Tour description

You will follow the Garonne canal, the extension of the Canal du Midi that connects Toulouse to the Mediterranean Sea. This section is called the “Canal des Deux Mers” (the canal of the two seas), connecting the Atlantic Ocean to the Mediterranean Sea: a fantastic route between vineyards and medieval villages, along the Garonne. You will venture across beautiful towns and cultural sites like Moissac… and don’t forget the cuisine is truly inescapable in this region!

This flat itinerary can be done in either direction. You can choose the route that is more practical for your access.

Daily program

Day 1: Arrival in Bordeaux
You begin your journey at your arrival in Bordeaux and check in to your hotel. You can test ride your bikes today. We recommend either a visit to Bordeaux by bike or by foot.
Overnight in Bordeaux

Day 2: Bordeaux – St Martin de Lerm (37 miles/60km)
Venture out of Bordeaux on a cycle path. Between Dordogne and Gironde, by the city of Bastide de Créon, la Sauve Majeure (a former Benedictine abbey).

Cross through the medieval village of Sauveterre de Guyenne, a beautiful, historic town with four gates. Its fortified town was founded in 1281. It is also the county of the canton of Entre Deux Mers (AOC). The path is entirely on a cycle lane and on the green line named “Roger Lapébie” after the famous cyclist, winner of the Tour de France in 1937. You'll enjoy dinner tonight in your guest-house in St Martin de Lerm.
Overnight in St Martin de Lerm

Day 3: St Martin de Lerm – Le Mas d’Agenais (28 miles/45 km)
Embark on this stage from St Martin de Lerm to la Réole by small roads. After that, you reach the cycle path of the Garonne canal which you will follow until Fouques sur Garonne or the Mas d’Agenais.
Overnight in Le Mas d'Agenais

Day 4: Le Mas d’Agenais – Sérignac sur Garonne (23 miles/37Km)
At the Mas d’Agenais, don’t miss the visit to the beautiful Roman church. Continue along the green canal where you will have plenty of opportunities to stop and savor the views. You will pass by the quaint town of Damezan, founded in 1259.

The rest of the day continues along the canal. You can expect a calm and gentle ride until the village of Sérignac.
Overnight in Sérignac

Day 5: Serignac – Moissac (34 miles/55Km)
As you continue along the Garonne Canal, you will pass by the superb bridge of Pont Canal d’Agen with a stop in the historical city center of Agen. The day continues along the canal until Moissac, the centre of Roman art, on the Santiago de Compostella Way. The abbey and the cloister are part of the UNESCO world’s heritage. Moissac’s landscape is dominated by orchards and vineyards of the famous Chasselas. This is the place where the Tarna the Garonne meet.
Overnight in Maissac

Day 6: Moissac – Toulouse (42 miles/67Km)
The Garonne and its canal will lead us into the heart of Toulouse ("la ville Rose," the pink city) at the end of 56 sluices of the Garonne canal.
Overnight in Toulouse

Day 7: Toulouse
Your tour ends after breakfast. We encourage you to stay and enjoy Toulouse. A city with unique architecture made of pinkish terracotta bricks, which earned it the nickname la Ville Rose ("the Pink City"), Toulouse counts two UNESCO World Heritage Sites: the Canal du Midi (designated in 1996 and shared with other cities), and the Basilica of St. Sernin, the largest remaining Romanesque building in Europe, designated in 1998 because of its significance to the Santiago de Compostela pilgrimage route.

In the event of contradiction between the VDC appearing in brochure and those of the website www.grandangle.fr (hereinafter, the "Site"), the latter shall prevail.
We inform you that the travel plans offered by The Tour Operator are considered, within the meaning of the regulations, as "packages", and as such, you benefit in particular from the rights stated in article 13 below.

1 / Our travel offers
From our Site, we provide you with detailed information on the nature and specificities of each trip. You will be able to consult the program day by day, practical information on the destination and take note of all the information useful for its realization (level of physical implication, minimum number of participants).
A section "Rates and Reservation" will allow you to have an indication on the price of the trip on the date envisaged.
In case of contradiction between the information of a trip contained in our offer (brochure, partner websites other than www.grandangle.fr, etc.) and those appearing on the technical sheet available from the tour operator or on its website, the latter will prevail.
We draw your attention to the fact that we offer stays that may require more or less physical commitment. As a result, we recommend that you carefully read the information on the level of physical involvement required to undertake the intended journey. It is the responsibility of each participant to determine, based on the information provided, whether he has the necessary capabilities.
In case of doubt and before any registration, we invite you to get closer to the tour operator as well as any specialist (Ex .: doctor in case of medical history) to validate your ability to undertake the planned journey.
Our travel offer includes tours accompanied or not to realize in group or family and tailor-made trips to design, according to your desires of the moment, with the help of one of our advisers.

1.1. Freedom Trips
The trip to Liberty allows you to travel without a guide and without worrying about the organization or the logistics. We offer a route for which we reserve your accommodation, luggage transfers and other services depending on the options, and you receive a travel book containing the necessary documents for the completion of your trip. For some trips, a minimum of two adults may be required.

1.2. Accompanied trips
1.2.1 Size of the group
Guided trips allow you to travel in small groups with a guide. The maximum group size for each trip is indicated on the data sheet. Nevertheless, the maximum number may be exceeded for a participant in the event that the last person registering wishes to travel with another person. The benefits will not be changed and the conditions of travel will be identical.

1.2.2 Authority of supervisors
The coaching staff chosen by the tour operator and its partners (mountain guides, mountain guide, ski instructor, bike instructor, etc ...) to accompany any group of travelers is the only judge during the trip, to realize or modify the planned program to ensure the safety of travelers and the smooth running of the trip, or even to cope with unforeseen circumstances. It is also entitled to suspend and / or interrupt the trip of one or more traveler (s) for security reasons. An alternative to the trip will be offered to the concerned traveler (s), who will bear any additional costs. Depending on climatic conditions, ground conditions and the physical condition of travelers, the tour operator or the supervisor may be brought to offer travelers a suitable program and / or the presence of an additional guide. Additional costs will be borne by travelers. The interruption of the trip on the initiative of any traveler can not give rise to any refund.

The tour operator offers accompanied tours specially designed for families; these tours are only offered to participants traveling with at least one minor child. The tour operator also offers stays and trips in Liberty suitable for families.

3.1. Administrative and health formalities
Before you register to undertake your journey, you must check that each traveler, according to his personal situation and nationality, is in possession of a passport or a national identity card (CNI) in the process of validity, document that will be used to carry out the envisaged journey as well as any other document (s) / documentary proof (visa / authorization to leave the territory, family record etc ...) necessary and in conformity with the requirements for transit and / or enter the country (s) of the trip.

The tour operator issues the formalities information for all French nationals. For other nationalities, we are at your disposal to assist you in your efforts.

For the organization of your trip, we inform you that certain countries and / or providers (in particular, the customs authorities, the airlines ...) require the transmission of some of your personal data for the purpose of filling out forms and / or requirements relating to their reservation and / or control system.

For this purpose, we may be obliged to communicate to these service providers the following data:

your last name, first name (s), date of birth and gender appearing on the passport or CNI (if the destination allows it) that you will use for your trip and to complete the transit or entry authorizations (visa, ESTA ...) ,
data relating to a need for assistance (children, pregnant women, people with reduced mobility) or others.
It is important to specify that if you have to fill out administrative forms for the completion of your trip, you will have to fill in the same information as the one sent to the tour operator, namely, last name, first name (s), date birth and sex. Failing to comply with this procedure, you expose yourself to a refusal of entry into the territory (transit or final destination).

A traveler, who could not use the transport tickets made available to him, for lack of presenting the police, customs and / or sanitary documents required, could not claim any reimbursement of the price of his trip. The tour operator can not, under any circumstances, be held responsible for the consequences of the non-observance by the traveler of police, customs or health regulations before or during the trip (for example the loss of identity papers).

3.2. Information on safety and health risks
The tour operator advises you to consult regularly before your departure the "country file" relative to the (x) country of your trip to the site in France of the Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs (MEAE), heading "Advice to travelers" .

The tour operator may have to sign the MEAE form of the (visited) country (ies) or traversed, as part of its obligation of information. This request does not constitute a release of liability.

The tour operator also recommends that you regularly consult the information on the risks of the country (ies) of your trip and the recommendations available on the websites of the French Ministry of Solidarity and Health and the World Health Organization .

3.3. Physical fitness / accessibility
Each traveler must ensure that his physical condition is suitable for the intended trip. The tour operator can not be held responsible in case of physical insufficiency revealed during the trip. The tour operator reserves the right not to accept any participant who does not meet the prerequisites of aptitude expected and specified in the data sheet and may be required to refuse any participant to continue his journey if it proves dangerous, both for his person for the other members of the group, without the participant being able to contest the decision taken by Great Angle and request any compensation or reimbursement in this respect.

Our trips are likely to accommodate minor children accompanied by an adult, provided that their age and physical ability make it possible to complete the circuit under normal conditions.

Our trips require more or less physical involvement depending on the level of sports required and are therefore not adaptable and / or accessible to all.

We invite you to contact us for more information on the accessibility of our trips and for any request for assistance, especially at the airport and / or during the journeys.

3.4. minors
Applications for registration of minors under the age of 18 who wish to travel unaccompanied by their parents or guardians, subject to the prior agreement of the tour operator, must be signed by the father, mother or legal guardian and bear the words "agreement of father, mother or guardian".

Since January 15, 2017, an authorization to leave the territory, for any French minor traveling abroad without at least one of his parents or legal guardian, is mandatory. A minor child who travels without at least one of his parents or legal guardian must submit the following three documents:

We draw your attention to the fact that the authorization to leave the territory concerns all minors traveling without at least one of their parents, whether they have a passport or not. For minors who travel with one of the parents, guardians or other adults, it is the responsibility of the latter to ensure that they are in possession of the necessary documents (family record and national identity card or passport and, where applicable, authorization to leave the territory). In any case, the minor traveler will also have to carry permanently during the trip contact details (name, address and telephone numbers) of his parents or legal guardians in order to establish a direct contact with them.

4 / Changes / Interruption of services requested by the traveler
4.1. Transport services
After the registration for the trip, any change to the ticket and in particular the names / first names of the traveler (s) may lead to additional fees and / or penalties, the amount of which must imperatively be paid by the traveler (s) to the tour operator before departure. Great Angle will charge, per person, the actual costs and 50 € service charge.

4.2. Other services
After registration on the trip and before the departure date, the costs incurred by any change request, such as:

additions or withdrawals of travel benefits,
change of the departure date,
will be the responsibility of travelers and to pay by any means from the tour operator. Any change will result in a minimum of € 50 per file. In the absence of a settlement, the tour operator can not be required to make the desired changes.

From the date of departure, any request for modification and / or non-fulfillment of all or part of the travel services will not give rise to any refund of the initial services. Any new services requested during the trip must be paid in advance to the tour operator or designated service providers.

4.3. Assignment of the contract
