It was a fun experience although a bit more strenuous than we anticipated. Lesson learned - check the difficulty level when you book a bike tour.
The ebikes worked well and we were able to follow the directions on our self-guided tour. Our luggage was always at the next hotel before we arrived.Looking forward to doing another bike tour at some point in the future.

Loved it!!!

The biking was spectacular! We did the seven day tour but next time we would do the 9 day because there are more stops. Our guide Paolo was fantastic. The hotels were also great!!’

Spring in Umbria and Tuscany

An Italian Adventure!

Wow! What an incredible experience. We loved exploring the countryside and smaller towns of Italy and soaking in the local culture. Make sure you have spent time training as the biking is challenging, but well worth it. The app for the routes was easy to use and follow and the bikes we rented were high quality.

Trip of my Wife's dreams
· Tuscany Getaway: 4 Nights in Siena, Montalcino & Pienza
My wife had dreamed of a Tuscany bike ride, so we decided the time was right. We setup our contract with road bikes. We are used to rode bikes and have never tried eBikes. Our Tour Advisor, Inshaaf Anderson, suggested we consider eBikes due to the hilly Tuscan terrain. Unfortunately, we stayed with the road bikes. The Tuscan hills are long uphill and fast downhill. After our 1st day we were having second thoughts about eBikes. Day 2 included Montepulciano and the most challenging 34 miles of our lives. After reviewing the Day 3 ride to Montalcino we wished we had listened to Inshaaf. We were able to contact and exchange our bikes. Another unfortunately, we had nothing left once we arrived in Montalcino. We made arrangements with Cycloposse to exchange us for the bikes and rode to Siena. A special thanks to Enrico and Panos for their support and compassion. Even though we didn’t complete the tour, we saw some wonderful country and met many wonderful Italians. We enjoyed the hotels very much and had no concerns about the safety of the bikes. A special thanks to Inshaaf, Kate and Taylor for their support during the entire process. Great tour

Despite two days of intermittent fog/clouds/rain, we loved this tour. The bikes and equipment were perfect. The tour operator, Cicloposse, was efficient, responsive, flexible. The hotels were quite good including lovely breakfasts. The routes were wonderful, so many interesting and beautiful places to see, and even though we were on roads, we felt safe.

Outstanding route and operator for central Italy - Awesome trip!
· Tuscany and Umbria: Cycling in the Heart of Italy
Really excellent self-guided trip run by a first class small operator (Petra and Paulo). Stunning terrain, mostly in Umbria which is quieter and perhaps even more charming than Tuscany. Accommodation was excellent quality and value. Not over-the-top fancy but great. Breakfasts good - usual European-style. Generally on our own for dinners and so many incredible choices - Umbria has first class food and wine. Luggage transfers perfect. Directions provided excellent. Relatively challenging rides which we expected. At the higher end of level 3. Terrain is hilly (and gorgeous) which isn't an issue where roads are switch-backed. Tougher when they're not but we managed fine. Best to be in decent shape. We're 60 and in good fitness. Winter training via spin classes helpful. Would be more challenging on hybrids - we upgraded to road bikes and were happy we did, riding with our own shoes and clips. Took an extra day in Orvieto which helped give a recovery day and was very interesting/worthwhile. Lots of history and art along the way. Great trip! Highly recommend this operator and this trip.

Amazing views!

The itinerary was wonderful, the medieval cities are amazing and very well located hotels. The only thing we didn't like very much was that the way was mostly on narrow paved roads, we were expecting to ride more on dirt roads.
Apart from that, we liked everything, including the e-bikes and local support.

A nice and perfect organization

Routes and the booklet given to us were very clear and helpful. We would have liked to receive details of each of our two bikes sot to ask for change. In fact we did not need so heavy bikes for the roads of our tour, and one as 27 and the other was 29" wheels for same height of the two of us.

Wonderful experience

There were so many positives on this trip. We were fortunate to have a fun group of like minded people on our tour. The villa is spectacular, Pometti was a fabulous, down to earth host, the food awesome, wine so good I shipped a bunch home and every location we visited was special.
