“A bike-and-boat tour is truly the perfect way to experience the beautiful Danube! Our barge, The Vivienne, was spectacular, and the crew and guides were absolutely wonderful throughout the trip.

We cycled mainly along flat, scenic bike paths, making it easy to relax, enjoy the views, and take in the beautiful surrounding countryside. Each day brought something new, from charming towns and stunning landscapes to fascinating castle ruins and historic sites.

What made the experience even more special was learning about the region’s rich and fascinating history from our incredibly knowledgeable guides. Their stories and insights brought the places we visited to life and made every day feel like an adventure.
The combination of cycling during the day and returning to the comfort of The Vivienne in the evening was fantastic. It was the perfect balance of adventure, relaxation, beautiful scenery, and history.

“The Connemara region is truly beautiful and worth visiting. Our family enjoyed exploring the scenery and castles on the way. I wish the accommodations had been more consistent (similar from one another) and that we had been communicated that hotels/hostels would be located far from services such as restaurants, given that we had 2 children with us. We also biked mostly on a road shared with cars, which was stressful when managing kids. Overall, we enjoyed our trip but would not recommend for kids under the age of 12.” Less

One can never tire of the beautiful mountains, waterfall, small farms, villages, orchards, etc. The hotels were all high quality and located on or near the bike path.
