Great Trip
Cycling Spain's Ebro River
Absolutely beautiful route with good places to stay. Significant climbs every day made the E Assist bikes a necessity for our group. (We had 6 people about 60 years old and in quite good shape). It was unseasonably hot for our week and a number of the smaller hotels in the mountains did not have AC. I'm not sure how often that would be an issue but sleeping was tough for a few nights. The local crew was friendly, timely and helpful. I would recommend the trip.

Highly enjoyable and well organised
Cycling Spain's Ebro River
We greatly enjoyed the beautiful and ever changing landscapes we rode through. The e-bikes we chose were greatly appreciated as there was quite a bit of climbing at some points each day. The routes chosen were good - mostly the roads we rode on were quiet with few cars. The hotels were mostly small and rural, but the hosts were excellent, the food good and the accommodation comfortable. The quality of the bikes, the orientation briefing and the collection at the end of the trip left nothing to complain about. The route guidance maps provided to preload onto the Ride with GPS App worked really well.

Gorgeous vistas!
Cycling Spain's Ebro River
I've been on several bike tours; this was by far my favorite. The routes were well-planned with views that took you from the origin of the Ebro through the mountains through gorges, along rich valleys & fields, ending in the celebrated Rioja Valley- with charming historical towns all along the way. Detailed GPS instructions made the routes easy to follow, allowing you to go at your own pace and stop to take advantage of the many interesting sights. My first time on an e-road bike and I'm a convert- the equipment was excellent. The local team was very helpful and supportive, making sure everything ran smoothly. I hope to do this tour again!

A Wonderful Self Guided Bike Trip
Cycling Spain's Ebro River
This trip was excellent in few respects.
The organization, communication with the company and follow up by Inshaaf during the few weeks leading to the trip were efficient and timely.
The routes were spectacular and both the written guides provided to us by IberoCycle and the RideWithGPS courses made the navigation easy and the stops easy to find.
The inns were not luxurious but were nice, clean and functional. Breakfasts and dinners were great.
This trip exceeded our expectations.

Exceeded expectations
Wine & Cuisine in Girona's Emporda Plain
Bike tours, Catalonia was an exemplary tour operator for us. The entire entire office staff welcomed us and rallied around getting our bikes ready to start out on the tour. Our tour guide and sag wagon drivers were fantastic help, and great company throughout. Girona and the whole Costa Brava tour route Was most enjoyable. The beach resort center were very highly developed, and not the sort of bucolic experience we seek , but we’re nonetheless not unpleasant. We were not overly impressed by the restaurant cuisine, in particular found the Michelin star restaurant to be more pretentious than interesting. We would skip that to Ed in a more representative local restaurant another time.

OMG....Absolutely amazing!!
Basque Country by Road Bike (Upscale Lodging)
This was my first bike tour and exceeded all expectations. I was with others who had been on dozens of bike tours and they said this was one of the best (if not, THE best) for multiple reasons. 1. Bike Tour Company (Bizi Cycle Tours) - company started just a few years ago by married couple. Virginia Berasategui is former pro triathlete and is the guide and husband (Ander) is responsible for business end/logistics/food. They are a fun couple who were raised in the area seem to know everyone. Based on ability, they can and will adapt routes. 2. Location - Beautiful location for riding...beaches, countryside views, mountains, and vineyards. This trip incorporates 4 days of road and 2 days of gravel cycling through vineyards. Tour de France (2023) took place here during first three stages and this tour includes many of the same roads. Roads are pristine since they were paved in advance of Tour. 3. This tour combines cycling AND gastronomy (and wine!)...and amazing experiences. Each full day experience was unexpected and seem to top the day prior. Bike tours typically emphasis either cycling or the food. This tour combines both in a big way. 4. Price: this tour is a great deal and was longer and included more that the large American tour companies. None of the 'big boys' offer this same type of experience/routes. Other: the terrain here can be challenging in Basque. Beginner or causal cyclists should go with electric bikes. If you like going on longer rides and/or like to push yourself, this tour is for you! My group wanted the full cycling (and eating) challenge, and we received it!

E bike ride
Granada, White Villages and Costa del Sol
Great way to see Spain off the beaten track. New e bikes from Bicicletas La Estacion in Granada, we had an issue with brakes on one of the bikes and GPS running out of battery on our way to Loja, Antonio picked up, fixed and returned bike same night and brought back up battery for the GPS. We really recommend renting the GPS as map books are difficult to follow. Ground handler, Jorge, was awesome, he was in contact with us daily and responded immediately to any issues we had. Caminito del Rey is unbelievably beautiful, but don’t go with high expectations of Hotel La Gargantua as it is comfortable, but it is nothing like the other hotels and Paradors which exceeded expectations. We stayed two nights in Antequera and Ronda which we recommend. If you are on an ebike, conserve your battery as much as you can from Caminito to Ronda as it is a good climb. Lastly, dealing with Penelope from Bike tours.com made the planning of the trip effortless.

We had a great experience and the level of service that Jorge & Antonio provided made the difference in making this a truly amazing trip. Jorge kept in touch with us daily to ensure all was good, our luggage always arrived at the destination ahead of us. We had new bikes, and when the odd thing went wrong with the equipment Antonio came and repaired what needed fixing. The only issue we had was the Garmin, which ran out of power, so they arranged for a power pack that extended its range .
We would recommend them to anyone, it made the trip enjoyable knowing they could be contacted if anything went wrong.- What was the date of your tour?

This was a great trip, we enjoyed visiting Andalucía and some of their great towns and cities. We had excellent support through our ride by Jorge. He will provide information on restaurants and places to visit in each town , he also helped us when one of our bikes had a flat tire !!

Perfect tour of Catalonia!
Great Pyrenees and Costa Brava E-Bike Tour
From our welcome and thorough briefing in Girona, to the comfortable and capable bikes, the stunning views, memorable accommodations, delectable food and wine, history and wonder of the region, I highly recommend this trip! The tour winds all across Catalonia and offers many miles on trials and nearly car-free roads. The drivers in Catalonia were extremely courteous and always provided plenty of room when passing. We found the directions, information, and navigation app to be easy to use (make sure you bring a portable charger for your phone). The tour operators provide suggestions to customize your itinerary for each day dependent on distance and interest. The e-bikes are a great match for this enticing and challenging route! We traveled in April and found the weather to be quite lovely. Catalonia is windy so be sure to bring the appropriate gear. Yet another reason to love the e-bikes! We opted for the premium hotel and added on a few of the additional tours/meals offered through the tour operator. Happy with all of it!

Great trip to end the year
Great Pyrenees and Costa Brava E-Bike Tour
This was my first trip to Spain but my second BikeTours trip of the year. We were incredibly blessed to have good sunny weather for 95% of the trip! The bike company we worked with were very kind and helpful. I needed a replacement bike after day 2 and they quickly delivered a new one for me! The routes and maps were well planned out and gave us the opportunity to see a lot of varied terrain and some really cool little villages. It was nice to not have too much 'in town' cycling and we saw a lot of beautiful scenery along the way. My favorite was the stretch from Figueres to Lot, it was stunning. Looking forward to booking another trip in the Spring. The communication with Bike Tours is always fast and efficient and I appreciate their help each step of the way!
