  • An exclusive "lite" bike and boat tour from Split to Dubrovnik.

Clients have asked us again and again if we could offer a Croatia bike and boat tour that’s a “lite” version with less strenuous cycling and lower distances than on standard tours. That’s as much about relaxation, history, culture and gastronomy as about cycling.

So we’re delighted to announce Croatia Bike and Boat Lite–developed by and offered exclusively through us.

You will not find this tour anywhere else! Just one departure is planned. Don’t miss out!

Aboard the charming yacht, Harmonia, you will explore the Dalmatian Islands and Coast up close and personal. Breathtaking scenic bike rides, cultural highlights, and local culinary “farm to table” delights await you!

Not sure if the tour is “lite” enough? We have electric-assist bicycles available for everyone. One guide leads, and the other sweeps, which means there’s no pressure to keep up. Ride your own ride. Take as many photos along the way as you’d like.

Tour highlights include the ancient cities of Dubrovnik and Split, both listed as UNESCO World Heritage Sites. We also visit the charming and scenic islands of Mljet, Korčula, Hvar, and Brač.

A highlight of nearly every day will be to swim in isolated harbors and the open sea. Simply jump or dive off the swim platform at the back of the boat and enjoy being surrounded by magical turquoise waters.

     Tour Description Daily Program

  • Daily program

    Day 1: Arrival to Split
Individual arrival to Split. Check-in on board starts between 2 - 2:30 pm at Split harbor. At about 4:30 pm, a guided city tour offers you the chance to see inside the former Palace of Emperor Diocletian and to learn about its transformation into the city which it has become. The boat will spend the night in Split offering you an opportunity to experience Split’s nightlife.

    Day 2: Split - Postira
You'll start your tour with a short cruise down the coast to the port of Krilo. There you’ll be transferred by van to a guided rafting tour through the Cetina River Canyon. You’ll enjoy a fun blend of flatwater and easy rapids through one of Croatia’s most scenic canyons. If you prefer not to raft, you can explore the medieval streets of nearby Omis.
After returning to the boat, you cruise to the northern coast of the island of Brac, known for its fishing and agricultural products with locals producing good wine, olive oil, figs, nectarines and other fruits. Before you land, there’s time to set anchor and swim.
After arriving in the charming port town of Postira, you'll have time to explore the nearby coast on foot. Build up an appetite for a private farm-to-table tasting dinner–on the actual farm that produced most of what you’ll be eating and drinking: olive oil, wine, vinegar, cured meats, cheese, bread, and a variety of liqueurs. The outside tables overlook one of the meadows, where cows and goats provide a perfect backdrop.
In the evening, you can walk or explore the shops before retiring for the night.

    Day 3: Postira - Jelsa
Today begins with a round-trip kayak tour from Postira to Lovrecina Bay for swimming and a visit to Roman ruins.
As you enjoy lunch on board, you’ll make the crossing to the island of Hvar and the picture-perfect harbor town of Jelsa. Jelsa features a beautiful promenade along the sea and a true Mediterranean atmosphere. The town also has its share of historic buildings giving a strong sense of centuries past.
There is a special treat after dinner: a chocolate tasting with a variety of locally made chocolates flavored with local herbs, berries, fruits and flowers.

    Day 4: Jelsa - Hvar
The cycling tour leads along the north coast to Stari Grad, where you'll have lunch on your own. After lunch, you can rejoin the boat or continue the cycle tour through lavender fields and small villages until reaching the island's capital, Hvar town. Go for a little stroll through the town. Standing on the magnificent Renaissance Square, you can enjoy a view up to the Spanish fortress towering high above the city.

    Day 5: Hvar - Korčula
You'll start with an easy hike to the Spanish Fortress. You walk through the main city gate and ascend the stairs through the old part of the city. Here, you’ll pass palaces built in the 15th and 16th centuries. You’ll continue through small switchbacks until you reach the fort, built in the 16th century. Besides experiencing its exquisite architecture, you will experience an unforgettable panoramic view of the city of Hvar and the Adriatic beyond.
Lunch is enjoyed on board as the boat crosses to the island of Korčula, regarded as one of the most beautiful islands in Dalmatia, if not of the whole Adriatic.
An especially mild Mediterranean climate and a broad variety of different landscapes accompany you on a short ride today. You’ll ride through dense vegetation and cypress gardens, taking your time to take breaks to enjoy the view over the deep blue sea and neighboring islands.
A guided walking tour of the walled old town is perfect to explore its narrow fishbone-like alleys. Dinner tonight is also on your own with a variety of fine restaurants and fine views to choose from.

    Day 6: Korčula - Sipan
The boat will leave before breakfast heading from Korcula to the island of Mljet, where you’ll ride through Mljet National Park.
As you enjoy lunch on board, you cross to Sipan, the largest of the Elaphiti Islands. Today’s short and pleasant cycle trip takes you past villas with exotic gardens and through a fertile valley framed by a range of limestone hills.

    Day 7: Sipan - Dubrovnik
The last crossing after an adventurous week! After arrival in Dubrovnik, you’ll have a guided tour plus time on your own to explore the UNESCO World Heritage city.
Tonight’s farewell feast will be at a private winery in the nearby countryside–with wine- and brandy tastings and live Croatian folk music.
