The route primarily follows the river taking you between farm land, forests, small towns and castle ruins. We booked an extra day in Hrensko and hiked the area, making a long meandering way to see the rock arch. This tour is ideal for cyclists who are comfortable riding on roads with traffic, as there are very few dedicated bike paths. In return, you're rewarded with breathtaking scenery, authentic Sardinian hospitality, and plenty of opportunities to swim, relax, and enjoy the local cuisine. The local tour operator also provided excellent support throughout the trip, making the entire experience smooth and worry-free. We'd highly recommend travelling in May or late September/October when temperatures are cooler and the island is less crowded.
