We enjoyed every minute on and off the boat! Great covering of sites on the Danube! The meals was excellent, our compliments to the chef! The staff on board was very friendly and efficient, especially in the rooms and in the dining room! The Swiss Crown totally fulfilled our needs except for the insufficient wifi!
The explanation of routes could improve, as well as the provided app, that kept disappearing. The maps in the book was not well displayed, which made it difficult to follow while cycling along. I suggest a bigger sized booklet or a daily map!- What was the date of your tour?

We had an amazing trip on the Swiss Crown. The food was above and beyond! All the staff were friendly, knowledgeable and very helpful. The bikes were in great shape and checked daily. Everything was clean and organized. The wifi was unreliable and app provided for navigation didn’t always work for us. I was happy to have preloaded the routes on my Naviki app. We had purchased an e-sim which worked well. Having said that we would do it again, and probably will book a different trip with this company. They were awesome

This was my first experience with a bike and barge trip. The tour operator did a first class job. The crew were very professional. The food was delicious. Our guides were very knowledgeable about the history of the places we visited. They kept us safe in areas where the terrain was challenging or where there was a bit of traffic. The cycling was as described as level 1. The experiences along the way were educational and highlighted the Italian culture. Overall a wonderful experience!

Fabulous and exceeded expectations

From the moment we arrived on board I felt welcomed. The entire staff went out of their way to answer questions, offer help and with a smile. The captain took his job very serious, but also had a sense of humor. Our director, Leslie, kept us laughing as he presented valuable information on the boat, bike routes, city tours, etc. The actives on board like 70 & 80's music night and karaoke night were so much fun. I have not danced and laughed so much in years. I will be going again and have already told many friends they need to book this trip!

Every day we were treated to a delicious menu from Breakfast to Dinner and dessert. High Tea every afternoon with treats like Black Forest Cake and Cheesecake after spending a day exploring ancient towns and castles by bike. Our cruise director Reinhold saved the day, and gave us a daily run down on options for tours in larger cities. Staff overall was wonderful and attentive. Bike pathways are lovely along the river, highly recommend this trip!. Plus, the Swiss Crown is in great shape, very comfortable.

Always wanted to do this type of trip but can never find anyone to do it with. Went with a friend and we are so impressed with the trip we are planning another one in 2026. I have traveled all over the world and this ranks up there as one of my favorite.

Wonderful adventure. Strongly consider e-bike option due to strong headwinds switching between north and south. This is a new trip and we were on the maiden voyage, so the guides were becoming familiar with the routes available. Great food and ambiance.

we thoroughly enjoyed this trip, from the greeting on the first day to the tearful goodbyes on the last. We can’t say enough about the crew on the Magnifique IV, they were so busy yet did a great job!! Our tour guides for the bikes were a blast, made the kilometers melt away. We would do again in a heartbeat!!

Captain Willy and crew were extremely friendly, attentive and helpful. Our bike tour guide Michela was very safety conscious as well as informative and inclusive, all done with her Italian humour! The schedule was packed but never rushed. It helped that our group was cohesive and respectful of each other…and punctual! The food was excellent and our bow berth beyond expectations.

Enjoyed the trip. We enjoyed the scenery. We enjoyed the barge. The floors of the barge are stunning. All the personnel were wonderful and I appreciated there pitch-in attitude. My only suggestion in regarding the biking, is that because E bikes now allow folks who are not bikers on these trips, that the groups always be divided into two. That first day when we had such a large group going through busy Ghent was uncomfortable. Those at the front asked to wait at corners, waited over 15 minutes isolated and it was not clear if we were going to have the Support to find the boat. I suggest also a discussion about not letting big gaps form within the same group, so those being supportive at the corners are not waiting. ( I’m not suggesting that they ride right behind someone, just not perhaps multiple hundred yard gaps. Really loved the tour.

This trip was so fun! Meeting new people, being active during the day, and eating three meals together was like being in an adult summer camp. The staff was incredibly responsive to our needs - from the guide, to the captain and crew, and chef on board. The meals were incredible - and some of the best food I have ever had. It was a great way to be introduced to biking - amazing!

We thoroughly enjoyed our trip from Bruges to Amsterdam aboard the Magnifque IV. The crew was amazing and very responsive and charming. The routes took us through incredible scenery and the tidbits shared by the guides kept us engaged. There wasn't a bad thing about the trip and we can't stop talking about it to our friends. We are looking at which trip to take next. Thank you for a wonderful experience and travel adventure.

A wonderful week of fresh air, exercise, amazing food, beautiful scenery, and great people.
We cycled through small towns, across farmland, and into large cities. The scenery was spectacular. Having to stop to wait for 100 cows to move from one field to another was a quirky countryside highlight. Traveling down 31 metres by elevator, then cycling through a 521 metre long tunnel under the River Scheldt, and returning to surface level on escalators was a large city highlight.
All of the crew were dedicated, cheerful, and knowledgeable. One of our guides was from Belgium (Jordy) and other from the Netherlands (Hetty) and the friendly banter between them was fun. Hetty shared stories relating to many sights and Jordy bought us local treats to taste.
The host (Vio) and hostess (Sophie) were always ready to help out and were incredibly kind. The chef (Steven) prepared amazing meals and there was always delicious food available. No losing weight, despite the physical activity. When we returned to the barge or watched it sail by as we rode, the crew smiled and waved at us, making us feel like family.

Very good ride. So much to see along the way and relatively easy. Planning with biketours.com worked well and our back and forth communication during the planning process was as expected. Pre-travel materials were accurate, and we were well prepared upon arrival in Europe. In country, Boat Bike Tours did a nice job. The boat was clean and well-staffed with friendly people. The bikes worked well, however we were not able to bring our own pedals and saddles as we have been able to swap them out on previous rides with biketours.com. Apart from blowing out the bearings on a pedal, we had no issues with the bikes. We went self guided and the directions via the Ride with GPS app were spot on and accurate. Highlights, bathrooms, restaurants along the route were highlighted and worth the visit. We liked having options on some days as well with a couple choices on rides. Though I enjoy staying in the different small European cities along the way and having our luggage transported on previous rides, the boat worked well, especially for those that wanted to take a day off due to rain or winds. For the most part, the boat parked in excellent locations making it easy to explore on your own. There was no curfew on the boat, so you could come and go as you please for the most part. Part of the trip is not riding, but on the boat. This is primarily through industrial areas, which was interesting because we traveled through multiple locks. We traveled with two vegans, and were told during planning process that they could not accommodate these diets, but the staff were eventually able to make vegan meals for the two which was not expected, but welcome none the less (thank you Firas on board the Fluvius!). Note that helmets were included on the boat free of charge, so don't pay the 10 Euro to rent one.
