60th birthday celebration
Enchanting Cyclades and Saronic Islands
I felt like a kid again, riding through amazing landscapes, swimming in the sea, sleeping under the stars, and laughing tell it hurt while playing games on deck. Our guide was charming, engaging, accommodating, and hilarious and the crew was attentive, friendly, and fun, constantly scanning the conditions to ensure our route was safe and enjoyable. The food was delicious; abundant, varied, and authentic. And I met fabulous people with whom I continue to share my travels. This was a life changing trip.

Perfect in every way
Enchanting Cyclades and Saronic Islands
Everything about this trip was 100%. The rides were spectacular. Our guides and all the staff on the boat were really great. The ship was so comfortable. Chrisya made sure everything and everyone’s needs were met. And my fellow passengers were all lovely people. 13 people and 7 different nationalities made it really fun and interesting.

The tour truly lives up to its name. It offers the perfect blend of cycling, sailing, and exploring some of Greece’s most stunning islands. Each day brings something new, charming whitewashed villages, crystal-clear waters, and peaceful coastal roads with breathtaking views. The combination of guided bike rides and relaxing moments aboard the ship makes it both active and rejuvenating. The crew and guides are friendly and knowledgeable, and the food and atmosphere on board are excellent. A wonderful way to experience the Greek islands from both land and sea!

I've been looking forward to this trip for so long
Enchanting Cyclades and Saronic Islands
This trip was an absolute joy on so many levels. The cycling routes were beautiful, the boat was a perfect place to relax, and the onboard chef was fantastic. Our group was a great mix of nationalities — four couples and three solo travelers — which made for a fun and friendly atmosphere. One of the couples was actually on their honeymoon, adding a lovely and positive energy to the experience. The crew was professional and pleasant, though they kept a bit more to themselves than on some other trips — perhaps understandable, as it’s the end of a long season for them.

Sea, Sand, (and Hills) of Crete!
Aegean Discovery: Cycling through Eastern Crete
We did the slow ride through Crete with an off day at the beach after every day of cycling. Beautiful scenery, and a decent enough amount of cycling each day to feel that we earned our dinners! Very well run and organized, with no issues with hotels or luggage transfers.

Amazing experience!
Greek Island Adventure by Bike and Sail
What an incredible trip! The team on board was fantastic — always thinking ahead and making everything smooth. The atmosphere was warm and friendly, and the cabins were super comfy and spotless.
We cycled 20–60 km a day, exploring stunning views of Greece — olive groves, crystal-clear sea, quiet roads, and amazing beaches you couldn’t reach on foot. Morning yoga helped stretch our muscles and get ready for the day.
The food was incredible — never the same twice, with choices between fish and meat, plus fresh berries, fruits, and treats. Highlights included lamb and langoustines. October was perfect — great weather, gorgeous nature, and peaceful towns. Highly recommend this tour for anyone who loves cycling, nature, and the sea!

Fantastic Trip

I have been on several bike and boat tours. This past week on the ship Running on Waves was certainly a cut above. The ship was immaculate, staff was over the top helpful and catered to everything we could possibly need. Our bike guide Alex was excellent and our rides beautiful, challenging and interesting. 5 + stars.

The instructor Alex was excellent with the great knowledge of e bikes and the routes troughs the amazing sceneries of the Greece islands.

Thank you so much for the cruise!
I was incredibly impressed by the itinerary. Beautiful islands, a wonderful guide who shared such interesting facts about the sights, history, and archaeology.
He showed us the most interesting spots on the islands. And he planned the routes in a way that was comfortable for everyone—both for those who move a bit slower and for those who prefer a faster pace. The whole group was full of enthusiasm.We covered between 20 and 60 kilometers every day. We had scenic coffee stops, went for swims, visited an olive museum, temples, and historical places—spots where the average tourist doesn't set foot, which was very important.
After that, we had a great time on the ship. The crew entertained us with various activities, like climbing the mast, culinary masterclasses, knot-tying workshops, ship exploration, a tour of the engine room, visit to the bridge.
We all became friends, exchanged phone numbers, and really hope to return again and again for new routes. It was absolutely fantastic!🤩 recommend to everyone!!

Way ahead of expectations!

Our boat was beautiful and very comfortable with lots of gathering spaces, excellent food, friendly staff and guides. Our daily rides were well explained and designed with consideration of the groups abilities and interests.
All in all though it was the people taking care of us that made the difference. Each one appeared to be looking for ways to help or support our experience.

A one of a kind boat bike tour!
Greek Island Adventure by Bike and Sail
I am fairly new to organized tours and of course to boat and bike tours. This trip has introduced me to a great way to see the world combined with my favorite sport-activity - biking and way to travel - by boat.... better still - sailing. The boat? 'Running on Waves' as was evident in the tour photos, is 1st class machine and piece of art and way to travel from port to port. a joy to spend a week on! The Crew? Since arriving at the check in and greeted by Leena and her energy - I've felt like the crew had one focus the entire tour. The guests. They all know their role and made us feel welcome the entire week..... with a smile and true interest in their work. The food? Fueling a troop of hungry bikers 3 times a day is no task for the faint hearted. An extensive buffet and varied meal was always waiting for us. And as for the guided bike rides every day of the tour? Its Greece - and yes - lots of hills. I am a fairly serious road biker - but you may want to go electric. There's a lot to see in Greece above 400 m. Alex is a master at herding biking cats and keeping them happy safe and somewhat educated. He knows the terrain as well as local culture. Its not all biking - stops included an olive press location, Monastery, and Vineyard. From the options I've seen out there - this is a one of a kind tour you might not want to pass up.

Experiencing the beautiful Greek Islands by boat and bike with a fabulous group of people on a wonderful boat with food that was delicious - what a trip! Words I'd use to express the crew include loving, caring, fun, always giving their best, working around the clock, AMAZING. The chef and food were extraordinary, every meal was a delight. The Captain carefully arranged destinations to offer us the best possible experiences. The guides were safety conscious and just fabulous. We were cared for in a way that is hard to describe. I would happily travel with this group and specifically with these people anytime, anywhere.

20th Anniversary Trip
Cultural Splendors of the Peloponnese and Saronic Isles E-bike and Boat
Our expectations were exceeded. We knew we would love to see the countryside this way, and indeed it was fabulous to see the more remote areas that most tourists never experience. And the staff blew us away. I felt so cared for. Every need was accommodated. The staff had such a positive attitude which is noteworthy for how hard they work. It made it a really special experience that we will cherish.
