Family trip to Denmark
Southern Fyn: A Tour Around Denmark’s Fairytale Island
We are a family of 4, kids are 10 and 12.
We usually bike a lot and the climate and terrain were very easy for the kids to handle. It was a beautiful country to bike around, with lovely paths, rolling hills and wild blackberries abound along the trails. All of the cities were charming. The accomodations were nice, we stayed in a hostel in Svenborg that was very lively and a fun change for our kids to be around Danish kids. Bike helmets ended up included so that was a nice surprise. The bikes worked great. Navigation was easy to follow and the recommended App was helpful to not have to pull the map out constantly. Fantastic bike tour

This tour had it all. Stunning scenery, beautiful rides, and interesting villages. The tour operator made it special because she set up knowledgeable guides where we learned about the areas we were visiting. Unique experiences and variety. The hotels were charming. Everything was perfect.

Stunning Natural Beauty!
Bergen to Sognefjord: Cycle Norway's Greatest Landscapes
As very special cycling experience… rain or shine, Norway delivers! We loved the rolling terrain, ferry system and the excitement of discovering the unique charms of the characterful, remote villages on the Sogneford route. We especially loved the older hotels including; the Kviknes Hotell in Ballestrand and our favourite, the Walacher Jotel in Solvorn. Both provided old work ambience with modern efficiency. The Walacher Hotel was a very special dining experience and not to be missed both breakfast and dinner. Our last day cycling on the “ romantic route” was lovely and very memorable from the ferry to Urnes, cycling chug up the very steep hill to the old stave church and the challenge of the unlit tunnels. All experiences added to our sense of accomplishment and are now part of our story of cycling in Norway. We will return! Thank you to the warm welcome and care from your team.

A Natural Wonder
Bergen to Sognefjord: Cycle Norway's Greatest Landscapes
We had an incredible experience on this bike tour. The trip was so thoughtfully planned by the local tour company. Not only are you biking along some of the most beautiful natural landscape in the world, you are staying at iconic historic hotels (complete with delicious meals included!) and experiencing so many facets of Norwegian culture. Highly recommend! This is my 3rd bike tour and I could not recommend enough
I will note two things:
1. we lucked out with beautiful weather. Perfect sunny, blue sky days for our whole trip. If it were raining and cold, it would still be fun but just know that the weather is unpredictable
2. The cycling occurred on roads shared with motorists. 95% of the time this was totally fine because the car traffic was so infrequent, but keep this in mind if you prefer not to share the road with cars.- What was the date of your tour?

Fantastic bike tour through the Swedish countryside

Very knowledgeable and experienced tour guide. However it would have been more enjoyable to have had the opportunity to spend more time exploring two of the villages. Maybe a two night stay in both Trosa and Mariefred. The tour of Gripsholm Castle was hurried and disappointed that two of the churches we stopped at during our ride weren’t open! Overall a wonderful time! Dieter and Michele were both very accommodating and nice.

Dieter and McKaela were fantastic. They ensured a flawless week. From bag service to roadside picnics to history lessons, they absolutely knocked it out of the park.
My only suggestion is we had fish and small potatoes 4 mights in a row. It was disappointing not being able to select our entree at dinner. Even 2-3 choices would've been acceptable and we could've provided this in advance.

Wonderful Trip

This tour through central Sweden was unbelievably perfect. This is an exceptional bike tour company. E-bikes, scenic route, hotels, and support were all first class. Tour guides were very knowledgeable and accommodating. Support from Bikes Tours in the US was great from start to finish. Highly recommend!

Beautiful scenery, quiet roads, a well-organized tour.
Stockholm and Sörmland
Our custom group tour of 20 was guided with most meals included and luggage transfer. Our bicycle tour guide, who biked with us each day, and his assistant were experienced, competent leaders, and paid close attention to every detail. Our bicycle guide had a good knowledge of Sweden's history and culture and provided us with information along the route. The luggage van driver prepared 3 gourmet picnic lunches, some of the best ever on a bicycle tour. Our 2 guides went above and beyond keeping our group well-informed of each day's activities and on schedule. We enjoyed having both guides join us for dinner. We were met by a local tour leader for 2 castle tours and an excellent harbor tour of Stockholm was organized at the end of the bicycle tour. The guest houses in the countryside were lovely 4* accommodations. The food was excellent and well presented. The routes were safe on secondary roads and paved bicycle paths for the most part, with some roads gravel and packed dirt. If I could have changed anything, it would be less gravel roads. Most of our group did not object. Seven riders in our group rode hybrid bicycles, others requested an electric assistant bicycle. The terrain was gently rolling with a few surprise short hills. Either way, it's a very pleasant ride with picturesque scenery. There were no complaints from our group on this tour.

This was a trip of lifetime! The Trip Leader was very kind, caring and conscientious. His colleague also provided outstanding support and assistance throughout the trip. The riding was beautiful, safe and an excellent pace. The bikes, hotels, food and historical and cultural tours/visits were all beyond excellent!

Enchanting tour of Fyn!

The lime green bikes were easy to operate, the route was clear, the hotels comfortable. We loved the easy self-guided pace and the places we visited in Funen. This was my first experience with Bike Tours and I would totally do another self-guided biking trip with them. Great memories!

The Tour of Denmark's island of Fyn
Southern Fyn: A Tour Around Denmark’s Fairytale Island
The routes were well marked, easy to follow and mostly on bike trails or low traffic roads. The bike was a full suspension mountain bike. A little over kill, but it did come in handy a couple of times. The accommodations were centrally located in the towns. The towns are charming and historical. The best day was the tour of the Island of Earo. The Danes are the happiest people on Earth and are very glorious. I will definitely visit Denmark again. I did not get to meet any representative of the tour company.

A few mistakes with our booking. The last night Comwell Portside did not have our booking. They straightened it out fortunately.
The downloaded electronic trail quide was incorrect for two of the hotel locations we were to stay at.Still the trip was more than I expected Absolutely, lovely!

Copenhagen and Zealand is a delight. We did the independent tour. Biketours did what it is supposed to do: it booked good hotels, it moved the suitcases every day. and it delivered good sturdy bikes. that is why I came back to this company for a third tour.

Great trip in spite of challenges

We thoroughly enjoyed,this,trip in spite of illness, injury and weather challenges. While we were not able to complete the entire bicycle tour, the days we did ride were very good. The local tour company was outstanding, going above and beyond in time of need. While some hotels were better than others, all were very comfortable, and we had some outstanding meals along the way. Route guidance material was good, however the maps were a bit difficult to read because they were a bit small. We would definitely recommend this tour to others.

Great Cycling and Very Scenic!!!

We would definitely recommend this cycling tour. The scenery and sights were beautiful, and diverse, and we were never too far from the picturesque coastline. The cycling was mainly along bike paths and relatively easy with some minor hills. The breakfasts were abundant with multiple food options, and we could easily find good restaurants for lunch along the way and dinners. As with any cycling trip, some hotels were better than other but all comfortable. The company representative was extremely helpful. She spent a good amount of time with us prior to the tour explaining the route and maps which was really helpful. The cycling signage in Denmark is very good, and we didn’t rely much on the navigation materials. Our teenage son also really enjoyed the trip.
