Begin your bike tour by cycling through the varied landscapes of Durmitor National Park. Follow your guide through alpine forests, grasslands, and patches of forests until you arrive at Zminje Lake. This small, deep lake is also known as the 'Mountain Eyes of Durmitor' for its oval shape and glassy waters. Cycling on, you'll arrive at Barno Lake, another glacial lake, though much shallower than Zminje. Crno Jezero is a glacial body of water, called the Black Lake for the dark hue its still waters take on from the reflection of the dense pine forests that surround it. Of all the high altitude lakes in Durmitor National Park, Crno Jezero is the deepest and the biggest, though it divides into two smaller lakes at the height of summer. Despite its name, the tranquil waters of the lake actually take on a turquoise color on bright days, so, depending on your tour date, you could see the lake in a totally different light!
