Amazing experience!
Greek Island Adventure by Bike and Sail
What an incredible trip! The team on board was fantastic — always thinking ahead and making everything smooth. The atmosphere was warm and friendly, and the cabins were super comfy and spotless.
We cycled 20–60 km a day, exploring stunning views of Greece — olive groves, crystal-clear sea, quiet roads, and amazing beaches you couldn’t reach on foot. Morning yoga helped stretch our muscles and get ready for the day.
The food was incredible — never the same twice, with choices between fish and meat, plus fresh berries, fruits, and treats. Highlights included lamb and langoustines. October was perfect — great weather, gorgeous nature, and peaceful towns. Highly recommend this tour for anyone who loves cycling, nature, and the sea!

Great way to see Belgium and Netherlands!
Bruges – Amsterdam by Bike and Boat
Being our first bike tour, we didn't know what to expect going into the tour, but we had a great time. The whole team was amazing from the first day to the last day. Having dietary restrictions, they were more than accommodating and didn't make it seem like a burden. All the stops along the way were great and our guide was so knowledgeable. Can't wait to do another one!

Fabulous Bike and Barge trip
Venice to Mantova by Bike and Boat (and reverse)
This was my first experience with a bike and barge trip. The tour operator did a first class job. The crew were very professional. The food was delicious. Our guides were very knowledgeable about the history of the places we visited. They kept us safe in areas where the terrain was challenging or where there was a bit of traffic. The cycling was as described as level 1. The experiences along the way were educational and highlighted the Italian culture. Overall a wonderful experience!

Wonderful bike and boat experience
Danube Capitals Bike & Boat Tour
The Swiss Crown was a great way to experience riding and touring Austria, Hungary, Serbia and the rest of places we had the pleasure to see. It was disappointing that we were not able to sail to the Iron Gates because of the weather.
The self guided tours was good and relatively easy to follow despite our tour guide. We did not feel he did not do a good job at all He did not speak English well and a lot of what he tried to say got lost in translation and he was not very patient with our questions and concerns. We so enjoyed the boat -- everything about it was just perfect. The food was excellent and our staff were well trained and pleasant.

Delightful Doesn't Begin to Describe It! Incredible scenery, history, and perfect amount of riding
Danube Delights: Biking through Four Countries
This is my second tour through biketours.com, and it was incredible. I've never done a bike and boat tour, but I would absolutely do it again. It was wonderful to unpack and have the same room to come back to every day. We did May 17-24th 2026, and the weather was outstanding; sunny and 75 degrees. I loved the format of the itinerary as we would ride in the country and alternate with visting a city the next day. The amount of architecture and history you will see in one week is truly breathtaking. Cycling through the Austrian countryside, particularly Wachau, was dreamy as well. I highly recommend this tour on e-bike if you want to have a more relaxing time, but the Danube cycle path is very flat and easy for regular bikes too. One of the highlights was seeing a classical music concert at Schonbrunn Palace in Vienna. Wow, wow, wow! Food on the ship was good, and the tour guide's daily brief and visual slides before the ride were excellent. They have an app called Guibo that provides very good GPS navigation of the route with particular stops of interest marked.

Dutch Delight
Holland by Bike and Boat, Southern Tour
Amazing tour and incredible way to discover this amazing country. Our guides Bart and Andreas were excellent hosts and did a great job making sure everything went smoothly. The De Amsterdam boat was clean, crew was excellent and meals were very good. The bikes all seemed quite new and functioned very well. The daily routines were well organized for scenic rides with perfect amount of time and distance to enjoy many stops along the way. I would easily recommend this tour to anyone looking for a relaxing week of sightseeing and moderate cycling. Looking forward to more adventures in the future with bikeboat tours!

Holland’s Super Tulip Tour
Guide was excellent. Did all the navigation. Knowledgeable about Holland and its history and culture. Food was beyond expectations. Chef really did try to accommodate everyone’s needs the boat captain competent.!!

Fantastic Trip

I have been on several bike and boat tours. This past week on the ship Running on Waves was certainly a cut above. The ship was immaculate, staff was over the top helpful and catered to everything we could possibly need. Our bike guide Alex was excellent and our rides beautiful, challenging and interesting. 5 + stars.

Wonderful trip

Terrific guides and a perfect mix of time in rural and urban areas. Enjoyed the beauty of the countryside plus some of the great cities of Europe. Surprised that so many in the group were using e-bikes. The frequency of rest stops was perfect. Food on the boat was excellent.

Perfect balance for families
Ionian Islands Multi-sport Family Cruise
We went on this tour at the end of a long summer travel, and it was the perfect balance of adventure and relaxation for our family. Our guides, Tina and Niovi were absolute pros - warm, available, generous and skilled. The level of exertion was just right for our healthy but not super fit family - we got close to our limits for vacation but never felt pushed too far and therefore ended up feeling improved without feeling depleted. The delicious and generous shared meals are served family style so there was plenty of opportunity to socialize with the other guests, and we were lucky to have similar age kids on our trip. The boat is absolutely "ship-shape", in great condition and well maintained and the captain and crew work hard to make it the most comfortable experience possible. They warned us in advance when we might expect swells, and even those days were delightful sailing so I am sure they timed and charted the course for our benefit.

Awesome experience
Amsterdam – Bruges by Bike and Boat – Princesse Royal
This trip on Magnifique III was our second after an equally great trip on Magnifique II last year. The boat and bikes were great and the group of 40 people from all over the world made for awesome conversation and fun. Our guide Hester (same as last year) was truly amazing and we were fortunate to have her again. The only negative aspect was the air conditioner broke down on the second day of our August trip which made for some very uncomfortable evenings on board.

Bucket List Adventure

The entire trip was awesome from start to finish. Tour guide(Hester)and boat staff/captain were all extremely accommodating at every request. The thirty four passengers from U.S.,Canada,Scotland,Brazil,Germany,Switzerland and Portugal were all easy going and ranged in ages fro two teenage girls to people around 70.There were never any issues between the guests during meals, evening relaxing time and daily rides.The choice of paths/routes brought out the best of Belgium and Holland and high lighted the country side farms and villages as well as several larger cities. The only suggestions we have would be to try and provide a little variety of breakfast foods and keep the cabin temperature a little cooler on very hot summer days.

Excellent trip
Danube Delights: Biking through Four Countries
This was our first experience with cycling and cruising. It could not have been any better. Everything was perfect. The travel arrangements, the hotels before and after the cruise and the cruise itself were perfect.
The Passauer Wolf hotel in Passau, Germany was in a perfect location, excellent staff, (Fredericka) and very modern and comfortable in an historic building. The transportation from Munich to Passau prior to the cruise and after the cruise was on time and professional.The cruise on Vivienne beyond our expectations. Everything was done professionally with friendliness and courtesy. The ship itself was very comfortable, our cabin was well appointed and the service was amazing (Ramona). The food was abundant and of wide variety. Every meal was a delight and delicious. The wait staff was superb and learned each of our tastes (Muhammad).
The cycling was well planned and thought out. The cycling sections were appropriate for inexperienced riders, but still interesting and enjoyable for seasoned riders. The cruise director, Leslie, was a superstar. He marked each cycling course so well the riding app was not needed. Leslie also provided informative and very useful briefings prior to each ride and each port visit that were interesting and entertaining. He also dealt with problems that arose with quiet, calm efficiency. He is a real treasure.
The tour guides in Vienna, Bratislava and Budapest were all superb.
In short. I would highly recommend this tour on Vivienne.

Best bike/sail trip yet!
Denmark and Sweden by Sail and Bike
We had 30 bikers, so the group was divided into two, and eventually evolved into three biking groups. Since many had downloaded the app, some people set off on their own. The e-bikes were wonderful and welcome since the winds off the coast could be strong! Although it rained on arrival day, it was sunny and 60’s every day thereafter. The biking varied- from urban streets to rural farm areas with few major inclines. Amazing traditional and contemporary architecture, climbing roses, peonies, and poppies everywhere. Danish and Swedish locals were friendly and helpful as needed.
The ship had 4 comfortable areas for people to hang out in; two inside and two outside. The sailing crew (all young women) were fabulous: friendly, helpful, and strong (!) when putting up the sails! Chef Pete was phenomenal- gourmet meals and fika daily at 4:00. The Captain was friendly and entertaining - very proud of his boat and crew, understandably.
The tour guides were friendly, fun, and incredibly helpful as bikers fell or had tire issues. In past bike/barge tours, the program guides provided more history, info, etc about each city, but we googled/translated info as needed.
I’ve been on 3 other bike/sail trips so assumed the compartments would be small; there were complaints among new tour participants expecting more room.

Danube Delights: Biking through Four Countries
The best ever bike tour!! We biked some of the most beautiful sections of the Danube and we also had other excursions plus the activities on the boat. The Sun deck was lovely - what a treat after biking to sit up there and watch the pastoral sights go by! The food was really good. I am lactose intolerant and the chef always had an alternative for me - even with the multiple course meals. Thank for Biketours.com for finding this fantastic tour!
