A wonderful trip
UNESCO Sites of Albania
We had a wonderful trip our guide Roxan was fantastic, very attentive and helpful. The route was very good, with not too much traffic. Our hotels were generally good and the food was excellent. We had a great trip.

Great trip through Southern Albania
UNESCO Sites of Albania
I thoroughly enjoyed the UNESCO Sites of Albania cycling tour. Our guide Andrea was awesome! He was very eager to share his knowledge of Albania, its culture and history. He was also very friendly, helpful and supportive of tour participants. The hotels and restaurants were all good, food was delicious. I particularly enjoyed the two nights that we spent at local guest houses up in the mountains: family run and very friendly, with amazing local fresh food. The bicycles they provided were in good condition. The sag van driver and mechanic Rimi was great. He promptly and skillfully addressed any mechanical issues with the bicycles and was very supportive of any riders who needed to ride some sections in the van.
My only criticism of the tour is that communication prior to the trip was minimal. Also, though not my personal experience, some of the other participants had been given misleading information about the difficulty of the trip from TO's administrative staff prior to the trip.

Beauty on the Bicycle
UNESCO Sites of Albania
From start to finish, our guides Tani and Tani made it a memorable worry free vacation! We tried so many ethnic foods and the 3 meals were substantial and delicious each day. The e-biking was breathtaking with beauty and maybe some cows, donkeys or sheep around a corner.
Riding through the countryside was like stepping back in time with children saying hello from their front yards and the farmers working in their fields.
The UNESCO sites were interesting and informational.
Each turn was a new view with valleys, mountains and beautiful blue water. The routes were safe with our guides letting us know when traffic would be busier on roads. I was happy to have an e-bike with the elevation and knowing I could make this trip as easy or hard as I wanted.
Lodging was very nice with one of my favorite days was staying at a farm in the countryside. If you are thinking about this trip, book it.

First bike trip ever
UNESCO Sites of Albania
I did the unguided tour with a friend of mine. This tour was a fantastic way to discover the wonderful country of Albania. The Albanian people that we met were warm and welcoming, and the scenery was awesome. I did the tour with an e-bike and the level of difficulty was quite manageable. I don't think I would have been able to do this tour without the e-bike assistance, although we did meet some people who did the tour without e-bikes. The hotels we stayed in, while not first class, were quite comfortable and well located. The trip was well organized and went smoothly.

Experience Albania

This was the perfect way to see and learn about Albania. Our guide, Juli, was knowledgeable and enthuastic about his country and shared his love of Albania throughtout the tour. His leadership style was inclusive and entertaining as each individual became a valuable member of our cycling group. The tour covered varied terrains that included open countryside, orchards, mountain view vistas and shoreline. We were rewarded with delicious family style meals that were fresh and authentic to Albania.

Felt like we were able to see many different parts of the country and you can’t beat traveling by bike. The tour companies were great to work with as we had some travel challenges to work around. Inland the roads were scenic and quiet for riding, while the coast was stunning.

Wonderful biking trip

Amazing way to explore Albania. We were self-guided, but the guides were helpful in ensuring communicating with us to ensure that our luggage was being transported. Hotels ranged greatly in quality, some were great, all were adequate. Location of hotels was great as well. Bikes were great quality and had no issues (one flat tire). Biking was on roads, some were quite busy. Would have been nice to have more off road biking, but I'm not sure that Albania has those facilities. First bike tour for all of us, and I would definitely do more.

Informative, varied, engaging, active tour
UNESCO Sites of Albania
The tour, although a group of 22, was well-organized, orderly and congenial. The Guide and Driver/Bike Mechanic were experienced, knowledgeable and patient. The route gave a good overview of the South’s historical sites and the guide’s pride in his homeland was charming. Riding a regular bike, one of 4 (the other 18 were on e-bikes), I never felt left behind and always had enough time to rest at our regular stops. The restaurants served delicious, nutritious meals to fuel us and the route was largely on quiet roads with challenging, but not too daunting ascents and exhilarating descents.

We couldn't have asked for much more on this trip. Cycling through breathtaking scenery was a fantastic way to experience Albania. Julian, our guide was bursting with knowledge, energy and enthusiasm, and ensured that everything ran smoothly without making anyone feel rushed. The roads were in very good condition and there was very limited traffic for the most part. The time on the bikes each day was perfect, giving challenges but also stops to allow everyone to drink in the scenery. The accommodations were all very clean, and had comfy beds. They varied in style which allowed us to have a unique experience each night.
I am an intermediate cyclist. With an ebike I had absolutely no problem with some of the challenging climbs and was able to set the power to suit my ability. We were also lucky to have an amazing group of people from around the world which was lovely.

Cycling in Albania is a must!
UNESCO Sites of Albania
The UNESCO Sites of Albania tour is fantastic! From the beautiful sites of the countryside and towns to the people of Albania this trip is a must do. Most of us on the guided tour had e-bikes as this tour is challenging for regular bike enthusiasts. Our guide Julian was the best! He was very knowledgeable about cycling in Albania and history of his country. He made sure everyone was comfortable on the tour. Julian’s dad drove the support van and both he and Julian made sure the bikes were in top condition for cycling. The van was also available if you’re unable to cycle one day. Fortunately only one day was rained out so Julien arranged a van to take everyone along the route safely to the next hotel. This was our first guided tour (we’ve done self guided before) and we would do them again!

First Bike Tour
Innsbruck to Salzburg: Through the Alps Along River Cycle Trails
My husband really prepared for this trip, and I was glad he did. Biking is the only way to go if you want to experience every second of your adventure. We both like to participate, so we thought touring in a car was not a good option. The things you see, people you meet, and experiences you have are great! Be prepared for rain and thankful when it does not. The directions were good, but the English version was not always correct. If you are worried that you won't be able to make it on a bicycle, rent an e-bike!

Unbelievably fabulous!

We were surprised at how lovely the week long trip was for us a first time bike vacationers. It had just the right amount of challenge and comfort combined. The weather was lovely and the landscape perfect for this kind of biking.

Austrian Springtime
Innsbruck to Salzburg: Through the Alps Along River Cycle Trails
Everything went very well. The tour operator met all the schedules for baggage transfer and mountain shuttle with no difficulty. We particularly enjoyed the half-board meal arrangements which provided some contact with other travelers.
The trails are paved, in good condition, easy to follow, and provide an abundance of local scenery. However, if you do not speak German, be sure to bring your phrase book! Most of the people speak at least some English but the road and warning signs are not often translated.

A great bike ride
Innsbruck to Salzburg: Through the Alps Along River Cycle Trails
My husband and I took this ride in late June 2017 as we were in the region for a wedding. It was an absolutely fantastic way to see a beautiful part of the world. The towns were charming, the scenery beautiful, and the people friendly. This trip is definitely not well-suited for anyone who is looking for a heavy dose of nightlife as the towns along the route are all fairly small. Think villages and ski towns.

Beautiful Austria!
Innsbruck to Salzburg: Through the Alps Along River Cycle Trails
This was a wonderful tour for a "beginner" like me! The countryside was gorgeous, the bike paths varied, and the extra sights mentioned in the navigation book were easy to find and well-worth stopping to see. Everything organised by the tour company ran like clockwork: the bike delivery, hotel reservations, luggage transfer and mountain-pass transfer.
The three of us on this self-guided tour did not always agree on the direction to take, which led to quite a few "navigation discussions" and a few wrong turns, but that actually added to the adventure of the experience. Two days out of our five ride days, including the longest day, were in the rain (pretty heavy rain, in fact). Judging by the printed material, this is not unusual for the area, so be prepared!
A great experience - the area, the ride and the organisation!
