We also requested to leave our bikes in Interlaken for a few days so that we could spend a few days hiking in the Lauterbrunnen Valley (HIGHLY recommended) and BikeTours was very accommodating and booked the extra hotels in Murren and Grindlewald for us (hint: skip the crowded Grindlewald and stay in Wengen instead). “This was a self-guided tour. Bikes provided. Bikes were of good construction, 20spd disc brakes and mostly sufficient. We had to walk up hills a few times although the vast majority of the route was along the river or riding downhill. However you will want to train for this ride and it is not for beginners unless you go electric. Highlights were the constant incredible views, cute Austrian villages with delicious bakeries. Flowers on the homes were extraordinary and the hotel accommodations and food were top notch!” Less
