Perfect Pleasure Times Two
Venice to Mantova by Bike and Boat (and reverse)
This was such a wonderful trip when my husband and I experienced it the first time for our thirtieth wedding anniversary, we took it again, in the opposite direction, two years later!
The small towns we traveled through were charming and welcoming. We saw places that were unique and off-the-beaten path of the general tourist. Chioggia, Ferrara, Zelo: they each kept beckoning us back.
Then, too, the Vita Pugna was any thing but "hard life". The staff treated us like treasured family members. The fed us local cuisine that was fresh, creative, and oh, so satisfying. They were enthusiastic and welcoming every day of the journey. Our bicycling guides, on each trip, revealed history, culture, and sites, that only the well-informed local would usually enjoy.My husband and I have traveled on five bike trips with biketours.com, and we have plans of cycling again to an, as yet, undiscovered destination. The company makes our travel dreams affordable, successful, and worth repeating.

Great guides!
South Dalmatia Bike/E-bike and Boat
Charming small towns, amazing antiquities, gorgeous coastlines! The e-bikes made the climbs easy and there was was only one very rainy day and one very windy day. Otherwise we got lucky with the weather in late October. Mario and Kristopher were knowledgeable, engaging, funny and personable. Throughout Croatia we were treated well. Split and Trogir had good restaurants and nice places to stay before and after our time on the boat. The food on the boat was plentiful, fine. Beds were comfy and private bathrooms worked well for us. The ship’s captain could have taken more direct action when several guests got caught in a current while swimming but our guides prevailed in assisting them. One regret, we were not able to visit Vis due to stormy weather.

Fantastic tour!
Cultural Splendors of the Peloponnese and Saronic Isles E-bike and Boat
My best trip in 20 years! This is not to detract from past trips but this Greece tour was well executed. The staff (8) made each of our 17 participants (all friends) feel individually special.
The meals were excellent with variety and abundance - lots of Greek style dishes, diversity of fish, beef, lamb, ham, fruits, vegetables, etc.
The guides - Chrysa and Marylou- kept the group informed, gave excellent bike tours, and adjusted the itinerary when needed. What a comedy team! They work so well together and we had so many laughs! The swimming at various beaches and off the boat was a highlight. The boat was beautiful, spacious for the group and comfortable. We thought the rooms were adequately sized as compared to other tours we’ve been on. Climate control was good in the rooms although the cool nights made sleeping easy. There was some mild diesel smell in some of the rooms but opening the portholes and running the room fans took care of that odor - which mostly resulted from wind direction or docking . The bad mattresses were firm but in excellent condition. The bikes were in excellent shape and got all of us up the hills without depleting the batteries. The service crew always made sure the rooms were daily cleaned and any of our needs were met. They were outstanding! The scenery was just so beautiful! If you like boats, great food, excellent staff, exercise and good views, don’t pass up on this excellent trip!- What was the date of your tour?

The Best trip ever
National Parks of Dalmatia by Bike/E-bike and Boat
Every aspect of our tour was first rate and we would recommend this trip to everyone. From the moment we arrived at the gang plank to a couple of hours after we departed the Magellan, we were treated to first rate service by the land support staff and onboard crew. The tour, the sights and the cities visited were tremendous. The size of the tour (30), allowed us to get to know the entire group of travellers and we were fortunate to be joined by many interesting and enthusiastic adventurers . The single best aspect of our trip were our two guides, Dora and Serge. Their professionalism, enthusiasm and pride in their country made every part of the journey fun, interesting and an experience never to forget.

Enchanting Cyclades and Saronic Islands
The tour truly lives up to its name. It offers the perfect blend of cycling, sailing, and exploring some of Greece’s most stunning islands. Each day brings something new, charming whitewashed villages, crystal-clear waters, and peaceful coastal roads with breathtaking views. The combination of guided bike rides and relaxing moments aboard the ship makes it both active and rejuvenating. The crew and guides are friendly and knowledgeable, and the food and atmosphere on board are excellent. A wonderful way to experience the Greek islands from both land and sea!

Adventure of a lifetime!
Amsterdam – Bruges by Bike and Boat – Princesse Royal
Everything could not have been better. The small group(30)was just right for riding and for socializing on the boat. The staff were so helpful and friendly. We had an excellent guide whose pride in his country and knowledge of history shone through.
The bike routes and stops for lunch and for evening walks were idyllic. The bikes were well maintained and comfortable to ride. Coming to the boat for a first class meal at the end of the day, was a delight.

We enjoyed everything about this tour! We’ve We have participated in afew bike trips now and this was the best so far. The beautiful scenery of Belgium and the Netherlands was like a painting. The towns we rode through were so pretty- it was rose and hydrangea season! Always a good beer or rose plus some kind of sweet specialty on offer! Our tour guide was very knowledgeable about the area and took time to get to know all of us. The Zwaantse barge was great- the captain and crew friendly and professional, the cook prepared excellent meals everyday! Couldn’t ask for a better week of riding!

Tulip Tour - Bike & Boat Holland's Famous Tulip Fields
Excellent vacation travelling on meandering paths through farm land. Cheese and tulips! Perfect tour. The Iris barge was great. Had everything we needed. The crew was very attentive to our needs and the bike guides were knowledgeable, friendly and patient. Best done with an electric bike.

Something for everyone
Provence by Bike and Boat
Roman ruins, midieval hilltop castles and walls, vistas and views that will take your breath away. Our crew and guide were outstanding, informative and fun. The food was fabulous: local, interesting, well prepared and well presented. This could have qualified as a food tour alone!!

Amsterdam – Bruges by Bike and Boat – Fluvius (and reverse)
I organized a trip for 24 of us from Michigan on the Amsterdam - Bruges May 4- 11, 2019. The trip was fantastic. We had a few rough days of weather yet were positive and biked anyways. Nice accommodations, staff was very friendly and accommodating to dietary needs ( one vegetarian and the lactose free). Bar prices were reasonably. The tour guides were informative and nice that they did a few evening tours. You could bike on your own and I did this several days. The maps were clear. The extra side trips were nice, strawberry fields, bike museum, sandstone shop etc... There was flexibility for those that didn't want to ride on the rainy, cold morning. I will be doing another tour in the future.

Wonderful tour!
Holland’s Super Tulip Tour
This tour was so much fun!! Our week was May 6-13. The weather was cool (50-65 degrees) and cloudy, some rain but no matter, we were prepared. Our guide Rosanne was fabulous, always cheerful, full of information and always willing to talk and be with us. The boat crew was equally wonderful - Hans, Tessi, Jon - we enjoyed each of them completely and felt completely taken care of. Meals were meticulously prepared, the tables set with touches of flowers, special napkin folds, cookie-cutter butter chunks, chocolates, just charming touches. The chef Hans always provided tupperware with salads or delicious leftovers for lunch, or we could make sandwiches from the buffet table. We were never hungry! Jon the skipper came and chatted with us daily, always with a big smile.
The Holland terrain and bike paths were positively delightful. Rosanne took us to numerous small museums during the days of riding as well as after the rides. The Anna Antal barge was delightful as well. Small rooms as expected but completely fine and comfortable. Thank you for such an enjoyable trip!- What was the date of your tour?

Outstanding Trip
Danube Delights: Cycling and Cruising in the Footsteps of Royalty
Richie Daigle with Bike Tours did an outstanding job on our club's bike and boat trip on the Danube. We had 38 people and many of them said it was one of our best trips ever. Throughout the planning process Richie answered all our questions in a timely manner. During the trip all contracted items were as promised or better.
