A perfect way to be introduced to the Dolomites!
Bicycle Paths of the Dolomites (based in one hotel)
The five day tour provided an excellent introduction to the spectacular scenery and splendour of the South Tyrol area. Staying at one hotel (The Hotel Germanic - excellent service all around), allowed us to focus on each day’s itinerary and not on packing up and moving on. The views biking out of Dobbiaco from all directions were breathtaking taking. We will be back!

Bicycle Paths of the Dolomites (based in one hotel)
Beautiful scenery with challenging, yet manageable routes through amazing scenery. We cycled with our two teenage daughters (14, 16) who loved every minute of it. Being based in one hotel was very nice, and each day proved to be an entirely different experience. We were grateful to have this beautiful opportunity

Bicycle Paths of the Dolomites (based in one hotel)
This was a great trip for our family of four to explore a beautiful area. The hotel was very comfortable and the included food was excellent. The local tour company was very helpful, although it was a little confusing to follow their paperwork so make sure to meet with them directly before you starts to confirm routes and days for transfers. It would also be helpful to check with the bike company to see if there are any route closures or events that may interfere with your trip. We had a large bike race which closed one of our trails one day which we didn’t know about and had to ride on the road and another day had a partial path closure of unknown reason. This could hav easily been avoided if the bike company had shared this information. The bikes were great but you may have to be proactive/assertive to determine details of route changes. All in all we really enjoyed our trip.

Stunningly Beautiful
Bicycle Paths of the Dolomites (based in one hotel)
This was my third trip with Bike Tours and it did not disappoint! The setting at Hotel Laurin in Toblach, Italy was stunningly beautiful! Every ride surrounded you with mountain views. Most of the paths were paved and well marked. There were only a few moments of confusion regarding the path to take. Hotel Laurin was very accommodating and served excellent gourmet meals every night and a hearty breakfast in the morning. At the hotel, there were several saunas and a steam room as well as an outdoor pool that awaited you at the end of your ride. The only concern I had was the initial confusion around the maps and rides that were self-guided as well as how these particular e-bikes operated (the e-bikes were great once you figured out the mechanics of them). An orientation by the rental bike company, Fun Active Tours, that provided the maps and bikes, would have been most helpful; and, I was not the only guest who thought an orientation would be helpful. I also had a problem with my attempt to rent a helmet from Fun Active Tours that responded in a less than accommodating way. However, Bike Tours considered my situation and responded most helpfully. In all, it was a fabulous trip which I would highly recommend! Elaine Kubicki

One of the best!
Bicycle Paths of the Dolomites (based in one hotel)
This was our 10th bike trip with Biketours and our group of 6 had a wonderful time. Basing in a single hotel was unique and worked well with no packing/unpacking. The routes and the app from Fun Active, the local provider were great. Scenery was spectacular. Would highly recommend Hotel Lauris with its included excellent spa (great after a day of biking) and their included nightly 7 course dinners (maybe too much food??). Taylor, from Bike Tours, was very responsive and helpful, as usual.

Do this trip - you won't regret it
Bicycle Paths of the Dolomites (based in one hotel)
Loved the hotel and the area. The hotel, the food, the spa - was a highlight. The bike tour group ( manages the bikes and the routes, the shuttles ) is separate from the hotel. The hotel helps with info and also does different guided bike tours ( their bike tours looked more rugged and guided hikes. We took a day off from the planned rides and did a hike - and a bus ride - it was so worth it. Heads up - Make sure you read all the forms and plans from the Biking company. There are the 5 days of rides planned. Two days you are on your own - out and back. One day, the bike company will shuttle you to the start ( the highest point). The other days, they could pick you up at the end of the ride -or you could train in. They decide which day is which and it could change. This was not my first organized bike vacation. I loved being at one hotel, their dinner plan. We got to know the area, the buses, trains to have options. E bikes also made this much easier.

The hotel was fantastic - the super friendly staff, the amenities, the food was amazing.
The bike centre is next door to the hotel, was so easy to pick up and return. Good quality bikes. The information (printed and in the app) was excellent. Beautiful scenery, fabulous hotel, good routes
Bicycle Paths of the Dolomites (based in one hotel)
It was a self-guided tour with residential stay at Belleview Hotel in Dobbiaco. Hotel boasts fantastic views and fine cuisine dining. Everyone was extremely helpful and welcoming. The routes were well-thought through, with a minibus taking us there or back on some days (saving the need to cycle uphill). Really enjoyed the scenery and the culture. The company app was a great help on finding the way too! The only thing that we were not absolutely happy about were the loose gravel tracks which at times were slippery and not safe for a less experienced cyclist - but the most of routes run (at least partially) on paved paths and are a joy to ride.

Dolomite Area Bike

Varied rides with extensions for adding more sites and miles. Great local company. Bikes are best for easy bike rides. Adding all extensions to day ride made it better for us. FYI, there are two names for everything here. One in German, one Italian. The culture and food is mostly German. This trip begins in Niederdorf/Villabassa, not Toblach/Dobbiaco. That was confusing and biketours.com should update that.

Beautiful ride through Dutch countryside
Best of Holland North: Dutch Villages, Landscapes & the Keukenhof
The local tour company designed a beautiful and varied route through nature preserves, parks, farmland, and old and picturesque towns. Each inn was delightful in its own way. I rated this harder than expected only because we had extremely windy weather.

A perfect first tour!
Rhine Bike Path: Mainz to Cologne
This tour definitely met with our expectations, and was thoroughly enjoyable from start to finish. The information given beforehand was really comprehensive and the recommendations for meals and excursions really helpful. This was bought as a 70th birthday present for my husband and he/we had a great time! A bottle of bubbly awaited him on the first evening of the ride, as a present from the company, which he was very touched by! We were very lucky with the weather too, so all in all a great little adventure!

Great Trip down the Rhine
Rhine Bike Path: Mainz to Cologne
We had a fantastic first bike tour. The hotels in general were well appointed. One hotel had staff that did not know any English which made communication a challenge but we managed. The castles were amazing. The routes are well laid out and easy to follow even if you do no know German.

Greatest family vacation!
Rhine Bike Path: Mainz to Cologne
Rhine biking is perfect combo of castles, beauty, history, food, beer/wine, and fun! Great exercise, not strenuous biking. Four college-age kids and three parents--something for all everyday. We will be back for another trip!

Wonderful Easy Biking
Rhine Bike Path: Mainz to Cologne
The Rhine region of Germany is gorgeous, we enjoyed sunny warm days and relaxed biking. Towns and cities are beautiful and interesting and the people are educated and friendly. The 3* hotels are good and the 3* Superior hotels are excellent. Breakfasts everywhere were really good and there were very good options for dinner wherever we went. The bikes are heavy and bulky but adequate for the trip, the only issue we had was climbing the long steep hill to Eberbach Monastery. The maps are not easy to read, but the route is pretty straightforward. The only challenges are navigating inside the cities and finding some hotels, which is easily done with Google Maps.

Gute Fahren along the Rhine
Rhine Bike Path: Mainz to Cologne
This was a most picturesque tour along the Rhine. The ride was gentle and we mostly rode on dedicated bike paths. Most of the ride was right along the river except when the path took us through one of the many well preserved medieval towns. The tour company was great and our bikes performed well. Our luggage was always delivered on time. Our maps and printed materials were very helpful, especially the recommendations for restaurants for lunch and dinner. Our hotels were very comfortable and they were all air conditioned. They also served lovely breakfasts. This was a very memorable ride that compared favorably with other European rides that we have taken. I highly recommend this tour.
