“The landscape was magnificent-rolling green hills of cereal and vegetable crops, vineyards, olive groves and poppy fields. The historic hilltop towns were reached easily on the ebikes. The accommodation could have been better in a couple of places eg miniscule shower recesses. Overall a most enjoyable ride.” Less

“I had never ridden an e-bike before, and the four of us riders were all over 60, so I was a little nervous about this trip. But Emmanuele gave us good instructions and told us what to expect. He was cheerful, helpful, and full of information about the different things we saw on our ride. The catacomb tour was first. It is done by the people who manage the catacombs, and we were shepherded in with other visitors there. We met up with Emmanuele again when we came out. Even though we thought it would be cool to ride on the famous Appian way, it wasn't my favorite part. It was pretty bumpy, but, but after 200 meters the big stones gave way to cobblestones and eventually to a dirt road. Most of the ride was in a big loop that wound through the aqueducts and other picturesque ruins. The pace was leisurely with time to take photos and ask questions. I appreciated Emmanuele's efforts to cater to our interests. He made a couple of stops along the way so we could see the Quo Vadis church and the church of St. Sebastian, which weren't on the regular itinerary. It was altogether a wonderful day.” Less

“It really was an excellent tour. Between the GPS file and the maps, navigation was pretty easy. Despite having to back track once for a total of 5 Kms, the cycling was straight forward, the scenery varied and pretty with so many flowers in bloom.
Generally, distances were good but our longest day, the last, 90 plus kms, had the most things to stop and see and we missed out on a couple castles etc. This after already taking the shorter less scenic route. Rødvig to Copenhagen, in our opinion needs rethinking.
We used the company’s standard touring bikes. We are both in our late 60’s and we found them reliable and rolled along at a 20 kph pace very nicely.
Hotels were all good, however, location choice were not always great. For instances, Stege the hotel was 6 kilometres past the town in the middle of an area of no services, costing riders 12 extra kms. Also the hotel in Copenhagen was a 50 minute ride from the time you entered the city to the far side of the city. This again was our longest riding day, and though it was relatively easy city riding, the time constraint of the day was a little frustrating (8 am start-7 pm finish at hotel).
We would highly recommend this tour and loved the city of Rostock, hotel at the brick factory, loads of history and farming, and seeing so many small towns along the way. In addition, you have the option to go off course and discover even more cool areas with limited extra distance.” Less
