighborhoods with easy walking distance to restaurants and shops.
Suggestion - if you plan to take the train Bastad to Halmstad as we did, download the app Skare when you have wifi. Trains were convenient and easy to transport bikes. Hotel Halland in Kungsbacka did not have a place outside hotel to park bike. We could either lock at train station (across the street) or carry bikes to basement (which we did). Having a room on the street side of this hotel was very noisy with car and train traffic.
We were fortunate - last 2 weeks of May - to have ideal weather. The flowers are profuse, the coastal scenery beautiful, and being self guided we could stop for photos or a break whenever we wished. The people at Biketours.com were very responsive and helpful during our planning and with during the trip. I highly recommend this trip!- What was the date of your tour?

SUCH a wonderful trip!
My husband and just finished a 7 day road bike trip through Umbria and it was fantastic! BikeTours.com hooked us up with the most wonderful local bike tour company (Ecologico Tours) and we loved it! Everything from Paolo delivering and setting our bikes up for us, the the beautiful side roads we cycled on, to the gorgeous hotels every night - all fantastic! Memorable trip well organized
Danube Bike Path 8 Nights (Upscale Lodging)
We had a great experience with Bike Tours. Positive: good communication pre trip and the night before. Good pre-trip description of the hotel locations, hotels, and what to expect from the bikes. Night prior, very good review of what to expect. We rented the premium bikes and glad we did--worked very well. On the tour, very good ideas of what to see, and the distance between towns seemed to be well thought out with the first and last legs the shortest. Hotels were great. A diversity of new and classic and all had more to them than what I expected. Often ate at the hotel restaurants which were very good.
On the negative side, not much. Directions into and out of town accurate except the last leg going into Vienna -- on that one Google maps was much better.
We will definitely do another trip with Bike Tours and even this exact one-- it was memorable and fun and want to experience it with more friends.
