Best trip ever!!!!
Bruges – Amsterdam by Bike and Boat
This was our first bike tour, and we did not know what to expect. It was better than what we hoped it would be and I would recommend this trip to everyone! Our bike guide, Andri was amazing! He always made sure everyone was together, comfortable with the route and their bike. He was great at explaining where we were going, what to expect and set a perfect pace for the electric bikers and pedal bikers. The sites on the ride were beautiful! It was a great route and we saw many different views along the way from windmills, to fields, a cheese farm and beautiful quaint towns. Our cook on the barge, Amil did an amazing job! Our food was perfect. Breakfast was always tasty and after breakfast we packed a quick sandwich and fruit for lunch. Exactly what we needed midway through our ride. Dinners were absolutely delicious. We had a wide variety of food and it was always fresh, accompanied with an appetizer to start and dessert at the end. he spoiled us! Craig was the assistant chef and assistant for everything! He too, always made sure everything was running smoothly and made sure everyone had what they needed. Our captain, Coen, got us through the canals and locks and to our destinations safely. He even did a city tour with us one night and did an amazing job. The crew all seemed to love their jobs. They were all happy and friendly, and truly made our trip amazing! If we could’ve, we would’ve booked another trip on our last day. We’ll definitely be back!!! Thanks for an amazing experience in Europe!

Bucket List to Bruges
Amsterdam to Bruges: Cycling through South Holland and Zeeland
A beautiful way to truly see the Netherlands! Our self-guided group of eight cyclists pedaled from Amsterdam to Bruges. Pleased how everything flowed so seamlessly. The bicycles, panniers, GPS and route maps provided by Tulip Cycling were top notch. Would recommend this tour for any level of cycling.

Being our first bike tour, we didn't know what to expect going into the tour, but we had a great time. The whole team was amazing from the first day to the last day. Having dietary restrictions, they were more than accommodating and didn't make it seem like a burden. All the stops along the way were great and our guide was so knowledgeable. Can't wait to do another one!

Can’t wait to go on another trip! The barge was comfortable, food tasty, guide and staff wonderful and I really enjoyed the whole itinerary. The fortified cities shaped like stars were so unique and I enjoyed sailing on the boat, enjoying a happy hour glass on the deck after a long day biking.

I loved seeing Belgium and Netherlands by the calm pace of the bike and barge. It was exciting to see and experience the cities, small towns and villages, countryside, canals, forests, and farms & communities where people lived. The barge was comfortable, staff was great and the food on the barge was fabulous. I would definitely consider another trip by bike and barge.

Bike & Barge Tour

My husband and I both had a great time on our tour. We biked from Brugge to Amsterdam. Our guide was knowledgeable, the food was fabulous and we enjoyed getting to know the other bikers as we traveled through beautiful country. We highly recommend.

Great bike and boating trip!

Our guide Seitse was terrific - very knowledgeable about the areas and routes. The crew on board Sailing Home made us feel very welcome and the food was excellent. The riding was quite pleasant (very flat almost everywhere) such that we rarely turned on our ebikes. Overall, it was a great way to see parts of Belgium and the Netherlands.

Terrific introduction to bike touring
Bruges – Amsterdam by Bike and Boat
From the first moment to the last we had a great time. Thirteen riders and a great guide made for a splendid week touring the countryside between Brugge and Amsterdam. The pace was perfect with plenty of stops for food and drink. Our boat was nicely appointed and the on board chef made a different gourmet meal every night. We recommend a guided tour though we haven't tried a self guided tour yet.

Very enjoyable tour. Excellent crew. Excellent food. Excellent company. It is a good mixture of bike & barge travel. The cycling is gentle and Holland is flat. It is good to have a guide as it is impossible to get lost. Cycle routes in Belgium & Holland are very well organised, safe with minimum traffic and great scenery. Would recommend it. Note cabins are small.

Bike and Barge Adventure
Amsterdam – Bruges by Bike and Boat – Magnifique II (and reverse)
A wonderful week of fresh air, exercise, amazing food, beautiful scenery, and great people.
We cycled through small towns, across farmland, and into large cities. The scenery was spectacular. Having to stop to wait for 100 cows to move from one field to another was a quirky countryside highlight. Traveling down 31 metres by elevator, then cycling through a 521 metre long tunnel under the River Scheldt, and returning to surface level on escalators was a large city highlight.
All of the crew were dedicated, cheerful, and knowledgeable. One of our guides was from Belgium (Jordy) and other from the Netherlands (Hetty) and the friendly banter between them was fun. Hetty shared stories relating to many sights and Jordy bought us local treats to taste.
The host (Vio) and hostess (Sophie) were always ready to help out and were incredibly kind. The chef (Steven) prepared amazing meals and there was always delicious food available. No losing weight, despite the physical activity. When we returned to the barge or watched it sail by as we rode, the crew smiled and waved at us, making us feel like family.
I would highly recommend this trip.

We were able to explore the countryside of Belgium and the Netherlands in ways that a car trip would not have allowed us, plus staying on a very comfortable boat, with great food and the possibility of making good friends! It is an easy track for those who are not very athletic but are used to biking.

This trip had it all - new friends, good food, interesting and beautiful cities, history and bicycling. However the bicycling was quite easy. I wish the route maps were updated so that we could have added more miles and ridden on our own especially when the groups were quite large.

Celebrating my 70th birthday on Magnifique II was a special surprise! Everything on board was above expectations. Clean, comfortable, invigorating. Meals were first class!
I would recommend bringing eco friendly containers for lunch items as you will prepare your own lunch to take with you on the ride.Bike guides were informative and knowledgeable about sites and enhanced the experience.
Definitely recommend!
