A wonderful tour of Umbria Valley
Umbria’s Green Valleys From the Pilgrimage Town of Assisi
My friends and I have completed two similar bike tours (bike rental, luggage moved, etc). This was our first tour in Italy. Previously we had done a point A to point B ride. This tour consisted of only three location bases with day trips out and back. The routing was done in an attempt to keep us off as many of the main roads as possible. There were times when going onto busy streets was unfortunately necessary. The area does have some hills. None of us are avid riders and we managed the journey which did include walking up some of the grades. The maps provided mostly clear directions (we had a couple missed turns). It's a good idea to have a phone with a map as a back up. The accommodations were excellent: clean rooms, friendly staff, and great food.
The owner of the tour company personally met with us, went over the maps, and made any needed adjustments on the bikes before our journey. The bicycle were of good quality (mine was a 27 speed hybrid) and we were provided with one pannier for each bike.

One of the most beautiful rides I have taken in Europe
Salzburg to Vienna, Lakes Option
I am so glad I elected to ride from Salzburg to Vienna rather than Passau. The ride was beautiful, mountains coming down to the bike trails and Alpine lakes to ride along. It was not difficult for the average rider and a ranking of easy 2 is fair. From Linz to Vienna was also very nice and it gave us enough river riding to make the trip a good combination of mountains and riverside.

Enjoyable ride through Slovenia
Emerald Tour of Slovenia’s Gems
Very much enjoyed our bike ride. Flawless support and organization by the local partner as well as the GPS map enabled us to enjoy the ride without the hassles. Beautiful countryside and very friendly people and excellent accommodations. Only slight improvement would be a bridge detour and new road out of Muggia that were not on our GPS that would have been helpful.

Amazing experience!
Greek Island Adventure by Bike and Sail
What an incredible trip! The team on board was fantastic — always thinking ahead and making everything smooth. The atmosphere was warm and friendly, and the cabins were super comfy and spotless.
We cycled 20–60 km a day, exploring stunning views of Greece — olive groves, crystal-clear sea, quiet roads, and amazing beaches you couldn’t reach on foot. Morning yoga helped stretch our muscles and get ready for the day.
The food was incredible — never the same twice, with choices between fish and meat, plus fresh berries, fruits, and treats. Highlights included lamb and langoustines. October was perfect — great weather, gorgeous nature, and peaceful towns. Highly recommend this tour for anyone who loves cycling, nature, and the sea!

Great way to see Belgium and Netherlands!
Bruges – Amsterdam by Bike and Boat
Being our first bike tour, we didn't know what to expect going into the tour, but we had a great time. The whole team was amazing from the first day to the last day. Having dietary restrictions, they were more than accommodating and didn't make it seem like a burden. All the stops along the way were great and our guide was so knowledgeable. Great bike ride through historic sites, splendid scenery, and fantastic food.
Apulia - Heel of Italy
We did a self-guided tour with e-bikes–and were happy with our arrangements throughout. We picked this ride because of the UNESCO World Heritage Sites and the fact we hadn't visited this part of Italy. It's so cool to bike through agricultural areas, small towns and the regional centers. A highlight was the stay in Masseria Bosco in the middle of the vast olive orchards–a lux experience and fine restaurant in an historic agricultural property. All the city hotels were great, too. We loved both Matera and Alberobello and took some extra time there on our own. The ride from sea to sea (Adriatic to Ionian) was truly spectacular. And, wow, the food! In short, the whole experience was well-curated. Anyone wanting to try a bike tour would be wise to start here with the expert recommendations and support by biketours.com and their local partners.

Lots of riding, gorgeous scenery, simpatico group
Dordogne Valley: Between the Dordogne and Lot Rivers
My husband and I both very much enjoyed this tour. He especially appreciated the riding and the food; I especially delighted in the charming villages and French countryside. We both loved our guide, Mike, who was a lot of fun. We also liked the other 8 cyclists in the group. Of the 10 cyclists in the group, 8 were in good shape and we all enjoyed the riding. The two that were not expecting the riding to be challenging did not enjoy the hilly days. BikeTours got it right: you can manage without being fit, but you won’t enjoy the hills very much. The hotels were charming. The food was amazing! Gourmet multi-couse dinners were included every night, and breakfasts were very good - the croissants always fresh. We will definitely look into taking another Chain Gang tour.

Very enjoyable bike ride around Lake Constance
Lake Constance Bicycle Path
This was our first bike trip, but won't be our last - what a great experience! We loved exploring the towns the towns around Lake Constance via our ebikes! (This was our first time on ebikes and I'd highly recommend those as well)
The hotels were all excellent - we couldn't have chosen better for ourselves. Our luggage was always waiting for us upon arrival each day. The information on what to see was very helpful.
We made a couple changes to our itinerary which were handled effortlessly by BikeTours. We appreciated all the assistance in initially planning our trip and thank everyone who helped me put this together. We had a great trip.

Great Trip
Cycling Spain's Ebro River
Absolutely beautiful route with good places to stay. Significant climbs every day made the E Assist bikes a necessity for our group. (We had 6 people about 60 years old and in quite good shape). It was unseasonably hot for our week and a number of the smaller hotels in the mountains did not have AC. I'm not sure how often that would be an issue but sleeping was tough for a few nights. The local crew was friendly, timely and helpful. I would recommend the trip.

Great bike paths and scenery
Dolomites to Trieste via Lake Bled at the Foot of the Julian Alps
The trip was great - it was a beautiful area. It was the first time we had used e-bikes, and the bikes we had were top notch. There were a few more hills than we expected, but we didn't mind with the e-bikes! The app we had for our tour was also excellent. We took the high road into Trieste to avoid the traffic, and was glad we did.

Water, windmills and tall skinny houses
Amsterdam to Bruges: Cycling through South Holland and Zeeland
Loved everything about this trip. The route took us through beautiful areas, all avoiding cars and large roads. Accommodations were excellent and the choice of towns and small cities for overnight stays were charming and worth our while. Distinctive too. Bikes were incredible! All in all, an excellent bike trip.

Amazing Cycling Adventure
Three Lakes Tour: From Geneva to Annecy
This 4 day/5 night cycling trip was the highlight of our summer trip to Europe. The variety of beautiful scenery during each day's bike ride was amazing. We loved stopping mid-day on days 2 and 4 to swim in the gorgeous lakes we were cycling next to (also don't miss the small lake next to the hotel at the end of your ride on day 3.)
We chose the A level accommodations and each was comfortable and quirky, with very friendly staff/hosts. And the local bike tour company (cyclomundo) did a very thorough job of reviewing maps, demonstrating the GPS, checking our bike fit, and answering questions on the first morning.
Two recommendations, consider carrying a picnic lunch with you on your daily ride (baguette, cheese, fruit, chocolate) so you can stop and eat at any of the picturesque places along the route. Also, your final stop, the city of Annecy, is a gem! If time and budget allow, plan to stay an extra day or two.- What was the date of your tour?

Fantastic Introduction to Ireland Countryside
Highlights of the Highlands: Donegal by E-bike
A wonderful way to experience Donegal County in Ireland!! In spite of high winds 2 days and some rain most days, the beauty of the landscape and the loveliness of the Irish people made it one of my all-time favorite bike trips. Moreover, the customer service provided by Ireland by Bike was top notch -- from the maps and GPS to the history and daily recommendations provided, everything was made easy and accessible. Definitely appreciated the e-bikes given the number of hills and strong breezes on the coastline!! The quality of the B&B's did vary by location, but all were clean and hosts were friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend to my friends and family!!

An Italian Adventure!
Tuscany and Umbria: Cycling in the Heart of Italy
Wow! What an incredible experience. We loved exploring the countryside and smaller towns of Italy and soaking in the local culture. Make sure you have spent time training as the biking is challenging, but well worth it. The app for the routes was easy to use and follow and the bikes we rented were high quality.
