Majorca: A Loop Tour of the Beautiful Balearic Island
Bike Spain’s island of Mallorca, from its Dragon Caves to UNESCO mountains and golden beaches.
Located in the Mediterranean Sea off the coast of Spain, the Balearic island of Mallorca (Majorca) is a paradise for cyclists. This loop bike tour circles the entire island, with new sights and towns to discover each day.
From steep cliffs and quiet bays along the coast to the rolling hills of the island’s interior, Mallorca offers endless variety. Traditional windmills, charming fishing villages, shimmering salt lakes near Es Trenc beach, and the famous Dragon Caves of Porto Cristo are just a few of the highlights.
Cyclists can enjoy both coastal scenery and inland landscapes, with rewarding climbs, gentle descents, and plenty of chances to swim and relax on the beaches. Known as La Luminosa (“The Enlightened One”), Mallorca shines with its Mediterranean light and charm throughout the year. In February, the island is especially magical when the almond trees burst into bloom, covering the countryside in white and pink blossoms.
Note: this itinerary is subject to change at Almond Blossom season, the first few dates of travel in February and March, due to some hotels being unavailable.
