Like being at camp
Bruges – Amsterdam by Bike and Boat
This trip was so fun! Meeting new people, being active during the day, and eating three meals together was like being in an adult summer camp. The staff was incredibly responsive to our needs - from the guide, to the captain and crew, and chef on board. The meals were incredible - and some of the best food I have ever had. It was a great way to be introduced to biking - amazing!

What a way to see the country! Our guide Winny was fun knowledgeable and open to suggestions. The crew in the Anna Antal were excellent,helpful and participated in our evening conversations and fun. From the moment we got on board the Melody in Trogir we felt welcomed and
comfortable. The rooms were spacious and very well maintained. The crew was helpful and very qualified. The food was plentiful and good. Selection of bar drinks were also great. Opportunities to swim off the back of the boat were amazing and much enjoyed. The bike ride was really fun and the e-bikes made it a most enjoyable ride. Great Adventure
Bordeaux by Bike and Boat: Castets-en-Dorthe to Libourne (and reverse)
Had a great time riding through the Bordeaux wine country. E-Bike made it easy (I'm 74) and the French countryside was beautiful. Our bike guide was awesome and very knowledgeable about wine and the local history. Food was great and the room was comfortable. Very enjoyable week!

First trip to Greece
Enchanting Cyclades and Saronic Islands
We greatly enjoyed this tour. It was our first time using e-bikes and that made the rides very enjoyable. The crew was very professional and prepared delicious meals also. Our guides, Mary Lou and Isabel did a wonderful job sharing history and guiding us through the five Islands we visited. They were a joy to spend time with and very professional as well. We enjoyed getting to know the other couples on board as we shared our meals and rides together. Although some high winds prevented us from going to all of the islands listed in the tour, I can highly recommend it just the same.

Danube Delights: Biking through Four Countries
Whether the bike rides or the river cruise and amenities, this tour is clearly put together thoughtfully for the client and to provide a nice balance of experiences. Also, the Vivienne was able to negotiate the Danube in low water levels that many other cruise ships could not. (We passed some that were moored and could not continue). Great crew and food. We also have e-bikes at home and the ones provided were comfortable and high-quality.

Best BIKE Trip of My Life
Bike and Boat Croatia’s Dalmatia Coast
We loved this trip. It was wonderful to be on the boat . The guides were the best-Luka and Mario are a perfect team. Lots of interesting things to do beyond biking Loved going to a different island each day. I would urge almost all future participants to rent the ebike. Croatia is extremely hilly and the ebikes made all the difference in the world. You’ll enjoy the trip more with one. Loved the rafting , kayaking , tastings and being able to swim off the boat. Don’t bother bringing snorkel or goggles. So glad it was a two week trip-it went too quickly! Thanks to all the people who worked so hard to make this happen!

Nice boat, although older. Very good meals. Great, helpful staff. Bikes we're good, all worked very well. Tour I'm Bratislava, Slovakia. We didn't research our day in Vienna very well, but we saw lots of stuff anyway. We will probably stay in touch with our dining table mates and do another trip

Great crew in North Holland on board Zwaan.
Amsterdam & The Sea by Bike and Boat
We had a great family vacation on board the Zwaan. The crew and our guide were marvellous and totally spoiled us. Dinner was a meal to look forward to with creative 3/4 course meals with a different country theme each night.
Wind was a bit of a problem and some cycling days were shortened due to strong head winds. Instead the captain cheerfully moved us ahead to less exposed trails. It was recommended that we use the services of a guide which turned out to be very good advice.- What was the date of your tour?

Alexandria Mount Vernon Bike & Boat Tour
I have biked all over the US / world. This ride is a bucket list. if you can bounce out from DC / DCA and ride the path along the Potomac and back all the way. There are some great spots to eat in Alexandria as well.

Great Trip In Every Way
Amsterdam – Bruges by Bike and Boat – Magnifique III (and reverse)
We had a great time biking from Amsterdam to Bruges. For those concerned about biking so much, this is a very flat ride; easy on a road bike in my estimation, though many had E Bikes. The Magnifique III was beautiful, comfortable, and offered a great team of guides and hospitality professionals who took great care of us. A few of the days of the tour were not as exciting of a ride as far as what you see, but most days were beautiful, varied and offered unique experiences such as a bike museum where we got to ride some crazy bikes, a canal tour in Ghent, a city tour in Antwerp, a visit to an incredible workshop of a local craftsman. It rained a few days but we were prepared and it didn't bother us. So much fun. Get out there and enjoy an active vacation on a bike; you will not be sorry!

New Bike Adventure

This was our first guided Bike and Barge trips. The guides were great. Belgium and the Netherlands are not the most scenic, but the other travelers and guides made the trip very enjoyable. The meals on board were excellent. The electric bikes were not reliable and you could tell they had been heavily used. The normal bikes were like new.

An excellent way to explore the Istrian Peninsula
The Istrian Peninsula by Electric Bike
This is a fabulous way to explore the Istrian Peninsula, as you have the opportunity to see the coast and also explore inland. The boat is very comfortable and it is great to be able to get away from the crowds at the end of the day! The towns and villages that you get to explore are gorgeous and the coastline spectacular. Being able to swim off the back of the boat and cool off is an added bonus!

Nice way to experience Belgium and the Netherlands.
Amsterdam – Bruges by Bike and Boat – Fluvius (and reverse)
Very good ride. So much to see along the way and relatively easy. Planning with biketours.com worked well and our back and forth communication during the planning process was as expected. Pre-travel materials were accurate, and we were well prepared upon arrival in Europe. In country, Boat Bike Tours did a nice job. The boat was clean and well-staffed with friendly people. The bikes worked well, however we were not able to bring our own pedals and saddles as we have been able to swap them out on previous rides with biketours.com. Apart from blowing out the bearings on a pedal, we had no issues with the bikes. We went self guided and the directions via the Ride with GPS app were spot on and accurate. Highlights, bathrooms, restaurants along the route were highlighted and worth the visit. We liked having options on some days as well with a couple choices on rides. Though I enjoy staying in the different small European cities along the way and having our luggage transported on previous rides, the boat worked well, especially for those that wanted to take a day off due to rain or winds. For the most part, the boat parked in excellent locations making it easy to explore on your own. There was no curfew on the boat, so you could come and go as you please for the most part. Part of the trip is not riding, but on the boat. This is primarily through industrial areas, which was interesting because we traveled through multiple locks. We traveled with two vegans, and were told during planning process that they could not accommodate these diets, but the staff were eventually able to make vegan meals for the two which was not expected, but welcome none the less (thank you Firas on board the Fluvius!). Note that helmets were included on the boat free of charge, so don't pay the 10 Euro to rent one.

The crew, barge and guides were all top notch and the food was really good. Beautiful bike routes took us through lovely local scenery! Enjoyed walking tours in Antwerp and Bruges. Guides were super flexible and offered different options on a day with bad weather. Highly recommend!
