· Danube Bike Path 7 Nights (Classic)
The App for the bike path route was VERY GOOD. However, at the end of each day the app and map took us to the city for that day's destination, NOT to our hotel. The hotel in Aschach was not near where the app ended the day; and the hotel in Enns, while on the bike path, was several miles (and across major highways). If the hotel was on he bike path, why didn't the app take us directly to it? Finally, when entering Vienna the end of the app was no where near the hotel (a 20 minute taxi ride in heavy traffic). This glitch could easily be fixed by the tour operator by guiding riders directly to their hotel each night. As it was, after a good day of cycling, the day often ended in confusion and nowhere near the destination hotel. The bikes (one a road bike the other an e-bike) were excellent. If the app took us directly to our hotel each day instead of guiding us to the center city, I would rate the trip excellent. Unfortunately the hotel destinations were left to us to figure out, and Google maps did not always work.

Fabulous Ride, Scenery and Hotels

Just a fantastic ride down the Danube. The river valley scenery was especially beautiful, but we all also enjoyed riding through the small towns along the way. Great choice of hotels which all had excellent breakfasts to start us on our day. The only real disappointment we had was the introduction to the tour and bikes by the representative of the tour company. He was late, didn't seem too interested in helping us, and didn't check that the bikes were adjusted correctly for each of us. We had to do some additional adjustments ourselves the next day which caused some problems and could have been totally avoided if he had just checked each of us and had tools to make final changes. That wasn't a good start, but after that, the ride, directions and hotels were all great. Also glad we did an unguided tour as we really didn't need a guide for this trip.

Great experience.

It was our first biking tour as a family. The bikes were in great condition. We had one loose handle bar that we were able to tighten. We never needed to pump for the whole trip. The views were fantastic and we had a lot of fun as a family, especially with two teenage boys. We loved the small towns along the way. Most hotels were great with wonderful views (we prefer local hotels). We will do more in the future. Thank you.

Exceeded Expectations

The route planned and information provided allowed us to completely immerse ourselves in the Austrian culture.
All accommodations were wonderful with comfortable, well appointed suites and quality food services.
We will repeat this trip again as we enjoyed it so much.
Recommend adding days on the end to enjoy Vienna.

Radreise Freude/ Great Tour Company

This was our (3) time riding the “Passau to Vienna “ tour. Such a beautiful experience.
I caught an illness on our flight from the states. Ended up being transported by ambulance to the hospital. Was unable to ride the next day.
Tour operator arranged to have us and our bikes transported by a van to the next hotel.

Wow! - what a fantastic experience gliding down the stunning Danube. The itinerary was first class - our bikes were just great while the accommodation, meals & service on the 'Manon' were all excellent. It really was an experience of a lifetime riding adjacent to the Danube on high quality pathways a lot of the time while also exploring some stunning sights along the way including some gorgeous towns.

Fabulous trip!

What a great way to visit four countries and bike through the lovely countryside. We chose to follow the map on the app ourselves and not have a guide which worked perfectly for us as it gave us more freedom to set our own schedule. We thoroughly enjoyed Leslie, our cruise director, who was full of energy and made each person feel special. The electric bikes were great quality and the crew did all the work moving them on and off the boat for our rides. This is a great introduction for us to the bike and boat world!

Excellent Trip

I would definitely recommend Biketours.com. We had a fantastic trip from Passau to Vienna. Nothing to fault in any of the hotels en route. The Rose Hotel in Maria Taferl and the hotel in Schlogen were particularly fantastic. Quick checkin always and luggage always ahead of us. I got a puncture on day one and my bike was replaced immediately. The app and directions were first class and so easy to follow. We hired E-bikes and they had a great range - never in danger of running out of battery. I would not hesitate to use this company again.

Great time on the Danube

We had a wonderful time in Austria, and sailing down the Danube on the Swiss Crown. There were some many beautiful sites to see when walking or riding a bike through the different cities. The Swiss Crown is a beautiful ship, with a great staff.
