    • Tune in to Turin

Take in terrific Turin on this comprehensive bicycle tour of iconic sights and hidden gems. Your local guide divulges the essence that makes Turin the magnificent city it is today, whilst giving you tips for the best bagna càuda (garlic and anchovy fondu), bicerin (chocolate espresso), and Gianduiotto (ingot-shaped chocolates).

Pushing off in Porta Nuova, be awe-inspired by Turin’s glittering skyscrapers stretching to the clouds in the city’s business district. You’ll soon be pedaling into Piazza San Carlo, an exquisite square lined with the resplendent baroque architecture of the Santa Cristina and San Carlo churches and the Solaro del Borgo, home of the Philharmonic Academy. Piazza San Carlo is widely regarded as the most beautiful square in Italy, so this is your perfect opportunity to feast your eyes on its wonderful facades, and your stomachs in the traditional cafes!

Your guided bike tour will ride on to the Royal Palace, the historic seat of power of the Savoy family, glistening white in the stunning daylight. Originally built in the 16th Century, the Royal House of Savoy displays extraordinary details on its expansive façade, and presents an iconic photo opportunity. You’ll ride into the Roman ruins of the city in what is the oldest part of the Turin. Marvel at Mole Antonelliana, the world’s tallest museum and a spectacular feat of neoclassical architecture. The monumental building, with its spire-topped dome, is an icon of Turin, and for clear reason!

Your guided ride continues along the Po riverfront, breathing in the fresh breeze carried on Italy’s longest river. Admire the exquisite Superga Hill, topped with the magnificent Basilica, before pedaling into Valentino Park, host of many royal summertime playdates. The park is a haven for beautiful birds and houses the marvelous medieval “contrade”. Biking back along the Po, regard the glorious Gran Madre di Dio as it throws a commanding reflection on the river. Your guide will fill you in on its connections with the Holy Grail legend and esoteric legacy.

Your day tour pedals on into Palazzo Carignano where the Museo del Risorgimento resides. Here you’ll find the home of Italy’s first parliament and yet another example of exquisite architecture – the Palazzo Carignano was the private residence of the Princes of Carignano. Your bike tour draws to an enchanting end at the Egyptian Museum, famous as the most significant museum dedicated to Egyptian history outside of Egypt itself.
