beautiful trip
Dolomites to Venice Along the Old Dolomites Railway Track
A very nice way to view this part of Italy - nice scenery all around, the selected roads were great and away from main ones, easily described and marked to follow

Dolomites to Trieste as a couple
Dolomites to Trieste via Lake Bled at the Foot of the Julian Alps
We loved this tour. We visited wonderful places. The hotels were excellent and the price/quality ratio was very good. The bicycles are in perfect condition. We always had a quick response when any questions. Highly recommended!

Do this trip - you won't regret it
Bicycle Paths of the Dolomites (based in one hotel)
Loved the hotel and the area. The hotel, the food, the spa - was a highlight. The bike tour group ( manages the bikes and the routes, the shuttles ) is separate from the hotel. The hotel helps with info and also does different guided bike tours ( their bike tours looked more rugged and guided hikes. We took a day off from the planned rides and did a hike - and a bus ride - it was so worth it. Heads up - Make sure you read all the forms and plans from the Biking company. There are the 5 days of rides planned. Two days you are on your own - out and back. One day, the bike company will shuttle you to the start ( the highest point). The other days, they could pick you up at the end of the ride -or you could train in. They decide which day is which and it could change. This was not my first organized bike vacation. I loved being at one hotel, their dinner plan. We got to know the area, the buses, trains to have options. E bikes also made this much easier.

great riding, great food
A Taste of Italy: Emilia-Romagna
Great way to see and feel the country and the food was amazing. the restaurants selected by the tour company were all excellent, just a little too much food. the bike paths were also wonderful with very little street riding and when we did need to ride on the street, the traffic was light. The tour company could have given us better instructions regarding use of the GPS and odometer. We were never able to get the odometers to work. we missed the parmigiana tasting since the GPS instructions were not clear. the GPS loop rides were also not clear and we missed the turn offs on a few occasions.

Great way to experience Sardinia
Sardinia: A Mine of Memories
The Sardinia: A Mine of Memories tour was great. We choose a guided trip and the two guides we were assigned were great fun, becoming family. Our group of 17 ranged from casual/infrequent riders to advanced, some on road bikes, hybrids, and some on e-bikes (all bikes in great shape), and it proved to be a great combination with everyone happy. Two days of significant elevation gain (which became known as "beautiful views") , others along rolling mostly coastal or scenic roads, all with fun breaks for coffee, lunch, gelato and beer. Great dinners and accommodations were all good. Sardinian drivers were really courteous in the short heavily trafficked stretches. Our second tour with Biketours.com and we will be back.

The best way to see Puglia!
Apulia and Basilicata: Alberobello to Lecce
A great experience riding a bike thru the heel of Italy. A great way to see the country and ride off all those calories. I ate like a Roman, rode my bike like a Maserati and enjoyed La Dolce Vita.

An excellent bike tour to include
Tuscany Getaway: 4 Nights in Siena, Montalcino & Pienza
This was our first time in Italy and the self guided trip was and excellent way to experience all the charms and challenges of this amazing place. Everything from our briefing to the charming and very comfortable hotels was excellent and exceeded our expectations. The bike ride was suitably challenging with regular touring bikes, and proved to be an excellent workout. Towns and villages along the way were all an added bonus. Our tour hosts were excellent and even provided a ride back to Sienna to gather my car on the last day. Thank YOU!

Beautiful biking across 3 countries!
Dolomites to Trieste via Lake Bled at the Foot of the Julian Alps
A gorgeous trek through the Dolomites and the Julian Alps. Charming hotels, a well-designed route, and beautiful scenery, combined to make this a terrific trip. We improvised several times (e.g. choosing to ride instead of taking the transfer) and the tour company accommodated us without a problem. We had a couple of issues along the way (luggage handle broke off, e-bike fender needed adjustment at a bike shop) but otherwise the trip went off without a hitch. We took an extra day at Lake Bled which was well worth it. Overall, quite pleased with the bikes, the route, and the Hotels.

Umbria’s Green Valleys From the Pilgrimage Town of Assisi

Amazing trip!
Dolomites to Trieste via Lake Bled at the Foot of the Julian Alps
Great way to explore the boarder region amongst Italy, Austria and Slovenia. The scenery is amazing, and it is a great opportunity to enjoy some towns and places that are not widely seen by regular tourists.
Travel documentation supplied by the local tour company is very good with complete information about the route. I'd recommend the investing on the GPS too, as it helps a lot with navigation activity.
The accommodations and the included meals were really good, perfect for those who would like to spend some days away from crowd and large cities.
In summary, it was a great experience, I'm looking forward for another bike tour like this one.- What was the date of your tour?

Fabulous trip!
Dolomites to Trieste via Lake Bled at the Foot of the Julian Alps
Excellent cycling paths, gorgeous scenery, outstanding accommodations and delicious breakfasts. Our trip was in mid September and the weather was lovely. Our group of four had a few mechanical issues with the bicycles, but the local tour company was responsive and resolved the problems. Some of the maps and written directions were confusing especially in the larger towns which lacked bike path signs. Getting lost occasionally added to the adventure! Overall, we had a wonderful experience!

Retirement at its best
Innsbruck to Lake Garda Across the Southern Slopes of the Alps
This was our second trip with biketours.com and did they deliver. We had a great trip. The Bikes were excellent and Hotels were very nice. Great job. The only issues we had was finding the starting points in town. It was very challenging go say the least. A suggestion if I can: A pin on Google maps of starting point would have helped immensely. That aside it was the trip of a life time. Great work bike tours.com. Our appreciation for all those involved with setting this tour up.

Excellent trip but GPS needs some updating
Dolomites to Trieste via Lake Bled at the Foot of the Julian Alps
This was a wonderful trip. The bikes were excellent, most of the scenery was stunning, the hotels were good for the most part. The one challenge we had was many of the directions have not been updated to reflect bike path construction and restaurant closures. The other issue was the distances we actually traveled did not match the distances on the downloaded GPS. One day we rode ~100 km, when the GPS said we would ride ~ 65 to 70 km.
Still, we had an amazing, nicely challenging adventure and saw some of the most beautiful countryside that we wouldn’t have seen if we weren’t on bicycles. We would recommend this trip. -

This was a beautiful bike tour on bike paths of the Dolomites. So nice to not have to navigate on busy roads. Each day we either started or ended with a shuttle or train. Some of the paths were paved, others were gravel. Spectacular mountain scenery.

Beautiful tour through the countryside. Lots of old mountaintop towns to explore (Assisi, Montefalco), beautiful scenery, and lots of agriculture (olive trees, vineyards, vegetables, tobacco). Food prepared by Carla at Countryhouse Casco dell'Acqua was the best we had in Italy.

Great rides, not so great organization
Bicycle Paths of the Dolomites (based in one hotel)
The rides to beautiful valleys was amazing and very enjoyable. The company FunActive was not well organized in terms of transfers to start or end points. Bicycles required better maintenance and bicycles were misplaced by the company on the first day. In hindsight if I was to do this again, I would book my own hotel, rent the bikes for a week and do the routes independently.
