Medieval walls, magnificent markets, and picture-perfect plazas
Discover vibrant Valencia’s best sightseeing spots by bicycle on this guided bike tour! Taking in the highlights and hidden gems of this sensational Spanish city, your day tour will discover the Turia Gardens, Serrano and Quart Towers, Concert Hall, Calatrava Bridge, City of Arts and Sciences, Colon Market, Sea Gate and Gardens, Patriarch’s Square, and the Town Hall Square. With the added benefit of bike rental, this is your all-encompassing experience of Valencia via velo!
Your bike tour begins in the Jardines del Turia. These gorgeous green gardens were built on the old riverbed of the Turia, and their linear structure weaving all the way from near the port to the Bioparc Valencia means they’re likely the most visited gardens in Spain!
Park your bike in the shadows of the Torres de Serrano, Valencia’s magnificent medieval wall. These breathtaking castle towers were built in 1392 to defend the city gates and now stand as one of the best preserved monuments in Valencia. Pedaling on to the Palau de la Música via the Puente de Calatrava, discover a distinctive auditorium with glasshouses reflecting the fabulous fountains of the Turia Gardens. Built in 1987 during the Vanguard architectural movement, Valencia’s main concert hall is a cultural hub in the city, promoting operas, ballets, concerts, and conferences.
Your bicycle tour continues to one of the 12 Treasures of Spain - the City of Arts and Sciences. Constituting Valencia’s most important modern tourist destination, the Ciudad de las Artes y las Ciencias is an incredible cultural complex of striking alternative architecture - each museum, opera house, walkway, oceanographic park, and bridge is constructed like no building you’ve ever seen before. This is a must-see sightseeing stop in Valencia!
You’ll move on to the Mercado de Colón to explore an enticing marketplace of breathtaking architectural beauty - the Colon Market is one of the city’s most sensational examples of the Valencian Art Nouveau style. Pedaling on to Puerta del Mar - Jardines de la Glorieta, admire the grandiose gateway to the old city, built entirely from granite and decorated with intricate carvings.
The nearby Plaza del Patriarca continues this splendid architectural theme, boasting a historic red brick plaza with a beautiful church, authentic eateries, and a fragrant grid of orange trees. The church itself is an icon of the city, covered entirely in breathtaking frescoes. The Plaza del Ayuntamiento is a few pedals away and provides another exceptionally beautiful stop. Admire the grand fountain and the bedazzling Baroque beauty of the colossal town hall.
Your guided bicycle tour finishes on a high as you ride up to the Quart Towers. The Torres de Quart, inspired by castle towers in Naples, were built to be defensive gates for the city and remain today as relics in the Gothic military style. Admire a site of huge national significance - the Torres de Quart were instrumental in stopping the advance of Napoleon’s troops in 1808, with the facades proudly bearing the scars of cannon ball attacks.

Good way to spend 3 hours
· Valencia Highlights Bike Tour
Very busy place and many different tours converge at the sites. Might have been better as a private tour or maybe just rent a bike.
