Bike Rider's Paradise

Nicknamed the 'Cycling Capital of the World', Holland (also known as the Netherlands) is a bike rider's paradise. Here, cycling is a part of everyday life, so you can be sure of safe routes, well-connected cities, and some of the world's best cycling infrastructure.

Beyond the biking, Holland is world-famous for its landscapes, from the traditional windmills of Zaanse Schans to the beaches of the UNESCO Wadden Sea. Holland's tulip fields are a once-in-a-lifetime sight to behold – endless fields erupting in a kaleidoscope of colors and sold in brightly colored bunches in Amsterdam.

Whether you're cruising the canals of the capital on a bike and boat tour, cycling the streets of Hanseatic cities, or pedaling through the polders, your journey through Holland is guaranteed to be a memorable and relaxing adventure.

Tulip season in Holland is springtime, from mid-March to mid-May, with the absolute peak usually in mid- to late April.

    • March: Early blooms begin, mostly crocuses, daffodils, and hyacinths.
    • April: Fields are at their most colorful, with tulips in full bloom – this is the best time to visit.
    • May: The season winds down; early May can still be beautiful, but by mid-May, many fields are cut for bulb harvesting.
