Well organized and executed
Lake Constance Bicycle Path
BikeTours did a great job communicating our self guided tour and when one of our party had to drop out due to a sprained hand, BikeTours were flexible in picking up the bike from our 2nd tour hotel stop. The e-bikes were top notch and the countryside was beautiful. The hotels were all clean and ranged from adaquate to very comfortable. I have two suggestions. 1) It took a bit over a week to confirm our trip. This put the six of us in limbo for booking our airfare during this time. 2) The route was beautiful but the markings were unclear. There were a lot of choices (almost 1 per kilometer - lots of roundabouts and choices) and we had to stop, pull out our phones, and check Google Maps. This could have been avoided if the BikeTours had let us know to bring a bike phone mount or better yet, supplied one as part of the tour package.

Apologies for the delay in your booking. Because of the nature of hotel based bike tours (lots of moving parts, bookings to confirm, etc) there is often not much we can do to speed this up. Also, noted on the phone mount. We have been seeing that in reviews more this year and will make sure we update our packing list!

This was a great trip. Great bikes. Great ride. Loved the hotels and little towns.
My only complaint was the tour rep that met us didn’t seem to have any time, he let us know he had to meet some people at another hotel. Did not help adjust bikes, poor briefing and left after giving us the basics on the bikes. .Other tour reps spent time and sat down with client's at the same hotel for quite some time. -

A fantastic trip
Lake Constance Bicycle Path
We were very happy with the trip. We enjoyed cycling in the beautiful surroundings of Bodensee. The trip was very well organized and all the hotels very nice. We were there in august, the warmest time of the year and dificulty sleeping at a couple of hotels that did not have AC. Otherwise the trip was super good and great fun. There is friendly atmosphere everywhere, good service and delicious food.I highly recommend this trip. Einar and Margret

Biking the Danube: just the right amount of challenge.
Danube Bike Path 7 Nights (Classic)
The self-guided bike tour prepared by BikeTours.com was the perfect amount of challenge and adventure. We got to see and experience nature, history and the local culture of Austria.
Each night we laid our weary heads down in comfortable and unique accommodations. The hearty breakfasts provided each morning helped to keep us going.
This was just the right amount of challenge for our average level of fitness. The e-bikes, app and maps and luggage transfer certainly made the whole experience easier.
We are already dreaming about our next bike tour.

Lake Constance
Lake Constance Bicycle Path
This self guided trip around Lake Constance was the best biking trip we have taken this far. The scenery was simply fantastic. As boaters it was great to visit the many marinas along the lake. The hotels for the most part were very good. I would recommend that you request hotels with air conditioning . Two hotels we were at did not have air and we were quite uncomfortable. One hotel had very poor bedding as well. Several good pillows and blankets really should be a given.
We also did feel that more detailed maps between towns would have been advantageous. The maps we received on our previous Danube trip were excellent. We recommend that the Lake Constance trip have the same . Sometimes we ended up off the route because of lack of detail.I also recomnend that the tour offer van service to the park hotel. After a full day of biking that long ride uphill is not fun.

Danube waltz bike tour
Danube Delights: Biking through Four Countries
I chose this trip for my 70th birthday with friends. riding through the beautiful countryside was wonderful. sitting on the deck going through the Danube river was so relaing and lovely. The food and accomadations fro perfect. Loved this whole trip.

Quiet roads and beautiful scenary
Danube Bike Path 7 Nights (Classic)
What a great way to see the sites along the Danube! Starting out the last week of September, the bike trail was very quiet. I enjoyed the solitude and how easy it was to just stop along the way and take in the sites. While the trail was nearly empty, the agricultural fields were busy with harvest activities.
Logistically, everything worked great. The accommodations were all nice and directions to them clear. My bag arrived at every stop.
I would take another tour with BikeTours!

Beautiful Bike Trip Along the Danube
Danube Bike Path 7 Nights (Classic)
Lovely landscapes, with nice smooth mostly separate pathways. Plenty of signage for guidance.
Many small bakeries to pick up snacks.
Plenty of riverside places to have lunch and a beverage.
Good hotels nearby to restaurants.
Many small ferries or dam crossings to get across the Danue.
We also used Google maps to help us navigate within the various towns.
The bikes were almost brand new, and comfortable to ride.
We added an extra day in Krems to break up the trip. The Hotel & Spa was a treat.
We had a wonderful trip!

Trip of a lifetime
Danube Capitals Bike & Boat Tour
We had been anticipating this trip for two years and it lived up to all our expectations and more. Riding bikes in 6 different countries over 14 days was amazing! The bikes were great. A lovely ride down the Vltava and Elbe Rivers
Prague to Dresden Along the Vltava & Elbe Rivers
Cycling along the major rivers of Europe is always a pleasure and this trip was no exception. Much of the path is asphalt-paved and hugs the river's edge. There are several small ferries and some bridges which allow cyclists to cycle on either side of the Vlatava and Elbe as one goes north from Prague towards Dresden. The bicycles supplied were well suited for the tour and the GPS, cue sheets and maps guided you on each day's ride. There are a few places where the path has been damaged or destroyed by floods so there are a few steep hills and "single track" sections to navigate. Our lodgings, except in Prague and Dresden, were always in the historic city centers so it was easy to walk around and learn about each place. Along the way, we discovered the history of these rivers and the importance of our stopping points - Melnik, Terezin/Litomerice, Decin, and Bad Schandau. We also had booked an extra day both in Prague and Dresden and easily could have spent more time in these special cities. We found the careful reconstruction of the historic buildings in these cities to be especially impressive.
