Perfect way to feeling the best of holland. One good ideia is to offer the same tour but with the possibility of the bikers to choose by themselves the dinner in local restaurants.

Fantastic Trip!

This is a great way to see the country. The team was great, friendly, and helpful. The meals were wonderful. Our guide, Marjan, was calm, patient, and really knew the territory. I enjoyed the evening walks through the towns as she explained a bit about the history as well.

We enjoyed the tulip tour very much. Our guide, Maria, did a wonderful job. She is very knowledgeable and makes everyone feel comfortable. The crew of the Sailing Home were also great! The bikes were in excellent condition.

Great way to explore a foreign country

A really enjoyable way to discover a new country. We were fortunate to have a very helpful tour guide ,along with a first class chef providing excellent meals as well as very helpful barge staff. Our boat the Anna Anatel accomadated 17 guests and was an ideal group size for this type of activity.

Tulips, Windmills, Canals and Camaraderie!

The Super Tulip Tour (Barge: Zwaan @ 14 passengers and 4 crew) was truly a delight from beginning to end. Our group of 8 Americans, 2 Canadians, 2 Norwegians and 2 French enjoyed polder pedaling, canal crossings and windmill wonders while taking in the tulip fields/gardens. The meals were served family style and were amazing! The rooms were well equipped with wifi, hair dryers, etc. and the crew was eager to please.

Terrific Tulip Trip

We had 15 cyclists, a crew of 4 and the best experience. While Holland is flat, making the actual cycling fairly easy, the number of cyclists on the road presented a learning curve for many of us. But our guide, Niels, taught us about the rules of the road and we all biked safely. While I signed up for this because I wanted to see the tulips, it was much more. Riding through nature reserves, having our picnic lunch at the beach on the North Sea and more. Our crew was fantastic - personable and efficient. The meals were delicious. We packed picnic lunches each morning, enabling a more relaxed and flexible lunch break. Our original route was changed in order to avoid Keukenhof Gardens on a Sunday. Any alterations to the route only improved the ride. It was a great group to ride with and a great overall experience.

The cycling was great, the barge accomodations were great, food was fantastic, crew was exceptional. Couldn't have had a better experience in the Netherlands. Our first trip to Europe was excellent. Many interesting stops along the cycle tour, worth the effort of cycling to places we wouldn't have seen otherwise

Holland at tulip time on bikes and a boat is pretty amazing. Our group was quite small but mixed together very well. Then our guides! Thomas and Hans, along with intern, Angela, added the extra touch with extra night time excursions and extra attention for all.
We did spend an entire day riding in the rain (touring Keurkhoff). In one respect it made the day a bit miserable, but at the same time the rainy day was indicative of Holland and added to the overall experience. Most memorable way to sight see

The barge was exceptional with a welcoming crew and fabulous 5 star meals. Our guide tailored our bike tours to our requests and needs. Adri went over and above what was expected of a bike leader. We had much stronger winds than I had expected so for 2 days riding our bicycles was challenging (we did not have e-bikes), but it was well worth the effort as the sights we saw were so beautiful and I felt that we travelled to places that most tourists never get a chance to see or experience. Our coffee and lunch stops were often at interesting places. We stopped at churches, markets, cheese & clog store, windmills and sometimes just to take in the scenic views. There was always something new to see and discover in each place we stopped. I think one of the most interested things we saw were 2 volunteers in a small town running a channel lock. We watched them hoist the bridge and then shut the gates of the lock and the water level lowered to meet the upcoming canal. The couple in the boat chatted with them as they waited for the water to come to equilibrium and then the doors were opened and off they went. The volunteers collect 3 euros for every vessel that comes through the lock and then at the end of the year that money is used for a big party for the volunteers of the town. Of course the greatest day was the Keukenhof Gardens which was the most breathtaking gardens I have ever seen. Even more beautiful than the acres of tulips we had ridden past on the days prior.

Wonderful tour!

This tour was so much fun!! Our week was May 6-13. The weather was cool (50-65 degrees) and cloudy, some rain but no matter, we were prepared. Our guide Rosanne was fabulous, always cheerful, full of information and always willing to talk and be with us. The boat crew was equally wonderful - Hans, Tessi, Jon - we enjoyed each of them completely and felt completely taken care of. Meals were meticulously prepared, the tables set with touches of flowers, special napkin folds, cookie-cutter butter chunks, chocolates, just charming touches. The chef Hans always provided tupperware with salads or delicious leftovers for lunch, or we could make sandwiches from the buffet table. We were never hungry! Jon the skipper came and chatted with us daily, always with a big smile.
The Holland terrain and bike paths were positively delightful. Rosanne took us to numerous small museums during the days of riding as well as after the rides. The Anna Antal barge was delightful as well. Small rooms as expected but completely fine and comfortable. Thank you for such an enjoyable trip!- What was the date of your tour?

My husband and I booked this trip with several friends but we made many new friends on the trip. The guides were so knowledgeable and they too became friends. Each day we would start with a delicious breakfast, make our sack lunch and head out to get our bikes. The days were filled with wonderful cities and gorgeous countrysides. I don’t think you could have this kind of experience in a car or bus. We would have a morning break for coffee and later a stop for lunch either in city pubs or country inns. We returned back to the boat to find appetizers and the bar ready to receive orders. We could return to the comfort of our room for a hot shower or go in the hot tub. Always places you could find to be alone. The days followed the same routine, but the sites an food were always changing. Speaking of food, our chef did a fantastic job cooking for all 30 of us. The ship Captain and crew all pitched in to get our meals out quickly. Evening were sometimes optional tours or casual strolls along the water. Each day was magical.

This was our first bike tour, and we did not know what to expect. It was better than what we hoped it would be and I would recommend this trip to everyone! Our bike guide, Andri was amazing! He always made sure everyone was together, comfortable with the route and their bike. He was great at explaining where we were going, what to expect and set a perfect pace for the electric bikers and pedal bikers. The sites on the ride were beautiful! It was a great route and we saw many different views along the way from windmills, to fields, a cheese farm and beautiful quaint towns. Our cook on the barge, Amil did an amazing job! Our food was perfect. Breakfast was always tasty and after breakfast we packed a quick sandwich and fruit for lunch. Exactly what we needed midway through our ride. Dinners were absolutely delicious. We had a wide variety of food and it was always fresh, accompanied with an appetizer to start and dessert at the end. he spoiled us! Craig was the assistant chef and assistant for everything! He too, always made sure everything was running smoothly and made sure everyone had what they needed. Our captain, Coen, got us through the canals and locks and to our destinations safely. He even did a city tour with us one night and did an amazing job. The crew all seemed to love their jobs. They were all happy and friendly, and truly made our trip amazing! If we could’ve, we would’ve booked another trip on our last day. We’ll definitely be back!!! Thanks for an amazing experience in Europe!

I organized a trip for 24 of us from Michigan on the Amsterdam - Bruges May 4- 11, 2019. The trip was fantastic. We had a few rough days of weather yet were positive and biked anyways. Nice accommodations, staff was very friendly and accommodating to dietary needs ( one vegetarian and the lactose free). Bar prices were reasonably. The tour guides were informative and nice that they did a few evening tours. You could bike on your own and I did this several days. The maps were clear. The extra side trips were nice, strawberry fields, bike museum, sandstone shop etc... There was flexibility for those that didn't want to ride on the rainy, cold morning. I will be doing another tour in the future.

The biking staff we very helpful and knowledgeable. King and welcoming, understanding of all levels and the territory. The daily rides by digital “ride with gps” was pretty much flawless, and the app staff very fast and helpful when a problem arose.
The boat staff very warm and helpful. The cleaning staff timely and great for cabin cleaning. The chef; warm, funny and talented. Food delicious. -

Virgin bike boat trip !

Such a great way to experience a country whilst keeping active. You see a side to the country you wouldn’t otherwise. Such a great way to meet others . The staff were exceptional and good was great .
