Fantastic Trip
Denmark and Sweden by Sail and Bike
This was our 5th bike trip and by all measures, the best. Denmark and Sweden are beautiful this time of year with everything blooming. We can’t say enough about the boat’s crew and our guides. The food was a 5 star experience at every meal! Biking was a dream as well, with perfectly paved bike paths well away from car traffic. While there was some elevation change, our e-bikes made for easy and enjoyable rides. During the week we made numerous stops at palaces, forts and several beautiful cathedrals. One of the week’s highlights was a day of sailing on our 3 masted ship. When all 14 sails were up it was so much fun. We recommend this trip to anyone looking for a great adventure.

Berlin to Copenhagen interesting and okay
Berlin – Copenhagen
This tour could have been so much better if we had better bikes that were better maintained. Additionally, we had to convert all the gpx files to Ride with GPS ourselves. The routes were good but it would have been nice if more places to stop and eat or grab something were indicated along the way. Also more things to see should have been available. The books and maps were cumbersome.

Fantastic views and the local support.
Bergen to Sognefjord: Cycle Norway's Greatest Landscapes
This was a beautiful trip start to finish. Merete, the local operator, was fantastic and even personally drove us to the airport when we returned our bikes. They were wonderful people and very accommodating.
The bikes were in great condition and performed without any issues. The waterfalls and fjords were gorgeous from start to finish and the terrain was very manageable with only slight hills for the most part. Accommodations were charming. I would recommend this trip to anyone.- Countries included in this tour?

Nice tour
Denmark and Sweden by Sail and Bike
Pros- beautiful sailing ship, attentive crew
Cons- paced for e-bikes, rides through urban areas - ★★★★★ Shannon Ramos
Great trip!
Denmark and Sweden by Sail and Bike
Loved experiencing sailing on a tall ship. The captain and crew were super nice and the food was phenomenal. Kudos to Chef Pete!
Denmark is so picturesque and a fabulous place for biking. The two guides were very personable and helpful but they were not locals. (The entire crew is Dutch.) We had many stops and turn arounds as the guides tried to figure out the routes. While that was frustrating, they were so nice and funny that it became a running joke between them and the group.
The e-bikes were fantastic. Easy to learn and use. - ★★★★★ Lindsey and Janice
Great but we wish we controlled the weather😀
Berlin – Copenhagen
It really was an excellent tour. Between the GPS file and the maps, navigation was pretty easy. Despite having to back track once for a total of 5 Kms, the cycling was straight forward, the scenery varied and pretty with so many flowers in bloom.
Generally, distances were good but our longest day, the last, 90 plus kms, had the most things to stop and see and we missed out on a couple castles etc. This after already taking the shorter less scenic route. Rødvig to Copenhagen, in our opinion needs rethinking.
We used the company’s standard touring bikes. We are both in our late 60’s and we found them reliable and rolled along at a 20 kph pace very nicely.
Hotels were all good, however, location choice were not always great. For instances, Stege the hotel was 6 kilometres past the town in the middle of an area of no services, costing riders 12 extra kms. Also the hotel in Copenhagen was a 50 minute ride from the time you entered the city to the far side of the city. This again was our longest riding day, and though it was relatively easy city riding, the time constraint of the day was a little frustrating (8 am start-7 pm finish at hotel).
We would highly recommend this tour and loved the city of Rostock, hotel at the brick factory, loads of history and farming, and seeing so many small towns along the way. In addition, you have the option to go off course and discover even more cool areas with limited extra distance.

Bike/Sail adventure
Denmark and Sweden by Sail and Bike
For the cabins-- NEED to include ladder or stool for the cabins (4 of them) that have one bed that is almost 120 cm high we had to move our cabin to cabin #2 which was much smaller. Without the stool or ladder I couldn't get in and out of bed safely

Fabulous Scenery and Fabulous Tour Operator
Bergen to Sognefjord: Cycle Norway's Greatest Landscapes
Norway's Sognefjord is a unique scenic experience, with dozens of 5,000+ foot mountains rising next to the water and charming small towns dotting the coast. And the fjord has more waterfalls than we could count.
The tour's bike rides were mostly on coastal roads, without much traffic and with only modest hills. But what really made the trip special was the tour operator. Our guide Merete grew up in the area and has incredible local knowledge of the region and its history, as well as the friendliest and most helpful attitude. Highly recommended trip.

Fun way to explore some of Denmark and Sweden!
Denmark and Sweden by Sail and Bike
We had a wonderful time. We enjoyed our guide and he did a great job. We only would’ve loved to hear more history of various parts of the country we were in.
The boat is cozy, but it works. - ★★★★★ JS May
Great bike ride
Berlin – Copenhagen
Good way to experience Germany and Denmark. Bike was a bit funky. Route was fabulous. With a Garmin, navigating was easy. Without would have been difficult.

Fun mix of bike & boat
Denmark and Sweden by Sail and Bike
This was our third biketours trip and it was a great one. The scenery wasn't as awe inspiring as the Dolomites trip, and the historical sights weren't as strong as the Catalonia trip, but it was a pleasant trip in two great countries.
The rides weren't difficult, the boat was fun, the food was great. - ★★★★★ Libby Bergman
Fantastic bike tour
Bergen to Sognefjord: Cycle Norway's Greatest Landscapes
This tour had it all. Stunning scenery, beautiful rides, and interesting villages. The tour operator made it special because she set up knowledgeable guides where we learned about the areas we were visiting. Unique experiences and variety. The hotels were charming. Everything was perfect.

Stockholm Round Trip July 2025
Stockholm Round-Trip Across Swedish History
The route was generally good although leaving Stockholm by cycling alongside a busy highway was a bit uncomfortable. We had to backtrack couple of kilometers because the trip notes did not mention a road closure near Drottningholms palace; according to a worker there the road had been closed for several weeks. The hotels were good or excellent, the navigation app worked well. We were disappointed that the final day of cycling would require us to reach a train station by early afternoon; consequently we did not cycle that day although we would have liked to have done so. Also we were not made aware that the bike tour company has a tighter bag weight limit (20 Kg) than most airlines.

Enjoyable Cycle Trip Through Rural Sweden
Stockholm Round-Trip Across Swedish History
This trip was well designed to expose the rider to rural Sweden as well as some historical highlights. The length and hilliness of the individual segments allowed for five good days’ worth of cycling, yet left enough in the tank to enjoy the evenings. The accommodations were comfortable and accessible to a number of dinner options. Breakfasts were mostly quite good. There routing via online map was excellent but for one minor glitch described below..
There were a couple of areas which need some improvement.
1. On the routes of two of the days, there were short sections where the roads were paved with extremely coarse gravel, which made cycling very difficult, especially for less powerful riders.
2. On the first day, there were well-placed lunch options in Ekerö which would be useful if put in the description.
3. The condition of several of the front bags was poor.
4. The route outlined in the phone app directed riders over the main road as it entered Trosa; the bike route was visible on the electronic map as well as the paper map, but those following the highlighted route would follow it over a busy road..
5. Cyclists would be well warned that the elevators in the Tumba station are very tight for e-bikes.
Overall, we enjoyed the trip immensely, and would recommend it to anyone who asked.

The REAL Greece Experience
Bergen to Sognefjord: Cycle Norway's Greatest Landscapes
A wonderful way to experience the sights, smells & sounds of a beautiful country - this is a very well put-together tour programme that has real variety. The various ferry rides were great fun - such quiet impressive vessels & so easy to use. The natural scenery is breath-taking & builds very nicely from the time you arrive in Bergen to the final day riding the amazing Romantic route - both so memorable. A special shout-out to the tour operator, who are the host providers for this ride. They are wonderful people - so warm, welcoming & helpful. They really did add significantly to our enjoyment of this highly recommended ride. Thank you so much for your superb hospitality. Staying in some of the most amazing hotels notably the Kviknes, Walaker & Hofslund Fjord was truly a very special unique experience. We will always remember the many swims we had in those stunning fiords & the awesome beauty of Norway.

Tour to remember
Berlin – Copenhagen
This trip delivered on every level I was looking for. The route, the distance to ride on each leg, the hotels and towns stopping at each leg all excellent. The people on the tour were fun and the people I met along the way were also helpful and friendly. The route notes and maps were good and the bike was also just right for me. So happy I took this tour.

Best way to learn and explore!
Berlin – Copenhagen
Traveling by e-bike through Germany and Denmark was the best way for us to travel. We are in our 70's and seldom cycle at home but having dedicated cycle paths and quiet roads with very understanding drivers makes this type of travel perfect. The huge expanses of agricultural fields, forests and waterways made cycling relaxing and a joy to see. The majority of accommodations were steeped in history and nearby historic sites.

Brutal weather but a great ride nonetheless
Berlin – Copenhagen
This was the trip I had wanted to go on since the first time I came across Bike Tours. The trip was filled with wonderful trails and scenery and although the length was quite long it was very doable, sans the weather! It happened that during our ride (7 of the 9 days) there were extremely high winds and rain several of the days. The wind made it so difficult to ride as most days had sustained winds between 20-30 mph (ALL DAY LONG). Thank the Lord for e-bikes. I never could have done this ride without one. That being said, it was still enjoyable. It was very easy to connect with the ferry to cross from Germany to Denmark and the small bike ferry we took to Bogo was smooth as well. On a couple of days we made our own route on google maps and ride with gps to shorten the days a bit. I would definitely recommend the trip and we all know we just deal with the weather given us. I was incredibly impressed with how well the trails are marked and maintained. We met some really nice travelers along the way and although we do self guided rides we seem to see the same people at the hotels at night. The young man who met us at our beginning hotel did the most thorough hand over of bikes than any other company we have worked with. The bike was a perfect fit and I was very happy with the local tour operator.

Best bike/sail trip yet!
Denmark and Sweden by Sail and Bike
We had 30 bikers, so the group was divided into two, and eventually evolved into three biking groups. Since many had downloaded the app, some people set off on their own. The e-bikes were wonderful and welcome since the winds off the coast could be strong! Although it rained on arrival day, it was sunny and 60’s every day thereafter. The biking varied- from urban streets to rural farm areas with few major inclines. Amazing traditional and contemporary architecture, climbing roses, peonies, and poppies everywhere. Danish and Swedish locals were friendly and helpful as needed.
The ship had 4 comfortable areas for people to hang out in; two inside and two outside. The sailing crew (all young women) were fabulous: friendly, helpful, and strong (!) when putting up the sails! Chef Pete was phenomenal- gourmet meals and fika daily at 4:00. The Captain was friendly and entertaining - very proud of his boat and crew, understandably.
The tour guides were friendly, fun, and incredibly helpful as bikers fell or had tire issues. In past bike/barge tours, the program guides provided more history, info, etc about each city, but we googled/translated info as needed.
I’ve been on 3 other bike/sail trips so assumed the compartments would be small; there were complaints among new tour participants expecting more room. - ★★★★★ John M.
