    • The highlights of the Lion City

You’ll be singing the praises of Singapore after your Signature Singapore Bike Tour, the guided day tour that explores the top sightseeing spots in the legendary Lion City. You’ll find yourself immersed in the spectacular culture of Singapore on a bicycle tour with discovery at its heart! In four fascinating hours, you’ll explore the Marina Bay Street Circuit, Singapore River, Chinatown, Haji Lane, Marina Bay, Merlion Park, European Town, Kampong Glam, Colonial District, Lau Pa Sat Hawker, Little India, and the secret backstreets that tell the more alternative stories of Singapore.

On your marks, get set, go! Your brilliant bike tour begins at the Marina Bay Street Circuit for an insight into the exhilarating activities at the Singapore Grand Prix, an unmissable event in the motor racing calendar forming part of the Formula One World Championship. You won’t be burning rubber as you enjoy a leisurely ride along the serene Singapore River though, appreciating astonishing views of the city skyline as the waters drift gently by.

You’ll know you’ve entered the entrancing district of Chinatown when the roads narrow and fascinating, colorful facades demand your attention. This captivating cultural enclave is divided into four dynamic sub-areas, each developed at a different time between 1820–1920: Telok Ayer, home to the Fuk Tak Chi Temple, Kreta Ayer, once the Red Light District of Chinatown, Bukit Pasoh, known historically for the kilns that lined the street used to fire ‘pasohs’ (storage jars), and Tanjong Pagar, where old meets new. On your bedazzling bike tour, you’ll ride past a rainbow of eclectic street stalls and buildings with ornate, colorful exteriors reminiscent of past eras in Singapore’s history. There are plenty of places to try some sumptuous Singaporean specialities at the Chinatown Complex Food Centre, and you’ll want to return to the Buddha Tooth Relic Temple at night when it’s spectacularly underlit.

Let your guide lead you onwards to Haji Lane, a super-cool stretch of the city known for its infectious indie vibe, emanating from various eclectic eateries, boho boutiques, and characterful cafes. Haji Lane is a cultural hotspot for young Singaporean locals who meet friends in the off-the-wall hangouts that define this part of the Kampong Glam neighborhood.

Your bike tour moves on to Marina Bay, home to the high-class resort of Marina Bay Sands, and the dynamic downtown area of Singapore. Various buildings here form iridescent icons in the Singapore skyline, including the glamorous Gardens by the Bay, the famous Marina Bay Sands, and the superbly shaped The Sail @ Marina Bay hotel.

Pedaling on to Merlion Park, make friends with Singapore’s iconic mythical creature, the Merlion, regarded as a personification of the city and widely used as its mascot. The curious creature, with its body of a fish and head of a lion, stands at a height of 8.6 meters and spouts an impressive stream of gurgling water from its magnificent mouth.

Your bicycle tour takes you on to European Town, a bustling borough where European and Singaporean cultures blend in an intriguing and thought-provoking way. From here, you’ll glide into the neighborhood of Kampong Glam, Singapore’s Muslim Quarter, home to streets lined with stores selling brightly colored textiles and aromatic restaurants with tantalizing global menus. Regard the sunlight as it glints off the golden dome of the Sultan Mosque, visible through the fronds of vibrant palm trees that cast dancing shadows ahead of your bike wheels.

You’ll continue on to the Colonial District, where neo-Palladian buildings cast resplendent reflections into the Singapore River. Here, you’ll be awe-struck by the arresting architecture of the Old Parliament House, Old Supreme Court, and City Hall, colonial buildings that are at odds with the progression symbolized by Singapore’s skyline of ambitious skyscrapers.

Sensory delights await you at Lau Pa Sat, an enormous hawker center where international food stalls stretch from wall to wall. Just nearby is Little India, a carnival of color forming another cultural enclave of the city, defined by its vibrant storefronts selling entrancing textiles, enticing restaurants, and mesmerizing mosques and temples telling the story of Indian culture in Singapore. It is from here that your fascinating day tour turns back to base, keeping a few surprises up its sleeve as you bike down some of Singapore’s secret backstreets, each telling its own part in the riveting story of this remarkable city.
