  The best time to take a bike tour in Croatia is the spring through early summer season, when the temperatures are milder at around 18–26°C (65–79°F). Early autumn is also recommended.

  July and August are the hottest months, often exceeding 30°C (86°F), whilst November to March bring cooler temperatures and some rain. Ferry services are also limited in the winter months.

• Are Croatia bike tours suitable for beginners?

  Many routes in Croatia are ideal for beginners and first-time cyclists, with paved routes, short daily rides, e-bike options, and often a support vehicle. In Istria and Northern Dalmatia, the terrain is especially suited to beginners, with fewer climbs.

  E-bikes make light work of any rolling terrain and are recommended if riders are unsure of their fitness level or want a more relaxed ride in warmer temperatures.
