Sip and cycle in Saint-Émilion

Pedal through picturesque countryside and verdant vineyards on the Saint-Émilion E-Bike Tour with Lunch & Wine Tasting. Over the course of this e-bike day tour you'll visit two renowned chateaux, including a family-run estate and a Grand Cru Classé estate.

You'll meet your guide in Bordeaux, where you'll be driven through the lush pastures of Gironde, towards the medieval center of Saint-Émilion. Stretch your legs on arrival with a gentle ride through the charming, narrow streets of this UNESCO World Heritage status village.

Cycling out into the surrounding countryside, you'll begin to spot turrets peeping over the leafy vineyards that line every path. This is a sure sign you're in châteaux country, and before long you'll make your first stop at a family-run estate. Your tour will include a visit to the vat house and chateau cellar, where you'll learn about the traditional winemaking process that has been handed down the generations. As your guide speaks, you'll experience the vitality of passion the viticulturists of this region have for their traditional, centuries-old culture.

Take a break to enjoy a picnic lunch in the garden of the chateau, before you walk through the village of Saint-Emilion on a guided tour. Your guide will recount a wealth of stories from its vast and varied history, including the tale of the altruistic Breton monk, Émilion, after whom the village is named.

Your bicycle tour will conclude with a ride to the prestigious, classified growth estate of Château Côte de Baleau on the outskirts of Saint-Émilion for a tour and tasting session. Learn about the winemaking process, from the vine to the bottle, on an estate that was awarded the selective Grand Cru Classé status in 2012. Finish your bike tour of this region's vibrant viticulture with a tasting of the estate’s best vintages. You'll return to the city of Bordeaux with a wealth of knowledge and a discerning palette for some of southern France's best wines

An unforgettable adventure through the heart of wine country
