Discover the harmony of city and sea

Cycle to the most sensational sightseeing spots in stunning San Sebastián on this guided day tour of the city! In just 2.5 hours, this brilliant bicycle tour, with the added benefit of bike rental, takes in El Peine del Viento, La Concha Bay, the Urumea River, the Kursaal Conference Center, Zurriola Beach, and City Port. It’s your all-encompassing experience of San Sebastián city center, with a large dose of discovery!

Exploring El Peine del Viento, admire Eduardo Chillida’s three unique seaside sculptures, entitled ‘The Comb of the Wind’, arranged by the Basque architect Luis Peña Ganchegui. Each sculpture weighs over 9 tonnes and is positioned where the city ends and the sea starts, the shape of the sculptures ensuring that the wind continually ‘combs’ La Concha Bay. The bay itself is one of the most famous and photographed in Europe, an incandescent crescent of glistening sand stretching from City Hall to the Pico del Loro (Parrot’s Beak). Park your bicycle up on one of the best city beaches in Europe before pedaling along the picturesque promenade.

Your guided tour takes you on to the banks of the Urumea River, where you’ll ride along the elegant walkway and admire the tranquil waters as they journey to the Bay of Biscay. You’ll soon be cycling up to the Kursaal Conference Center, an incredible complex opened in 1999 and featuring a grand auditorium and exhibition halls in a striking and modern architectural style. Bike a few yards to Zurriola Beach, the liveliest length of beach in San Sebastián, famous for its superior surf. Locals flock here for games of beach volleyball or to catch a wave in the tantalizing turquoise waters.

Finally, your day tour pedals to City Port, San Sebastián’s intriguing, triangular port where boat trips depart daily to tour the captivating coastline, and where others move serenely around their moorings. It’s a postcard-perfect Spanish scene, with the Sagrado Corazón Statue rising up beautifully above you on the magnificent Mount Urgull.

A fun and informative tour around San Sebastián

“The bike tour was the perfect way to see the City of San Sebastián. Our tour guide was excellent and very knowledgable about the city. The bike path system is so extensive that we never had to use the same right of way as the cars. We were very happy that we chose this tour.”

—Billie Geyer
