When you reach this first milestone, make the most of the phenomenal views over Teide National Park and Tenerife’s spectacular southern coast!

From Vilaflor, your bike tour begins its most grueling section - an intense 14 km climb without a break on a gradient of 8%. Adjusting to the altitude here presents an additional challenge on your cycling adventure - by the time you reach Retamar, you’ll be biking at around 2,100 meters above sea level.

At Retamar, reward yourself wholeheartedly for conquering one of the toughest climbs in Europe and congratulate your fellow riders on achieving this noteworthy feat. Now, relax and enjoy the adrenaline-pumping descent to the sensational Playa de las Americas beach, famed for its phenomenal surrounding beauty. You’ll be able to soak up stunning views all along the thrilling 45 km descent.
