7 night guided or self guided bike tour in Spain

Experience the very best of the fantastic Road Riding that the Girona area has to offer and discover for yourself why so many Pro's choose Girona as their training base.

The rides are a fantastic mix of stunning coastal scenery, quiet and hilly inland roads, challenging climbs and buzzing descents that take you through undoubtedly some of the most picturesque scenery on the Costa Brava. The rides have been carefully selected to take you along high quality secondary roads that reduce your exposure to traffic - even during the busier times of the year.

The accommodation for this tour is staying in three very different and exciting locations. The tour starts in the medieval city centre of Girona city where you will spend the first two nights of your tour. After riding two of the many great rides that the 'Professionals' train on you cycle to the Mediterranean Sea which is your base for the next two nights, where you will experience some of the most stunning coastal riding available pretty much anywhere.

The final destination of the tour is staying in one of the timeless 'medieval villages' of the Baix Emporda region in a beautifully restored 4 star hotel. From your base here you will ride some of the classic rides of the 'Les Gavarres' range.

This tour has two different levels - Moderate level (this is the listed version in the Daily Program) and a Moderate to Difficult level (with longer and more challenging rides).

This tour is listed as Level 3 difficulty, but the tour operator can tailor the program to Level 4 if you wish. Please inquire.

NOTE: July and August are high-volume travel months in Catalonia. If you wish to book during these months, please contact us. We will secure a price quote from our local partner for you.

Spectacular Scenery; Great Bikes and Accommodations

Creative Catalonia provided quality road bikes, great accommodations, and a good itinerary with a nice mix of countryside, spectacular seaside, and interesting medieval towns. We went in early October and the weather was perfect for riding. Mornings sometimes required long sleeves but that would quickly change to shirt sleeves. Just a bit cool for swimming in the sea. Roads were in great condition, and traffic was light. Because the area has a lot of bikers, drivers seem to be more aware and tend to give plenty of room. The routes provided could also be tailored to provide longer rides, if desired.
