Lovely Trip
Sweden’s West Coast: Helsingborg to Gothenburg
We did the self-guided version which went seamlessly with bike pickup and luggage transfer. A very nice trip. Not difficult biking. Lovely scenery. Great food. Very friendly people - everybody knows English. Very easy to find your way.

Tall Ship Sailing and Biking
Denmark and Sweden by Sail and Bike
Wonderful adventure. Strongly consider e-bike option due to strong headwinds switching between north and south. This is a new trip and we were on the maiden voyage, so the guides were becoming familiar with the routes available. Great food and ambiance.

Great trip!
Sweden’s West Coast: Helsingborg to Gothenburg
We enjoyed everything about the trip. We read reviews that the trains don’t always have room for bikes, so we didn’t try taking train. Every hotel and breakfast was wonderful. The place where we picked up our bikes was less prepared than the bike shops on other trips. They struggled to get our bikes the correct height etc and we had to ask for repairs kits.

For the cabins-- NEED to include ladder or stool for the cabins (4 of them) that have one bed that is almost 120 cm high we had to move our cabin to cabin #2 which was much smaller. Without the stool or ladder I couldn't get in and out of bed safely

Denmark and Sweden by Sail and Bike
Loved experiencing sailing on a tall ship. The captain and crew were super nice and the food was phenomenal. Kudos to Chef Pete!
Denmark is so picturesque and a fabulous place for biking. The two guides were very personable and helpful but they were not locals. (The entire crew is Dutch.) We had many stops and turn arounds as the guides tried to figure out the routes. While that was frustrating, they were so nice and funny that it became a running joke between them and the group.
The e-bikes were fantastic. Easy to learn and use. -

Fantastic Trip
Denmark and Sweden by Sail and Bike
This was our 5th bike trip and by all measures, the best. Denmark and Sweden are beautiful this time of year with everything blooming. We can’t say enough about the boat’s crew and our guides. The food was a 5 star experience at every meal! Biking was a dream as well, with perfectly paved bike paths well away from car traffic. While there was some elevation change, our e-bikes made for easy and enjoyable rides. During the week we made numerous stops at palaces, forts and several beautiful cathedrals. One of the week’s highlights was a day of sailing on our 3 masted ship. When all 14 sails were up it was so much fun. We recommend this trip to anyone looking for a great adventure.

Our best bike trip yet!
Denmark and Sweden by Sail and Bike
We loved this adventure - exploring the northern Denmark and southern Sweden coasts on bike and enjoying the maritime charm of a sailing ship. The enthusiastic ship crew and knowledgeable bike guides made this journey quite special. Their interaction with guests and among themselves proved stellar as they functioned as a cohesive team to meet the needs of guests. The morning buffet was superb, and the dinners won the hearts of the foodies within the group. Quarters met our needs but if you are very tall, the beds may be on the short side. Hot showers are important after a day of riding - the water was plenty hot! We liked the ship and crew so much we are considering booking the Atlantis during their Mediterranean tour.

Fun ride with knowledgable guide around Stockholm
Classic Stockholm Bike Tour
Super tour through Stockholm, a safe ride with our knowledgable guide (Lucas), who shared different perspectives on both the city sights and their history - and the country in general. Saw a lot of important landmarks and other sights - with longer or shorter stops - telling interesting tales and gave background stories where appropriate. Including a "fika" stop - naturally. Thanks for a super tour - we really enjoyed it.

Fun mix of bike & boat

This was our third biketours trip and it was a great one. The scenery wasn't as awe inspiring as the Dolomites trip, and the historical sights weren't as strong as the Catalonia trip, but it was a pleasant trip in two great countries.
The rides weren't difficult, the boat was fun, the food was great. -

Beautiful and peaceful tour of Sweden
Sweden’s West Coast: Helsingborg to Gothenburg
This trip exceeded our expectations. The Kattegattleden is a beautiful, well-maintained network of bike trails along the coast, through farmland and cute towns. We had great weather in early September, and no crowds. We rented gravel bikes and they worked out well for us. The hotels were great, with wonderful breakfasts, and we enjoyed the spa in Varberg. We recommend the various detours suggested, such as to Mölle (we enjoyed hiking at Kullaberg) and Fjäråsbräcka. Sweden is very bike-friendly and the people were very friendly as well.

Better than I Dreamed.

I bike toured in the 70s 89s and 90s but not since though I bicycle everyday. This trip exceeded my expectations. Beautiful views, a great mix of bike paths, single track, gravel and quiet roads. The bike ran well, hotels super nice, luggage showed everyday. Thanks.

Biking the Swedish coast
Sweden’s West Coast: Helsingborg to Gothenburg
It was a great way to see Sweden. I wish we had stayed an extra night or 2 along the way so we'd have more time to explore these lovely towns. The bike path was fun and easy, the hotels good. I would have preferred a lighter faster bike to ride, and I tried to get a preview of the bike before we left but that didn't happen. We had a great time anyways.

We have booked self-guided bike tours in the USA, Japan, and England. The arrangements and support for this trip were some of the best that we've experienced. One highlight for us was the range of lodging we enjoyed - from pension/air B&B to more upscale hotels to small town lodges. And aside from BikeTours, Swedish organizations have done a good job of trail maintenance and route signage. We even saw two elk (aka moose) along the route.

Amazing trip up the west coast of Sweden

This is a must see part of the world!! This was my fifth bicycle trip in Europe and one of the best. The west coast of Sweden was absolutely stunning - beautiful beaches, cute villages, wonderful countryside. The people were tremendous. Language was not an issue. The bicycle trail is well traveled and easy to follow. It was a wonderful experience.

Beautiful Tour of the west coast.
Sweden’s West Coast: Helsingborg to Gothenburg
A wonderful way to explore the Swedish west coast. The bike trail is easy to follow, relatively flat, and was almost exclusively on a paved trail. The trail winds its way along the coastline, with distances between towns very manageable. We stayed in excellent accommodation with lots of time each day to explore. All in all a fantastic family bike trip.

Beautiful scenery, quiet roads, a well-organized tour.
Stockholm and Sörmland
Our custom group tour of 20 was guided with most meals included and luggage transfer. Our bicycle tour guide, who biked with us each day, and his assistant were experienced, competent leaders, and paid close attention to every detail. Our bicycle guide had a good knowledge of Sweden's history and culture and provided us with information along the route. The luggage van driver prepared 3 gourmet picnic lunches, some of the best ever on a bicycle tour. Our 2 guides went above and beyond keeping our group well-informed of each day's activities and on schedule. We enjoyed having both guides join us for dinner. We were met by a local tour leader for 2 castle tours and an excellent harbor tour of Stockholm was organized at the end of the bicycle tour. The guest houses in the countryside were lovely 4* accommodations. The food was excellent and well presented. The routes were safe on secondary roads and paved bicycle paths for the most part, with some roads gravel and packed dirt. If I could have changed anything, it would be less gravel roads. Most of our group did not object. Seven riders in our group rode hybrid bicycles, others requested an electric assistant bicycle. The terrain was gently rolling with a few surprise short hills. Either way, it's a very pleasant ride with picturesque scenery. There were no complaints from our group on this tour.

We have done many bike trips and this one was tops. The route is nearly all on dedicated bike paths, and when not it was on safe roads with little traffic. The maps and GPS and trail markings were easy to follow. Nice variety of country and ocean landscapes. Bikes and hotels (all with sumptuous breakfasts) were good.

Fabulous introduction to Sweden
Sweden’s West Coast: Helsingborg to Gothenburg
This was our third self guided bike tour and our first in Sweden. The trail was very well marked throughout, with the exception of within Gothenburg (and I think that was because of construction). The scenic views were spectacular. The hotels were similar to the ones on other tours. We opted for e-bikes and I’m glad we did as there was a lot of wind and hills throughout the trip, especially on the longest day. If you have the energy, I highly recommend taking advantage of some of the extras listed in the trip agenda such as the UFO monument or the Car and Plane Museum.
